Re: [AsburyPark] Re: Getting Angry Now
Tommy No I'm angry I did not accuse anyone of being a racist. I was asking a question of Garrett. If you think racism doesn't exist in good old Asbury Park think again. I'm angry that quite a few people are upset because a Black Father of children that are being cheated out of an education by attending the district schools. Had the good sense to speak out on what he believed for the benefit of his children. Sorry if you did not know what you were getting into with this one. Toni

Unfortunately, the sideshow, gets all the attention, until the tests scores come out, then it appears that the board isn't doing its' job, while the teachers who are tenured, get a get out of jail, free, card. If everyone, checked their egos at the door, maybe something could be achieved. Not blaming anyone, because there is something else, underlying all of this. Not racism, but could it be a certain bias, toward something...someone? --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, asburycheech [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, justifiedright justifiedright@ wrote: This Board of Education sounds like a bad episode of MTV's The Real World, where teenagers sit around yelling at one another: You're a racist! Clearly I owe the group an apology for cursing. Last week I had my 11 year old and my 12 year old write me a 200 word essay on why cursing is bad (take one guess why that was necessary). I guess I should go back and read them again for me. --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, dfsavgny [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, justifiedright justifiedright@ wrote: unadulterated bullshit. Toni with all due respect you are saying it again. You keep alleging people are against this man because he is a Black Father. You are not giving another reason why they might be against him other than being Black. That sure sounds like you are accusing them of racial prejudice to me. I still want to see the proof of why they are calling Mr. Hopson's writing racist and homophobic. I won't call him those terrible things unless I can see what he wrote and judge for myself. --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Tommy No I'm angry I did not accuse anyone of being a racist. Re: [AsburyPark] Re: Getting Angry Now
Tommy That's just my opinion I have not accused anyone of being racist. I have not seen anything Mr. Hopson has written using homophobic or racist comments. The problem I have it was said the board was going down because he was elected by the majority of the board. Toni

I am calling it like I see it and now I am letting it go. I have right to call it like I See It. What reason would anyone say Mr. Hopson is a racist and homophobic because I haven't any of his writings that support that. I am done done Good Nite
