"-CH is Convention Hall. The reference is to the liquor license being used by Asbury Partners at the Tiki Bar. How bout the license for Club Deep? AP Partners said they wanted a family BW and the first thing they did was open two alcohol establishments. But no rides for the kiddies. GO FIGURE!"
they also said, familys would be encourged during the day, but at night it would be a different situation (bars, clubs dont usally get as much attention as they do at night) there are no rides, and i dont think there will be? unless they change their minds about that. or if a developer comes along, who wants to. then i guess maybe they would allow it.

Sharon, I'm not sure if your remark is directed at me. If so, my
answer was hardly intended as 'flippant'. Your question about the
Master Plan is very important, unfortunately the answer is impossible
to give in a synopsis. One can ask - what is the City's master plan? -
in a philosophical context and the answer would be - to make the
City a better place.

Technically the Master Plan is a statutory set of guidelines and
directions that is forward looking in nature. It consists of several
documents that collectively are called 'the Master Plan'.

Each document deals with a particular subject, for example: Land Use
and Zoning or Traffic Circulation or Recreation or Historic
Preservation, etc, etc,.

It's impossible to give a summary or overview of the Master Plan, it
is a set of seperate but interdependent documents that form the
guiding policies of the City.

The best (only) way to grasp it is to actually read its 100's of
pages, hense my refering you to them at City Hall.

Werner

The design context of a Main street and that of the waterfront in
Asbury Park are quite different. What's good for one may not be good
for the other. The beauty, look and feel of the beachfront is
directly related to the apprpriate use of open space.

Set backs from property lines, green buffer zones, view corridors,
widths of streets and other built variables have a great effect on
the value of the area. Building of every available square foot
devalues the very design and beauty that gives our beachfront its
character.

I don't understand what you're refering regarding the relation
between Kingsley and Cookman. I was speaking about the new
construction north of the BC Hotel.

No Werner,
I wasn't directing it to you but you gave the answer I was looking for and I thank you. I did find some documentation online. Very informative. What I meant is, I make a statement and I get 5-7 different answers from well meaning and some NOT so well meaning individuals. Overall, the information I pick up here is positive for the most part. It's ironic that after being here for a couple of days, I read items in the Coaster and the Tri-City News that may have been posted here and I find that also a good thing. I think that the group here is knowledgeable, informative and really the best thing going because at least here you can voice your concern rather than be disrespected and shouted down at a council meeting or seen as a pariah and against the grain of the status quo. No, wasn't directed at you. You may not remember me, but we've met and I found you a very affable and likable person. I really appreciate what you do for this town and urge you to stay at it. It's great to see you here! Stay well,

OH! So where did this liquor license materialize from, Uncle Phil? Word is HE owned ALL of the liquor licenses on the shore except, the Legions in Neptune, the VFW in Neptune, The Elks on Asbury Ave., etc., the non-profits and veterans organizations. Don't know if the VFW in Asbury has one or the Sons of Italy. Maybe they got the license from the Redwood, but I heard the Redwood is about to reopen. Oh, the Redwood was owned by Vance Funderberk, a Black man and he DID own his license, also. So, where did the Tiki Bar get the money, UEZ? Just kidding! Thanks! Sounds like they want a "Little Miami" here! All we need is the Art Deco look, but wait, we do! CH, is Art Deco but they tore everything else down except the Casino! Of course they want to retain the 70's flavor of the Stone Pony. Don't know why, because ALL kinds of entertainment has come to CH and the Paramount! THEY were the venues that MOST artists sought to get into, rather than the small, cramped, Pony. My opinion. Club Paradise is a good example of the Miami-fication of Asbury with its' lighting effects and it's disco-type/Latin? sound? Just guessing. Never been there. Heard they don't like straights there, but it's a bit over my head anyway. If I walked in, they'd say, "Where's Grandma going"? No, I hang with a laid-back crowd. The slow-jams and oldies group/jazz funkies! Oh well, different strokes!SharonBoone[EMAIL PROTECTED]--charlieleonard<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>wrote:
