[Audiogames-reflector] voiceover and skipping words on mac.

2013-07-30 Thread AudioGames.net Forum — Off-topic room: brad

voiceover and skipping words on mac.

Hi.I've wrote to apple accessibility telling them about this bug or problem.I would like anyone else to tel me on here if they have exspireanced the same thing.I will post the email I wrote and the responce and the other email.I will addmit that I was kind of silly or harsh in my last email, but I hope you can see why.ssilly of me, maybe but well what's done is done.here they are.Start of messages.Hi.I've noticed that when I do a say all command with voiceover it sometimes decides to skip over certain words.I can't give you an example because it seems to be random.it will read then skip a word and then carry on reading. Please fix this in the next update.Thanks,Brad.    Hi, Bradley,Thanks for taking the time to write to Apple and report that VoiceOver seems to be skipping words once in a while, randomly. We appreciate your concern, but as you have probably considered, we'll need a little more information to help us determine if VoiceOver has a bug that causes this, or if it might be a content issue. We're going to explain a little bit about how things have to work for VoiceOver to behave predictably, in hopes that you may be able to spot a pattern of some sort.  They may be something you should just ignore, or they just might, possibly, be a clue to a bug we should fix.  But from your report, we don't have enough information to know where to begin.VoiceOver is a screen reader, and as such, it simply reads the "words" on the screen.  We put "words" in quotes here, because under the hood, at the computer level these words are composed of letters that are themselves representatiuons of numbers are usually one byte in length, or for some langauges two bytes.  Thus there are either 255 possible values, or 65,534.  In the old days of computing, when much of our current technology was being worked out, the very lowest number codes were reserved for "control characters": special codes like bell, carriage return, tab, end-of-file, acknowledge, null, end transmission, line feed, cancel, negative acknowledge, and a bunch of other stuff we can't remember anymore.  Starting with a value of 32, there are the actual characters humans use to read and write text in a human language.  First are space and other punctuation, then at 48 numbers begin, and at sixty-five, we get to the first character of the alphabet.  If you speak a Western language, that's usually something like upper-case "A".The "control characters" are by defintion recognized by the computer and may be enacted upon, but are not themselves usually printable.  A tab, for example, is just as much a character as is the letter "A", but a computer sees it as an instruction to make the cursor jump to the right.   If a tab code appears in the middle of a word, then that word will have a space in the middle, separating some of its letters from the other; we might expect VoiceOver to interpret it as two words, even if it doesn't make sense.  But it's kind of hard to say what might happen if some mistake occurred in creating the text VoiceOver is reading and some weirder symbol got stuck in there, like a "cancel", or a "bell" or "start transmission" code. While it's true that a screen reader should know how to ignore things that aren't prounceable words, it's also true that there are rules for writing any language, and it's and less flexibly equally true that there are very precise rules for rendering that language into computer-readable codes.  If somebody breaks the rules, you could end up with something that might cause trouble for VoiceOver, or other screen readers.  VO might pronounce something you don't recognize, or conceivably just skip the word. The only other kind of problem besides encoding that might cause VoiceOver to skip words would be if there was something else running on your computer that occasionally either causes the system to sort of "burp", or that is really bogging down the processor.  The first kind of computer glitch may happen if a piece of software (potentially including VoiceOver) that's currently running on your computer generates or encounters certain kinds of errors that require a brief period of time to address.  The second kind is if some piece of software is so preoccuppying the processor that eveyrthing slows down: most folks notice this sort of thing. => If you are experiencing one or the other type of "glitch" caused by software on your computer, you may need assistance from AppleCare, or perhaps from an Apple retail store.  This email address does not provide technical support.  Instructions as to how to reach AppleCare are at the bottom of this letter.OK: so much for all those details of what's going on with the computer side of things.  How does this help to understand what you are experiencing?  To provide us with useful information, you need a certain understanding that will help you determine what's reasonable and what's not, of these skipped words. Most of what we suspect is involved here w

You wouldn't happen to have any psychologists handy? Counselors, at least? The status hit associated with talking to professionals is slowly but surely fading away.If you've already done this without positive results... how many different professionals? At least in the US, there's this nasty tendency for psychologists to require that you basically do all the work, which is kinda lame. Maybe find one specializing in CBT, since that's actually done better than normal talking about it.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142843#p142843

Dudes, you got it all wrong. I have a realtech audio sound card on a dell inspiron m5030 laptop, and when I got the thing it said that I only had the microphone. Then however, I tried to update the sound card driver through device manager and it said I was using the latest version. I went to dell.com, clicked on the drivers and downloads home, searched for my product, and downloaded the realtech driver. I turned the computer back on and wa la! There it was!So, don't give up DD, just if you have a dell do what camlorn said and look up the driver on either dell or some other provider that you use.PS. Well bladestorm, I'm not sure on Kodp, since a lot of questions about the seasons, correct rates of sacrifice, which god is which etc can all be found in the manual, indeed the same goes for a lot of more coplex games even now, and whether that manual is a printed instruction booklet, a readme or an in game screen it is still there, heck the uba movelists most beatemups now contain are pretty much the same thing older games used to give in the instructions, it's just an ease of space thing..But hay, there's no reason not to do both. Myself, I actually enjoy playing through the tutorial, then going back and reading the manual and letting it fill in the gaps, though where there isn't a tutorial I'll generally read the manual first since I find it a better introduction to go into a game knowing what I'm doing, plus I do enjoy the anticipation .URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142836#p142836

Re: Scrolling Battles 2

Achievements? Achievements fit in with every game. I think it's an awesome idea for any developer to use. Especially if the game has no storyline, it gives you something to work towards other than just an ending. I think it'd be cool if you could unlock your weapons instead of just starting with them all, using a combination of buying them from the shop and unlocking them by completing goals in levels and just collecting them from various places in levels. I also think it'd be cool if the shop was something you could only access outside of levels, like from the main menu. This is a really neat game though. I especially like how when you complete a level, you're literally warped to the next level, and you actually drop into the stage. Something about that just sounds really cool.BTW, Adventure at C: had more achievements than just defeating the viruses with the knife to protect the Zip archive.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142835#p142835

Hey, dude, I'd just like to say, in some ways, I get you, I can understand the bordem and a little bit of the isolation, though, you seem to have a bad case of that.Just... try not to do something drastic stop and think. It may not seem like there is alot to live for, or anything at all, but try and remember those good times you had at the camp, remember the fun and the good times. While that girl at the camp may not be the one for you, there may be some lucky girl out there who is for you and will make you feel like everything, there is a quote:"To the world, you are one person, but to one person, you are the world,"I will agree, yes, there are tons of assholes out there. Being blind is a huge fucking disadvantage when it comes to being social, becuase most of our contact is made through visual means. My Mom and DAd often wonder what happened "to their little social boy," but people change. If it's worth anything and you want to tal

In AAC, that was a zip archive. This game isn't nesisarily a game with a computer like story line. Initially, I thought the story line was nothing, just that the objec was to survive, rack up weapon damage, defeet the boss and stuff... I could be wrong though. Re: Let's really dig in to Tolkiin and Lord of the Rings,

That's the thing though. The American radioplay, done by a company called The Mind's Eye, had repeat actors coming up for major parts. To befair they did have a very small budget but it was still jarring to here the actress who played Pippin also voicing Galadriel. Te the actor who did the narration and voiced Gollum also voiced Butterbur and Gimley. He also voiced the Nazgul, which was probably my biggest complaint since all he did was speak in a monotone with an added echo effect. Then Eric Bauersfeld voiced Boromir, Theoden and later the Herbmaster in Return of the King. Fortunately Bernard Mayes was just about what I would have imagined Gandalf as sounding like. Unfortunately they also pronounced Sauron as Saw Ron and Saruman was SuhRuman.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142823#p142823

2013-07-30 Thread AudioGames.net Forum — General Game Discussion: bladestorm360

Re: Thoughts on instructions

I didn't say instructions were being phased out, just the booklets. Most in game instructions are provided in the form of a tutorial these days, even for showing more complex mechanics. They just construct multiple tutorials. For example, it's very possible to play King of Dragon Pass without the Manual, I did it. They make an approach to multiple type of gamers by using the tutorial to go into enough depth to figure out the game, but they offer a manual for people who want to really buckle down and read up more on the game. I'm personally more of a pick it up and play gamer, the only thing I ever read documentation for on computer games, and the only reason I do it is because most don't have tutorial levels, is to find out what the controls are. It's a lot easier to pick up a console controller and hit buttons till you know what does what, than it is to press all the buttons on your keyboard till you figure things out, lol. But then again, you don't
have to do that on most console games these days, because the controls are explained when you first start the game, or are obvious like in fighting games.Either way, I'd definitely be cool with a manual and a tutorial. You'd reach a wider audience that way, and a lot of blind gamers seem to like reading documentation before the play anyway, for some reason.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142809#p142809

