You can search HPD:Search-Worklog for the word you want ('Notes' LIKE
"%word%"), then build a report and schedule it. (I think AR report scheduling
was introduced in 8.1) - not sure what version you're on.

Question for you all.

Is there a way I can set something up to say... go into a work log (diary
field) and search for a word or phrase and then spit out a report?

The answers I have seen were to search the new Worklog entries not a diary
field. I do remember that there were utilities created on the list that allow
searching a diary field. You can review the BMC Communities and do a search of
archives on ARSList.org.

In 7.5 you can do the following:

Open an incident

Under Advanced Functions select Advanced Search > Search Incidents by Work
Info.

All sorts of cool information to search on.

Are you using ITSM? If so, there is usually an "Advanced Search" function in
the left navigation bar on the consoles or directly in the ticket search/modify
views.

It lets you do this type of search pretty easily.
