[AsburyPark] Re: Help The Blue Bishops
Speaking of the njsiaa, there was a big investigation on their overcharging to see playoff and finals! I believe the investigation is ongoing. Someone ought to oversee them, too! I have the creeping feeling that ALL organizations, have some corruption, within them. Just saw a veterans organization on the nightly news. One of those that popped up, after 9-11. They payed General Franks, $100K, to endorse them! Seems they spent more on administration, (themselves), than what actually went to the vets, about 10% of what they took in, (millions), in donations! One aside: In Catholic Schools, the parents, bear the brunt of buying uniforms, books and any sports the kids participate in, the PARENTS, pay for any uniforms. My grandson is running track for Red Bank Catholic. Everything, came out of my kids' pocket, down to sweat pants and hooded sweat shirts. My son-in-law, is a graduate of APHS, class of '84. I should know! Down to the X, on my sweater, my cheering outfit cost my parents PLENTY! Xavier was not a cheap school, not even in the 60's! I was a puny, 87 lbs. and always looked like I needed a meal! Very petite! Every year, I get a Please send money, Alumni letter! Nobody begs like the Catholics! Aw hell, I'll send a donation! --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, oakdorf [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, justifiedright justifiedright@ wrote: They can't find the money in their highest per capita in the state, $80 million budget? I'll want to see proof that the Bd of Ed can't pay before making a donation to an organization with an $80 million budget full of taxes. Thanks. I almost felt guilty asking that question about $25k for jackets and rings. It's not an $80 m budget - it's a $100m budget. YOu get confused - that $80 (per YEAR) is what the state kicks in. I think the principal quoted at the press conference about 550 high school kids. So is there room at the high for BOE offices? Actually, why not have the shore conference or the njsiaa pay for it. I think my kids pay about $5 to go to a game. While it's not to get donations and support - it's about time accountability kicks in. when the jackets and rings are purchased - get three proposals. Oak I think your number is off. The State kicks in about $56 million in Abbott money. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I recall seeing last time I looked it up. JR: Parents were told that there was no money to bus their kids, after closing thier school. I'll bet I see 3 or 4 buses every school day bringing the kids over here, from the West Side. Don't know about the high school for the 8th graders, but it's too far, for small children and with no public transportation coming up Bangs Ave., they found money for those buses! 80 million? Hey, $25K is a drop in the bucket! 80 Million? I hear it costs a $1000, a month, for the board to exist at 601 Grand. They should refurbish the building on Memorial Drive. Where is the Senior Center going to be? What happened to the $200K, Bruce donated? I'm confused! --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, justifiedright [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: They can't find the money in their highest per capita in the state, $80 million budget? When my kids were in high school, their varsity jackets were bought by me! My daughter, Angie has 2! The ring was their class ring, also bought by me, their junior year! where are their parents? If they can buy expensive sneakers, buy the jacket! --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, oakdorf [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, Michael W.