Re: how to buy a item in puppetnightmares

Hi Mike. Yes, the lists of items are for reference, but generally there's no need to go to the item list just! to see the stats, it's quicker and easier to do this in the shop by clicking an item as I said. Indeed, I'd personally advise not following thee item lists too closely unless you want to physically start building items, since generally speaking a shop's stock will be random and your best off just finding out what items your particular soul puppet takes, then looking in the shop for good examples with stat boosts that match that puppet, in particular get used to comparing your puppet's stats and the items in the shop. Also, remember that the item lists you see stats for are the items with no modifications and at default quality. In the shop, you'll see a selection of different items with different properties, some of which might affect their stats. For example, troll skills tend to use their mgc stat, so a staff of magic might be
better for your troll than a similar staff of stone. As I said, a simple game puppet nightmares is not!URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142807#p142807

2013-07-30 Thread AudioGames.net Forum — General Game Discussion: Dark

Re: Thoughts on instructions

@bladestorm, while instructions are being phased out on iphone games it is true, remember that for a sighted person on an iphone game, --- -and indeed if the game is properly constructed with vo, all information is present on matters like controls, stats etc, plus things like popups can be constructed, rather like what happens when you click on stats in something like Solara, or use the "view stats" button in choiceofgames titles. That may not be the same on a pc or mac game simply because a player might need to use controls. Also, for complex games where mechanics can be far more than what is immediatelly visible on screen, manuals are! still provided, look at Kodp or silver sword for an example, indeed it's by reading the Silver sword manual that access suggestions can be made. I would also say that a tutorial and a manual (or readme), serve different purposes. Look at king of dragon pass or smugglers for an example. The tutorial lets you pick up the
game and start playing giving you an initial setup and explaining some basic aspects, the same might be true in more action orientated games as well. If however the game goes beyond what is immediately obvious with controls, with  more complex mechanics, or information that needs providing, or if there are sutomizable aspects such as setting controls, or matters that could do with more clarrification, then a manual is entirely necessary. This is why I personally would go for both a tutorial and! a readme, since they serve different purposes.Regarding formats, size etc, size doesn't matter to a screen reader, make it as you like, though since screen readers can't skim read, it'd be good to have a way to skip between sections quickly, be this htmlified links, or even just a convenient find method such as putting ++ at the start of main sections and + at the start of subsections.I will agree that html is a preference, since screen readers
have good ways of navigating html quickly and skipping to links, headings or what not, but it's by no means manditory, and if you'd prefer a simpler text doument that's fine to so long as the labeling for sections is reasonable. Such would be my thought anyway.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142806#p142806

Re: Let's really dig in to Tolkiin and Lord of the Rings,

@Dark abomination, I always admire swan's music, since swan was a highly accomplished composer, I even have a remastered recording of the original comedy variety show complete with songs he did with michael flanders, which includes such well known songs as mud glorious mud, have sum madeera me'deerand the gnu song. It also surprises me how much like gilber and sullivan's music it comes out as, but then again with the word smith like Tolkien and such a harmonic composer as swan it's not surprising. he also apparently wrote an opera of Lewis sf novell, perelandra, but sadly there aren't any recordings that I can find, or none I've managed to get yet.@Bryan, I'll have a look on youtube, and also ask around. I've seen the original animated lotr, which interestingly enough also features Michael graham cox and Peter woodthorp reprising their rolls as Boromir and golum respectively, though unfortunately it did suffer from many horribl
e moments, including an amusingly quite camp frodo and some horrible misspronounciations, eg, they renamed Saruman to Aruman just so he wouldn't be confused with Sauron, who's name they also  also  pronounced sore ronn, with the first syllable as in chain sor (just what some people need), as opposed  to the first syllable being  sowe, as in rhyming with cow.I've also heard the bbc adapted several of the tolkien's other stories including the farmer of Ham, which sort of serves as a prototype for the hobbit as it's also about a country farmer who overcomes a dragon by guile, and also a stand alone adaptation of the meeting with tom bombadil, though with different actors to the radio play.I've also heard there is a lotr musical, though I've never seen it and have no idea how you condense so much story, even if it were the same length as something like les miserables. I have also seen two adaptations of the h
obbit. Btw, the bbc also eren't afraid to have the same actors portraying different rolls. i recently  listened to the radio adaptation of ursula Le Guin's wizard of earthsea, and that has several repeated actors, though it doesn't suffer too much since the repeats are well apart in the story thus making them less obvious. I think it was something that bert cools regularly did as producer since it also comes up in his sherlock holmes adaptations too, though there it doesn't matter as much, heck several of the random parts even in the bbc lotr play were repeats, such as Knob butterbur's assistant who regularly turned up as orcs, ruffieens, soldiers or various other extraas, ditto with paul broook, John weeb, Gorden Read and several others, though in fairness these only turn up for smaller parts rather than major ones.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.p

Re: stereo mix on windows 7 64 bit

As I said, virtual audio cable or one of tward's pieces of software.  It is not trivial.  You can definitely leave yourself without working audio while you set it up.  I know VAC, but explaining how to get it working via a forum post is way, way too hard-and I'm not sure I could.  These are pieces of software that let you map outputs of your sound card to inputs, i.e. the headphones are going to the microphone.  It is powerful, but the price is that it is complex.  The idea is that you send audio through a virtual audio cable as the default audio device; run the virtual audio cable repeater to hear it at the same time; go into your microphone's properties, check listen to this device, and select the virtual audio cable as the device you want to listen to it on; and configure skype or other software to listen to the microphone corresponding to the virtual audio cable you're using.  There is one other configuration that lets you
do this without hearing your own voice, but let's not go there.  There are other alternatives--Tward's post--but I don't know them.  I was sending Camlorn_audio to a teamtalk channel using this configuration for a quick live demo.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142800#p142800

Re: Can anyone provide a painless solution for this?

Word concatenation works for limited domain provided that you record the punctuation intonation.  That is, you can't just record hello, you need "hello.", "hello,", "Hello?", and "hello!" at the least.  If this is for getting your screen reader to sing, well, just sing yourself and get a song in literally 1/1000th the time.  Any voice you record yourself won't be able to go very fast, either, and it really does take about 100 hours of recordings to get true naturalness.  Someone should poke Philip-he did this.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142798#p142798

I understand what you're saying about instruction booklets being faded out. However, for the purpose of a prototype where to the focus is not on the game and the presentation, I just want to get the information to the participant in the best possible way.I think if the game was to be released I would avoid the readme approach and use audio to explain what to do in a more engaging way.So for these prototypes I am trying to judge what people want, or whether I should cater for all people which I think I will probably do. Currently I have the system you mentioned regarding a readme type of documentation. As well as that I have instructions within the game which can be read.I like the idea of a tutorial level, something I didn't think of! Re: need windows eyes

One of my favorite features of NVDA is it's AddOns. I don't know of any other screen reader that has complete plugin functionality like NVDA. And there really are some impressive ones. Within weeks of JFW's OCR feature, NVDA already had an AddOn for it. And of course, the one I use most often, the InstantTranslate AddOn. I'm sure there are others I would find useful, but since NVDA isn't my primary screen reader I haven't really looked into them much yet. I can definitely say I'm very impressed though, especially for a free product.I use Jaws as my primary reader, and I only have two real problems with it, Freedom Scientific support and all that crap aside because I really don't care about or use any of that. I have the Firefox crashing problem, and I have a problem where if I load JFW up after I've loaded a page in Internet Explorer, it crashes about 90% of the time. Oddly enough it doesn't completely close the program, jus
t causes a webpage error that claims one of the IE addons caused the error, and I can return to the exact page of the website I was on, so *shrug* at that one. Other than that I've had no real problems with Jaws, it works with pretty much all applications I need it to, and even works on my netbook.I tried Window Eyes 6.1 and wasn't that impressed. It worked with far less applications than Jaws, had a cursor navigation system I really didn't like and could only speak at a certain rate for elloquence. I've heard they've fixed a lot of those problems in 7.0 and up, but I haven't tried them and probably never will, since I won't pay for something I don't intend to use.I think I had a demo copy of Hal on my system at one point, but I never really used it, so I have no idea how that one works at all.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142790#p1

My vote is to put the instructions in the game, as in a tutorial mode, or a tutorial level before you start actual gameplay. Unless these are going to be controllers of your own design, that will have different buttons or methods of control than is normal, I think that's what games should start doing instead of including ReadMe or documentation. Documentation was phased out a long time ago in the mainstream world, hardly any games come with instruction booklets these days.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142788#p142788

