@post 11 I wouldn't exactly say that the original series isn't ment for today's audianse. In fact, I got into the original series around 4 or so months ago after I decided it was finily time to give star trek a full on look. I personally prefer the original series sounds to the next generation ones. Call me frank but i've clapt out my ears so offen on the stupid space mud soundpacks, all using the next generation's sound designs I could actually  take the basic elements of the various backgrounds and turn them into their tng counterparts. If we're talking actual planet background noises/phasers and such, I agree the sound quality of the original series was tarible, but the enterprise bridge background, even the background hum of the corridors in my opinion are softer, easier to listen too, and I can actually bare them unlike tng's sound design. @dark i'm afrade its a little too late, i've already watched the first episode of voyage
 r. Considering i'm never willing enough to sit down and watch a tv program on an actual tv for 5 minutes these days, I don't think i'll ever get to the next episodes. I did however skip ahead and I rather liked the episode end game, even if the borg were destroyed in a crummy way.

Orin, the ending doesn't change. The story only progresses one way no matter how you swing it. the QTE's only change the result of any fight that happens during the cutscene. In the example shown on the stream, Johnny Kage is double teamed by Scorpion and Sub0. If you win all the qte's, he comes out on top before you have to actually fight them in the game. If you lose, he gets his rear handed to him, but the dialog doesn't change, and you still have to fight them. So there are no multiple endings, according to the stream I watched.

Hello,Starfight was an old game, a bit like battleship, developed by someone called Robbert Betts, someone behind the website called games for the blind, and they were all games like black jack and such. When I say old, it's very, very old. Going way back to the 90's and early 2000's. Science Invasion was a project that Philip Bennefall was working on at one time, for pb-games. It seems to be some sort of side scroller, there was a beta version with two levels that was going around at one stage, after the project got abandoned.

Its easy to get that when learning programming. After all, programming isn't an easy task. I'm not sure I myself am quite past that. While I have gotten fustrated with dmnb quite a few times, I know that we are still in early phases of development, and this is how life of an mmo begins. Pure basic may not be the best, but I picked it and it sirtenly has done well for the load its handling with spaceships and such. I never give up on dmnb, or any of the projects released if I can help it, because I know I eventually get the bugs bothering us sorted, it just sometimes takes me a while. I gave up on snow race because the code was getting more and more difficult to maintain, pluss with the offline structure being completed, their was very little to add in. Project alpha hasn't quite died, i'm just not sure where to take it now that the storyline is finished.

Hello,I'm so glad I preordered the PC version and not the ps3 version now, I definitely went with my gut for that decision and I think it has paid off. I don't have a next-gen console yet so this is the way to go for now, but we'll see what happens on the next-gen front, especially with Sony starting with a tts, and hopefully Microsoft following suit, that's actually the thing I'd like, because Microsoft stand a chance at porting narrator to the xbox one. After the way Sony Europe have been treating their customers, delaying dlc for months and months at a time, well I'm now annoyed at them. Especially where music games are concerned. There' some new rock band sogns coming out and they've been coming out for a while now, but guess what? Sony Europe are not releasing them. Harmonix sent the music to Sony and are, basically, being refused, and it's making harmonix annoyed as well as the customer. It's being disrespectful not onl
 y to the customers, but to the developers who are putting time and effort into releasing content, and not getting it approved.

Steve, that is a fairly common mistake made by new programmers. The problem is they are often so eager and excited to be writing programs that they don't stop long enough to learn the essentials such as terminology, core programming skills, and how to think like a programmer. All they can see at that moment is the end goal of creating this new game or whatever it happens to be and give up in absolute frustration when things don't work out as intended. As much as I hate to admit it I've done it and so have a lot of others, and it is difficult to pass on that experience to new programmers because they are often just too young and eager to listen to more seasoned programmers about what they should focus on at first.

What are you guys going to do about the story Quicktime events? I'm not sure what I'm going to do, maybe I'll just try my best, get that ending and maybe then go back with a sighted person and try to get all the QTEs so that I can get a better ending. I guess there are multiple endings to story. Which one you get is determined by how well you do in the quicktime events.

Hello,I had trouble getting my new pack to work on other people's computers, but it's fixed now, I had to use the pack's old name. Also, I don't know if the game supports capital letters or not. The pack is still in playtesting and design, as there's a lot of music to work with for this one and it's deciding what would work in the context of Beatstar. I have sent off Into The Woods to oriol with an idea to go with it, but I don't know if that idea will make it into the game. However, the next pack I'm working on is just a regular pack but as I've said, a lot of music to choose from so it's taking longer than expected.Also, regarding the Disney pack, I agree, the dubbing idea is great, but the action sounds could seriously use some work. They sound... all chopped and sometimes quiet. Unfortunately though, I don't know what sort of sounds I'd use for this sort of pack.

