Well garret,  I'd say it's not really just "Around here" you should watch what to say,  although as you said we do try to moderate the forum properly. However it can be just as true in real life. I once knew someone for six months, went to lectures with him, got together to work on university logic exercises with him, was  invighted to mutual friends' parties and only realized he was gay when I met his boyfriend.That taught me a valuable lesson, not all gay people are  tough women in leather or men mincing around in pink spangly tops, indeed very few are, which is  exactly why you should always be conscious of your language.As to my little pony,  as far as I  know the series that is praised by adults is specifically the "Friendship is magic"  incarnation.  The arguement I believe is that the characterization, stories and over all standard of  writing is good enough to appeal t
 o anyone on the level of a good story irrispective of either subject matter or what group of people it was intended for. I do see this  as possible, indeed I recently picked up from Amazon the entire Avatar the last air bender cartoon series and the first series of it's sequel Avatar the legend of Kora. This was an animated series  originally intended for kids, but featuring very cool martial arts with magic, a distinct eastern inspired world (some people refer to it as American anime), and above all some wonderful characters and plot.Heck, I still know people who refer to Harry  potter as "that kids series" and do not  believe adults could enjoy it. So, I could imagine My Little pony friendship is magic to have something to recommend it to  adults, and don't want to be too quick with my judgement until I've seen the thing. Heck there are even some Freidnship is magic fans on this forum see This topic for details.However, it might be that you cannot get over the intended audience, or that you just have made up your mind based on simply the fact the series has  ponies as principle characters,  flashy magic and the like.I don't personally  think this is a good way to judge how good something is without seeing it, particularly something that has been recommended by people who have what I considder to be  worthwhile opinions which is why as I said for me the    jury is still out on Friendship is magic until I've got around to watching at least some of it.Heck, while super heroes aren't my favourite genre, I will take recommendations of things in that area myself and have occasionally had pleasant surprises such as the Anime tiger and bunny, the the Kickass films or Brandon Sanderson's book steelheart, albeit on other ocasions I've been disappointed w
 ith a recommendation (this recently happened with some books by a chap called Peter clines about super heroes in the zombocalypse).Anyway to finally  reign in this topic a bit (ha ha), and get things back on track, I  did recently come across a large number of audio described films, some of which I've picked up. I'm not generally much of a fan of just linstening to audio descriptions on their own without the visuals, because I like having the chance to get what my vision can from them, for all I do  appreciate audio description when it's on the same track. I have however recently tried out some audio descriptions for films I know well and have only watched without description. I particularly enjoy this for action films like The   Matrix, sinse visually following fast action sequences is often problematic, for all I'd rather see the film visually first than just listen to the description as I said.Regarding Star
 trek,  I don't know  any actual audio described startrek, but there are very good synopses including descriptions on Memory alpha the startrek wiki I've recently been watching through next gen again, and then stopping off after each episode to read the memory alpha articles (though i admit this is more for the purpose of finding out fun facts about writing, production etc than for the synopses good though they are, sinse as it has a reduced amount of action which is usually explained on screen i've never found Startrek series as hard to follow visually as say a big action hollywood blockbuster.I'm actually more interested in audio described films than tv series for this reason.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=171046#p171046

No one knows when the game comes. they haven't started the second beta testing round yet, because they are still fixing bugs in the first beta version. Last friday, the small team got even smaller, because the game designer has finnished his work, which I think means all the design of the game is finnished. So now they just need to fix lots of bugs, maybe add more features and go through lots of beta testing.I'm sure the people behind the project will announce for sure when the game is out. First let me say that I am not asking for the game to be made free as I will be purchasing an account at some point, I am not asking for the skill points system to be free, or any of the online features to be made free.  I am just asking how I can play the offline mode.  everytime I click on the custom maps option or on the campains option, I get the error sayingyou seem to have an invalid user name.  I have tried downloading the game at least 3 or 4 times, and rerunning it every time I downloaded it.  I  have also tried entering in a fake password and exiting and re-entering the game.  also I have tried putting in another name, and I get the same results.What's this campains folder I keep hearing about, and if possible can I get an invite to it?  That would be awesome, and make the offline mode more fun and interesting.  Thank you all for your time.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=171048#p171048

The whole extra points thing is so that, for example, if a person uses a given weapon a lot, they would naturally get better with that weapon over time, and this would simulate that by slowly adding points to the relevant skill, rewarding extended use of that weapon.I don't think any flagging is necessary. I'm still not sure on this whole idea of extra points. If players want to be able to use more weapons, it seems like unlimited resets are the simplest way to go. No secondary points you can't move around, no using each weapon until you max it out (which we all know most players will do anyway, removing part of the purpose of skill points).I just want to say… I have an account! I finally got one today, so I'll see you all on the server! My primary character, Sam, is going to be renamed to Cosby (after my guide dog). This way people won't confuse myself and Street Sam. a little tweek and clarification on   on the flag idea, of   Quasar, that he had posted,   lets say the skill system is as it is now, right, as it is u must spesialise in 1 weapon only. why not make it so that every thing stays the same except for the fact that u do flag the weapons u do want to use. this meens that the more u use them. they wil go up in skill points automatically. now this has already been suggested, but the difference to my suggestion is, no? and i repeat. no complications. this meens no time limmits. no need to worrie, they wil go away. if, say for example, u put 200 in vulkin but would love to use the m 240 for example. and u flag it, then u begin to use it?  it wil slowly auto build its skill points, wich is not part of your skill points u hav abailable, so just for using it, it wil begin to have its own points. and u do not, lose any of it. no time limmit, if u stop using it? its points stays t
 here. if u continue to use it later, its points goes up. this is a very very nice way to brake out of this groove we have that forces us to specialise in weapons. why? because u can stil put skills in your main weapons. but this. auto gain with usage, as the poster suggested is a very very neet idea that wil boost your weapons that u do use and want to auto train over time. no complications. no time  limmits. just plane easy to understand. it just works. and hay, maybe in time it might get even better then your main assigned weapons that u did put skill points in to. that is the fun of using it. in this way u can have multaple weapons. trained. and then. only then can i see the need for resets being limmited to 1, every 24 hours. plus the one that u do get when u level. so this was just basically a way for me to clear up the hole confusion about what the originalposter suggested and to put things in to perspectave. aprone this seems hugely atracktave and i wonder if its d
 ooable. i do have one suggestion though when it comes to armor. it is true that onl lower levels they are dufering until they are able to put 140 points in it or more. is it not possible that the armer system can work on the same way when it comes to auto usage? for example. u need not do any thing flag any thing it just happens. lets say u pick up a ball cap. automatically the lwer street smarts skill. is auto increased with usage of that armor. so the longer u ware it, the more points goes in to that catagory. if u pick up say a leather jacket? the same thing applies. now points goes in to the graffeti skill.  if u pick up 1 bike helmit? automatically the points in the 1 man army skill set begins to go up and up. but with 1 singel snag to all this. the reason we want this is to help the lower levels out. so that. this auto usage can only go up to a maximum of 100 points.  so for example by the time they hit level 50 or so. it wil be maxed to 100 points

Hi.Well, if you have a mac, you have the voices.Just go to VOiceOver utility/speech/voices and in the voice list choose customize. You will have a huge table with all the voices. Just check the checkboxes for the voices you want to download or stop interacting with the voices table and use VO right arrow to move to the play button to hear what they sound like.Speaking of Vocalizer, do you ever think Apple will make the new siri voices available for VOiceOver on iOS or as voices that can be downloaded on the mac?editSo, I'm playing with Vocalizer 5.5 since I got a license for it when I purchased Vocalizer Expressive from AT Guys.Interestingly, there doesn't appear to be a compact variant for Irish English, which explains why I couldn't get compact Irish english with iOS 6.I'm just curious, what is then history behind these voices? Scoreboards are intriguing, but would have to be thought out with regard to level. As you said, if someone fires ten hitting shots, they have 100% accuracy. If there is a board for lowest character deaths, it will be full of low-level players. Still, I like the idea overall, and it would be almost entirely server-side, with a new slash command to list the scores. Well, accuracy could just take both the numerator and denominator into account, instead of just the end result.That, and it's possible to get up to 500% accuracy, if all you've done is fire a shotgun on scatter at point blank into a Tyrant's face. Scatter shot is pretty much an accuracy boost because of the multiple hits per shot and the lack of a need for actual accuracy.I'd be more interested in people who get high accuracy with the melee weapons. If you're sighted, it's trivial to know when the zombies are in range, but otherwise there seems to be a lot of swinging and hoping.(Which reminds me... Honestly, I would rather have the skills work the way Quasar suggested period, with out all the assignable points per level. I would feel like I could make better progress in swamp that way, since I frankly don't have as much time for playing and leveling as I would like.Or maybe get a point to spend on armor each level, and have weapons skills go up with use.If that gets voted down, then I throw in with the one reset per day crowd, since I'm not a fan of point resetting personally.And of course I will vote for more weapons and goodies...For trading, I suggest sticking with the ability to just send people things, like, /give axe to FlyByChow, with an accept command required to prevent spamming. I frankly think a lot of the other ideas are cool but needlessly complex fo rSwamp. I also don't think giving reputation should be an option. That seems like it would open the door for people to hand their low level friend a million rep right off the

Also, I'm a fan of gifting being unlocked at level 65 or whatever it was that is required to get onto map 5.And last, a quick feature request...I think it would be cool, if possible to have Swamp scoreboards that show a up to date listing of the top 10 players in a number of catagories. For example, top 10 accuracy, top 10 total kills, top 10 crates found, top 10 levels, etc. I think this would be a neat thing for people to strive for and compete over, though maybe you shouldn't be able to be listed until level 25 or something, so someone doesn't make a low level character and fire a handful of shots so they can hog the number 1 spot on accuracy... Glad you like, I  literally laughed out loud when i read that one too.Funnily enough I actually really  enjoyed Evil of the Daleks, I borrowed an audio described tape version from a friend of mine when i was 12, (one of those sort of semi radio play things the bbc  made to replace missing stories), , and thought the story was great, what with cheery humanized Daleks playing trains, the Second doctor tootling away on his recorder and prancing around like a loon but somewhow working everything out, and the Emperor Dalek who sounded awsome (tom baker's naration was good too). Obviously I never realized the story had plot holes larger than the Eye of Harmony . I still rather enjoy it though, which says  something for the generalized acting and  fun of the story,  then again compared to what Steven Mophat's been up to it l

You're still missing the point. This is just an addition to resets and what not. It doesn't have to do anything with resets, it basicly gives you free skil points in any skill or skills of your choice, however, you have to earn them by using the skill in question. Assault, yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I wouldn't say it doesn't fit, but I most definitely liked the older track better.Slight spoilers:I do, however, really enjoy the new track they use after you defeat Gerasu. That is a great track for that scene. I wish they hadn't used it at the end of the game though and had left that one with the old track, it seemed to fit the end of a world better. mehgcap, the current system of skill placement will stay the same, these temp flags willl be a new addition however, and will allow you to gain skill in one or more skills as long as you use them provided that they do not already have skill points placed in them.Basicly this new system will allow you to place skill points in things like armor speed sneaking allusive, and allow you to use multiple weapons rather than just a select one. You could choose one day to use a browning, or the next day to use the glock, or maybe the machete and scar H or something, the point is, that you'll bee able to build your abilities within a day or so without having to reset your skill points. You'd just have to spend some time using the weapon of your choice. If you want to be able to use a weapon reliably then you can still place points in it, but you won't be able to gain any temp points in it unless you reset and remove the points from that skill and then flag it for temp po
 ints.I also came up with another idea for placing a cap on how many flags you can use, have it be based on your ranks, so without any title you only get one temp flag, for private you get 2, specialist 3, and so on so forth. I like this gradually increasing of skills over time. Here's what I prepose though.We have skills that we can flag to have temp points. These skills will not have the ability to have points placed in them. However, they will increase with efectiveness as you use them. You can flag as many skills as you want (more on this later), , however with every flagged skill the speed at which these skills will lose their points is increased. So let's say bob flags his axe for temp points. He manages to get his axe skill all the way up to 50. Now he finds a short bow, w, so he stops using his axe for an hour or so, and his temp points in the axe drop from 50 to 40. Now he decides that he wants to go back to his axe, and he gets his points back up to 50, and decides he's going to flag both his axe and his short bow to use temp points. Now, he gets his short bow up to 50, and maintains his axe's temp points at 50. Now both the axe and the short bow are at 50 temp p
 oints. He now finds a long bow, and after an hour of nonuse his shortbow and axe will have dropped to 35. In this example bob's points decrease as he neglects his skill, and this decrease is increased with the more skills that he flags. Now you may be saying, what's stopping a level 1 from flagging every skill they have with this. Here's a solution for that, have a temp flag be provided for every 10, or maybe 25 levels. While we're on the topic of things we'd like to see, I think it would be cool to have some skills, especially the weapon ones, increase gradually with the use of that weapon. Here is what I would suggest, assuming 0 points in the skill to start with:150 hits with a given weapon class, +1 point in that class's mastery skill.100 hits with a specific weapon: +1 to that specific weapon's skill.100 heals with a medkit: +1 to recovery skill.80 reloads of the medkit: +1 to big kit skill.For the use of a weapon to count, I would propose that it must land a hit on a zombie. This would prevent people from blasting hundreds of rounds into the air. It will take more uses of the weapon to increase the skill for each successive point. I'd recommend around 20-25% per point.You could also apply this to other skills:1000 steps: +1 to speed2000 steps: +1 to sneak30 quests completed: +1 to scavenger.This would let p

Under every member's post are links to send a private message and an E-mail, as well as a link to report the post to the moderators. When you hit those you'll be taken to a page with a form to enter the subject and text of your  message. If you recieve an E-mail you will be mailed a notification from the forum saying as much and giving the person's message (you wo't see their  E-mail address but you can reply directly and they'll be sent your reply). If you want to check your  private messages, use the "Private messages" link at the top of the page, though sinse unfortunately we don't have a way for members to get notifications when they have new private messages at the moment, it's better to send E-mails from the forum sinse you can guarantee peop

I want to stream on twitch, need your advice and feedback :/

Long story short, I want to start streaming on Twitch. I need help with getting started and improving my stream.I'm looking to get feedback on stream quality, entertainment value and what do you think of me as a person.On first impression:1. Yes, you can load custom events in campaigns.I like the idea of more polls to get a definite, collated sense of where the community is on different issues. My top three weapons are Scorpion, land mines, and throwing knives. I know mines weren't in the unused sounds, but I'd love to have them all the same. They would affect zombies and players alike, but they would make a noise so players would know to avoid them. Examples are route 2/3/4, viridian forest, and pewter city. (Its still quite OK for viridian forest, but i hope you can add coordinates for places like mount moon's cave and such? It'll be nice if we can know where is the ladder and something like that.)For route 2, can you add the coordinates for the exit to viridian city and path to viridian forest? For route 3, maybe you can put the coordinates for the exit to pewter city and to route 4. As for Pewter city, could you add the coordinates for the gym, museum, pokemon centre and pokemart?