Re: ayakashi for IOS

Haypi Monster is only inaccessible in terms of breeding. That is doable but is very luck based without knowing what gender your monster is, so you end up wasting a lot of seal cards. Everything else is perfectly usable, the only reason I haven't beaten all the scenes yet is because I just got kinda bored with it. There wasn't enough storyline to keep me interested, and without breeding, making powerful monsters is exceptionally hard.Ooo, crap. I think I just took credit for someone elses review. I forgot that I didn't do the Legends review, I only did Galaxy Saga, which is made by the same company. So if whoever did that review is on this forum, I apologize profusely for that. Very much my bad.The storyline in this game is ... well, it's ok. I spent some of the morning playing a little more of it and got past the second chapter. It has quite a bit more story than I expected given the game's varient, every quest within a chapter has some story
line, and each chapter has an entire intro explaining what will happen. And I'm only on the first story, which is kind of the introduction to the universe. I still don't see myself playing it for long though. I can already see that it's going to get heavily unbalanced for people that donate, and that's unfortunate since there are some rather large PVP penalties, including losing silver, losing items you've earned trying to get demons, and some other things. On the plus side, you can only be attacked a limited number of times because you have to have enough defense spirit to run your team, but still, I don't like it when PVP games balance things towards donators and add penalties if you can't empty your pockets into the game.As a side note, I'm pretty sure Jenleo was based more on the Alien Adoption Agency code, unless I'm misremembering. But yeah, I think you get the idea of where I was going with all the pre-coded engines in my la
st post. I didn't know that was based off an older version of Torn City, that would explain why I never liked that game, and why there are so many mobster varients of that code floating around.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142786#p142786

Re: Let's really dig in to Tolkiin and Lord of the Rings,

LOL. The American radioplay does have a small special place in my heart simply because it was my first true exposure to TOlkien (I hadn't really seen the 1970's cartoon of The Hobbit at that time), but now that I'm older I can't help but notice the flaws. It wasn't just the mispronunciations of place and character names and the fact that with few exceptions they used American actors attempting and failing to do convincing English accents. They also often had one actor doing in some cases three or more different parts. Frodo and Saruman were played by the same guy, who also voices Halbarad the Ranger as well as some of the Orcs. Theoden and Boromir were also played by Eric Bauersfeld, who interestingly also played Admiral Akbar and Bib Fortuna in Return of the Jedi. Then in a few cases women played male parts. Both Bombur in The Hobbit and Meri in the Lord of the Rings were voiced by a woman named Pat Franklin. Heck, she even voiced Thranduil in The Hobbit.
Then Tom Luice, who voiced Aragorn as I said earlier, also played Thorin in The Hobbit, though this was actually not a bad choice. He also voiced Treebeard in the LOTR play, but unfortunately they added an extremely anoying reverb effect to his voice for that role. To be fair though I really did like their chhoice of Gail Chugg as the narrator and the voice of Gollum. He did do a pretty fair job with Gollum as far as I'm concerned. Not quite as good as Peter Woodthorpe but at the same time not bad at all. The real problem with that production though is that unlike the BBC, who would usually gather all the actors together for recording sessions, here each actor recorded his or her part separately and they were just edited together in post production. Unfortunately this is painfully obvious to the ear, especially on headphones. If you want though Dark you can find the American radioplay on Youtube. You'd have to listen to it in parts of course but it is there. I don't
know if The Hobbit is there but I know you can find LOTR.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142784#p142784

4/8 posts in this thread so far refer to Model Talker. To clarify, the word inventory was for anything for which having a diverse recording database would be useful. The word_speaker class is included in the latest version of custom_voice.bgt; I _think_ it works reasonably well, but I haven't used it all that much, since I don't have a huge database of words in many voices. The big trouble with the word inventory approach is that, at some point, someone will have to take apart the recordings into words/phrases/phonemes/whatever their particular usage requires. So I've recorded it, but haven't managed to do anything useful with it.Also, I just read over it and realized that there's a lot of suspiciously specific stuff in there... Re: Finding and playing Infocom and other text adventures.

