What is the job of Jewell? PR or running events? If we hired them for PR,
looking at the website, we hired the wrong company. However, if their role is
only to stage these events, then I guess we are getting what we pay for. I
thing the city needs a PR firm.

I went to Jewell Marketings website. I think I found out why the
idea of a hundred banjo players was marketed for the Apple Festival.
Mr. Jewell teaches banjos. Not only are we paying them for
marketing, were paying for them to have a banjo bash.

One last note, Jewell Marketing is from Fair Haven. Gilmour is a
council member from there or was one. Is that how we pick talent?

I could think of a few people who think we know it all and can do it.

Send the check, please. We'll even buy some stuff for recreation, with
 our names plastered on it.

If I were them, I would of gone back to the old slogan Jewell of the
 Jersey Shore.

Then I'd bring in Jewell, the singer, http://www.jeweljk. com/ in the
Paramount. For the summer '08. She can sing.

As soon as Werner hits the lottery, I'll book her.

I'd fix the AC in Convention Hall and bring in Antiques Roadshow.
There has to be someone in AP with connections to this show.

Hasn't Jewell Marketing had an office in Asbury Park for several years?

Maybe that's how (or why) they were chosen.
