Mr. Fashions is now on Route 35.

Sister Sue's was a lovely restaurant that I frequented often. I was very sad to
see if go. The food was awesome.

When Mr Fashion was on Cookman and Carl Williams was the owner, I once had a
long talk with him. Don't forget, he even served as mayor. If I recall
correctly, members of his own community called him names, like Uncle Tom.

I once came up with list of minority owned banks. And sent to someone in the
city.

Maybe the city leaders should an african american business summit. Plan ahead,
invite minority owned businesses leaders.

Should be a joint effort between school and UEZ, Commerce and State.

is there an ACTIVE community/neighborhood watch program in AP? Meetings, etc.
I see signs around AP but is it active? I don't live in AP full time, yet, but
will offer as much of my time as possible and get actively involved. weekend,
weeknights, whatever.

Beyond a watch program there are an incredible number of resources here
http://www.ncpc.org/ that provide guidance beyond just neighborhood watch.

Has/does the city offered meeting rooms for a group? Offered to work with
anyone on it? What's the history of the watch program and where do we stand
today?

Funny seeing McGruff on that link.

Around 1993 when I was one of few stores on the boadwalk - there was really NO
ONE on the boardwalk. No one. Trust me.

The PD came down to the boardwalk. They had no one to be McGruff.

I called my mother. she came down to sit in the store while I was handed a
trench coat and the McGruff head. It was around 90 degrees.

My mother was worried that someone would come and order something. Told her not
to worry. there was no one on the boardwalk.

I would love to find a picture of that. That was pretty much before everyone
had a camera.

That was pretty much my acting career.
