Re: [AsburyPark] Re: you say tomato... I say.....
Try not to interpret any one post or subject thread as someone's overall world-view. It is a human tendency to comment more often when Man bites dog instead of Dog bites man, but I do take heart that, in the long run, our checks and balances do work, especially when the Fourth Estate is thrown in the mix. My personal preference, rather than any super heroes or new-age meditation, are the age-old classics whose time-tested wisdom always manages to survive and resurface in tough times. And I like writers who pose questions rather than pose. Like Nancy Gibbs: Have these last months left us humbled or hardened, bitter at all we think we have lost, or grateful for what we once took for granted? I'll jump on grateful as an antidepressant. ;-) In a message dated 1/2/2009 9:05:00 A.M. You can say that again! I yell back at the TV, when a commentator says that Bush won 2 elections and I say since when? Bush was no more than a puppet for Cheney! If anything went bad on Bush's watch, they don't blame Cheney, they blame Bush. Obama has'nt taken the oath yet, and already he's being blamed for the recession/depression.
