Re: [asterisk-users] problems with PJSIP install on UBUNTU 14.04
Ok, I reinstalled pkg-config from apt-get and now I think it¹s all good. Man, PJSIP has been a chore to get working right on this server and on the last. Though the last server wasn¹t near the issue this was. Lol I think what happened was that after initial trouble, I ran the ³install prereq² or something like that and it must have did it¹s own install of pjsip that sent me down a duplicate path, etc. Thanks Josh and all! One issue I have is I don't want it to make the extensions table, because I already use that name of table for some proprietary stuff I use. I’ve looked at the links I’ll put below and the comments section where others had the issue, but those tips aren’t helping either. Basically everything seems to compile and install correctly, but then the “ldconfig –p | grep pj” doesn’t show anything. So ldconfig when ran by itself isn’t picking up on the install of pjsip. Also when going into the process of menuselect it shows that it’s not available as a resource. Do you have the pkg-config package installed? That is what the build system uses for finding the right stuff. Also what does the following show: ls /usr/lib/libpj*.so ls /usr/local/lib/libpj*.so And what did you pass to the configure script for pjproject? -- Joshua Colp Digium, Inc. | Senior Software Developer 445 Jan Davis Drive NW - Huntsville, AL 35806 - US Check us out at: www.digium.com & www.asterisk.org -- _ -- Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com -- New to Asterisk? That is guaranteed to cause crashes. You must remove the static build of PJPROJECT from your system. Richard [Ryan, Travis] I’m not sure what that means. I just built it how the wiki says too, and earlier messages in this thread. ☺ -- _ -- Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com -- New to Asterisk? Re: [asterisk-users] problems with PJSIP install on UBUNTU 14.04
Ok I did all that and it's still crashing. I did find some other areas I think that shouldn't have had any of those files, so I thought it would work, because I got rid of ALL of them per your instructions and completely reconfigured and compiled both pjsip and then asterisk. Attached is the new backtrace... -Original Message- From: asterisk-users-boun...@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-boun...@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Joshua Colp Sent: Wednesday, September 23, 2015 7:05 PM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: Re: [asterisk-users] problems with PJSIP install on UBUNTU 14.04 On 15-09-23 08:00 PM, Ryan, Travis wrote: > I ran all the uninstall commands and the rm commands.