Hi. Firstly, yes it is quite possible to play the infocom games on a modern machine thanks to if  interpreters, which are  programs that can read those old text adventure game files just like your favourite media player can read   mp3s and other sound files. Various interpreters are kicking around the net. The one I'd personally recommend (especially for infocom games in zcode  format), is  Winfrotz, see here for details  this is the windows verson of frotz that Stuee mentioned, (strictly speaking frotz is a dos interpreter, winfrotz is the windows version). Many people also use Filfer see here for details which works better with Jaws if your using that screen reader. I've not tried gargoil myself so don't know about that one. As for the  infocom games, some  are indeed  available at&
nbsp; the link Stuee mentioned, however a  chap called Ibrahim has put together a great collection of all the infocom adventures plus instructions books, manuals, invisiclues and other goodies.  I've uploaded this to sendspace and you can Download it here As to other text adventure games, well check the link on the page for winfrotz to find a list of games in zcode. I'd particularly recommend dreamhold, pytho's mask and the  games by paul obrian as a start, but different people have different likes and dislikes and it all depends what you fancy. I heard about legend of the criptids but the review on applevis didn't really sound that playable, or rather playable perhaps but not accessible in the same way haypy monster is playable but not exactly accessible.if this one does have story that might be worth a bit more, but auto combat is a little dull. Regarding thebrouser game engines, well blades of eternity and others you mention are based on an older set of torn city code which was released as open source, though not the version of torn city which is currently being played. Some of these (like the pirate one who's name I forget), are actually pretty bad access wise, though since they can involve very little in terms of text it doesn't matter too much. With Logd, while I agree there are innumerable logd varients that don't pretend to be anything else, hogwarts live,  dragons of myth etc, in some cases the code has been modified so much it's it's own game, that is t
rue of improbable island although sadly improbable island doesn't go nearly far enough in terms of story or quests for my liking, although it has far more text and description than standard logd and one or two interesting combat mechanics. then there are the KoL varients, namely metroplexity and twilight heroes. Then there is also the eternal duel codebase, which is used for a number of games, eternal duel, genleo, goblins online etc, which are all pretty uninteresting and more social than serious rpgs. There is even a game based on the alien adoption agency codebase in the form of loryen, though loryen does at least have a little more too it and quite a bit of modification in terms of activities, professions etc. Getting back to the subject at hand, if this game has story that might be a bit better, since as solara proves even auto combat and resource management affairs can be interesting with story, for all that I'd love to see something better

Re: how to buy a item in puppetnightmares

Hi. I would suggest clicking on an item to view it's stats, then getting used to how the game displays those, then  select a puppet to compare it's stats, for instance click on a bow, then select your bow wielding puppet. Once you get this the equip screen becomes quite logical. Like a  lot in puppet nightmares, it is quite logical once you get the hang but it takes  a little getting used to.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142770#p142770

Re: Laser Breakout 1.2 has been released!

It's the second option from the bottom. If you go to the bottom of the menu and hit up 1, you're on option. The language setting is down two in the menu, and english is the second choice. So to change to english, first make sure you've gotten to the menu. The first time you run the game it will run an update process and you'll have to enter through some dialogues. Then:Down arrow 3 times. 4 times if you've already got an options.dat file. Press enter.Down arrow twice. Press enter.Down arrow once and press enter. The game should now be in english. The translation is done very well, though the game doesn't work with jaws because it doesn't bypass jaws control of the keyboard. I recommend either NVDA or Sapi.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142769#p142769

Re: latest facebook mobile layout, thoughts?

The best solution I have for that random topic is to use Firefox with the main site. When you say something like, I am at @x's house. press down arrow and choose the friend's name you want to add, and then press enter. At this time you should be able to mention. This is different than tagging, which you can do on the mobile site with the more options link.Hope this helps.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142768#p142768

There's no way to cancel early that I know, once you've paid for it you get it, however if you don't renew it it'll cancel itself.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142766#p142766

Re: Swamp, zombie fps by Aprone

As the server message says when you log in, sniper missions are still broken, and anyone who uses old sounds is encouraged to upgrade their sounds to the newest. You can then copy old sounds back in if you need to. As to the skill loss bug, I get that too, but logging out (closing the game) then re-launching it once or twice seems to work, no need to go to other maps.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142767#p142767

Re: Credit-card reading app for the Iphone?

Hello, I am not sure if there are any of such applets that allow you to scan your credit card with your iDevice. What are you trying to do, read the information off the card? if so, OCR would not work with the raised print. If you are trying to make purchases with your phone and you could have the device scan your credit card, I heard that such things were being worked on at most physical locations.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142765#p142765

Have you considered using Model Talker? It uses voice concatenation (string of your own recorded sounds) instead of formant model vocal tract synthesis.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=142764#p142764

There seems to be some drop down menu thing to sort newsfeeds, but unfortunately no status filter. This was mainly how I browsed facebook. I'm getting tired of reading about how that guy commented on some weird page's status, or how that girl shared/liked some girly page's photo... You should join the LGBTQIA community at the following URL: ACB's affiliates.I guess now's the time to bring twitter more into my life. From what I gather, Facebook has come to realize how this affects its users. And if you are not satisfied there is a survey that you can always take.
