makeimage.sh is deprecated.  Use makerunnix.sh instead.

The astlinux tree pulls down everything you need by itself.  You don't need to 
download Asterisk...  and Asterisk release numbering is orthogonal to our 
release numbering.

Don't run 0.6.2.  It's not supported any longer.  0.6.7 is the only supported 
0.6.x release.

[Astlinux-users] boot error

hi,
i am new to astlinux. i am trying to make custom astlinux using VMWare.
download the source of astlinux 0.5 because i need (asterisk version less then 
1.4.19)

   1. cp astlinux.config .config
   2. make oldconfig
   3. make menuconfig (remove some package from default setting like: dialog, 
oslec)
   4. make

after compile.
    $ ./makeimage.sh
    
        Checking if "/boot/grub/stage1" exists... no
        Checking if "/grub/stage1" exists... no
        
        Error 15: File not found
    
    my question is ...
 
    1. what mistake i did ?

  Your flash card doesn't do IDE emulation properly and is showing up
as a slave device on the primary IDE controller.

  You can either use a different flash card (Sandisk works well) or
modify your grub.conf to pass "root=/dev/hdb1" to the kernel.
