Lucky for us, she did! I couldn't find those stories either!
We are fortunate to have her around and she's the best NewsHound, in
Asbury Park, as far as I'm concerned! She is now the Voice for the
Voiceless! We should really feel Blessed, for having her as a
reliable source! She keeps City Hall on their toes and all I can say
is, way to go, Maureen! Nancy Shields Reports for the Press, but
Maureen delivers the word! Say what you will, but I take Werner
serious, also, for the valuable information he gives and how City Hall
flaunts the rules, of how Bradley wanted this city to look and be run.
 Historical Society?

Cute window dressing, that is useless, as far as I'm concerned.
Maureen, you get 2 thumbs up! JR, you have no idea how valuable you
really are, when you too, step up to the plate! You don't know how
much I appreciate the wonderful things you do, even though, we don't
agree politically! When you jab at others in the group, I wonder
about you, but underneath all that, is your Mom's baby, Tommy! You
want to be seen as tough and you are! I've been knocked to the floor
a few times by you, but I've gotten up and thrown some jabs of my own
back! You get 100 AttaBoys, for defending Werner!

There's another issue that is being completely ignored. The potential effects
of global
warming over the next 20 years. I don't want to start a debate of the cause of
global
warming. Facts are showing that our planet is warming quicker then normal, and
predictions coming from all over the world are saying that places like NYC and
the Jersey
shore are likely to experience flooding like never before. I hope this isn't
the case...but
what if it is?

Boy, Mario, I'd love it if someone besides me would ask that question
of local emergency manager Terry Reidy. Last time I asked it was no.
They're working on it. But the only plan I've seen is a 4-5 inch
stack of papers - 8 1/2 x 11. As for the party - count me in - now
that I don't have to worry about the downside of fertility
festivals. ;-)

2008-02-12 Thread radio881gal
Thank you, Tommy!!
That's exactly the problem. Just to evacuate Asbury Tower would take
at least 8 hours if not more. There was a sign at the intersection of
Rt 35 and Sunset instructing people to turn north. Please, no one
should do that. The roads relieving traffic from the east would be
choked off. People back here would be trapped.
Aside from the ribbing we got for making a point of all this on
Asbury Radio, I can tell you that the State Police, who run the
emergency response on the state level, were very concerned that
Conover wasn't coming back to us.
I know the AP fire chief is serious about getting the plan done. I
hope everyone asks him how it's coming along.