@locutus, it's interesting you say original series startrek is "not meant for todays audience" this is actually something I was discussing with a friend of mine the other day, sinse one major difference between sixties doctor who and sixties startrek is that though the Doctor who stories had their moments of "Oh this is to dangerous for the women" or Susan the supposedly unearthly timelord continually spraining her ancle because they were essentially written almost more as long, at least three hour telivized stage plays than specifically directed peaces with highly experienced theatrical actors,  most of them translate fairly well sinse what is center stage is the ideas and the acting. With Original Startrek it often seemed that sinse they were written as entertainment and hope for the future with rodenberry's conflictless utopean society, with lots of action and character architypes the audience would mostly recognize, eg, the bould drama
 tic captain, the crusty old ship's doctor, the pragmatic (and something of a walking cultural sterriotype), scottish engineer, they were written to appeal on a slightly lighter level which doesn't as often stand up today. then again of course there are exceptions, city on the edge of forever for example. As regards the Blisch novelizations Wanderer, I'll agree they aren't hugely descriptive although they have their passages usually in an ironic way with Blisch emphasizing the beautiful aliens Kirk meets or the strange spacial anomalies etc after a quick scene setting. In fairness to Blisch bare in mind that at the time he wrote most of the novelizations he was! just working from the scripts, sinse they didn't show the episodes in the Uk (or more specifically ireland), at the same time as the Us (and that was back in the days when there was sometimes yers of waiting time),  he got the scripts posted to him by air mail along with photos and 
 comments from the directors which could be why he doesn't go deeply into characterization or the like, though I personally feel he got the tone of original startrek very well . It's been a long time sinse I read the Peter David novels, but I actually think I enjoyed Q squared just because! of the time line mangling, especially with how dark some of the alternatives got, though I can't speak of his other work. @Locutus, I'd be interested in your comment that "voyager is just fun" sinse as I said above that was the series I looked forward to most, but which disappointed most. Characters who never really progress (accept for Parris and Bilana which doesn't really progress much until season 7 anyway after they get together), an endless parade of anomalies and throw away planets, nobody with a really strong personality and far too much
  shenanigans with 7 of 9. I definitely saw things picking up with the plot surrouning the Kazon alliance, the Trabe and Sesca's betrayal but that all just went down like a damp squib and didn't particularly continue, similarly the conflict with the bork and species 8471 was presented really well in Scorpian and then just fizzled out with the Borg proving very wussy, quite surprising after their unstoppable and awsome presence in Tng, and the fact that 7's blasted nanoproes were actually used to solve a lot of plots. I also never really found the characters did much, not with the setup of a federation and maquis takeover, Chacotay who was basically religated to just pointing out the odd American Indian reference occasionally rather than actually disagreeing with the school mistress from Hell aka Janeway, harry "I am the eternal schoolboy" kim, and Parris who, after showing his initial edgy character proovednot to do much. Only Belana and 
 the Doctor really managed to do interesting things character wise or have personalities that sustained and grew in the series, and unfortunately even they were taken in screwy directions,  the Doctor and 7 romance was never explored, and Bilana should really have had her baby far earlier, and the less said about naomi wildman the better. Actually Jo Ford's above blog which I gave the link to has some very good reviews of voyager and it's problems, and while I don't fully agree with him i do think he raised some good issues. It's odd, I still love the premise of voyager, and I remember how pleased I was when I first saw the uk premiare of Caretaker, but now I just look at the series as a big bag of wasted potential and throw away stories, the hole thing felt like it was trying to be Tng but with far weaker characters and little to no recurring plot whatsoever.

Hi guysI'm writing this post with my testing platform which is running windows 10.So, apparently there is a huge mess in windows 10 regarding alt tab.The problem is, that alt-tabbing will no longer  focus onto windows prompts, errors, and confirmations. those little windows that pop up as an error, or confirmation.This is very disheartening to me, I've filed this bug in the feedback ap two months ago, but still nothing.Please, If you run windows 10 make sure to put this in the feedback app, in accessibility section.Windows 10 is approaching it's development deadline, and I feel that accessibility-wise It has just broken things instead of improvements.narrator is good though, It's sluggish and slowI won't use it cause it's slow.CheersHadi, but it's good.

As far as oliver goes, they have already done this on the S5. The samsung TTS on that phone, when you go to the install voice data option, lets you choose between a male or female voice for some languages. It also supports way more languages, might be the whole Svox catalog.As for me, I'm incredibly excited about Galaxy Talkback, but today I'm planning to sign a contract and get the S5. I had to give my trusty S4 to my dad and I'm currently stuck with a half broken Nokia E72, and I found a very nice deal for the S5. I also feel that Samsung made a lot of compromises for that slim 6.8mm design on the S6 that concern me somewhat, non-removable battery and micro SD aside the fact that it only has a 2550MAH battery concerns me, especially with a 576 PPI screen. There's only so much you can optimize in software

@mirage, Clok is very reasonable on the rp front, generally as long as you speak as your character you can get on fine, I had no problems, actually I need to log in again and continue practicing my archery. I think it's because the Clok community is one of the most streight forward I've seen.There is certainly lots of  space for solo exploration, just make sure you don't say something like "this is a great mud" on an in character channel, and that if you say thank someone for a resurrection you say "thank you" to their character and not "hay  the death mechanic in this mud is annoying!" .  If you need to o ooc discussion, do it over tells, and otherwise just make sure your character acts reasonably towards other characters in the mud not like your own personal disposable mud voice.I once for instance got
  a resurrection from someone,  said thanks in character but then sent a private tell explaining that I had to log off and run and catch a train so didn't have time for in character politeness, and they were fine with that.

What annoys me mostly, is that samsung TTS engine in British use Victoria, while they could use Oliver, which is a great voice.Anyway, updating these voices wouldn't be a bad idea. Hope they have already done it in Samsung galaxy s6, but it will be too expensive as it will make me not complain about iPhone's price anymore. It's 700 dollars or more and I need to pay an arm and a leg to buy it. But over all, reading its specification, it really sounds a great phone, doesn't it?

Hi, I have a suggestion for the game which concerns refueling.Stations or planets should offer a fuel transporter which costs you a random amount of money. This transport than can refuel your starship in space.I had the problem that I was cracking some planet yesturday and than, after I landed the server crashed.Today, when I logged in, my starship had no fuel in its tanks and my money was gone too.Greetings Moritz.

Hi, if your character was one of the ones who had neggitive health, your character will have died do to punching and death being implemented fully.

To put simpply, no. It is a prequel to death match project alpha, but a lot more than that. It is a roleplaying science fiction online space game, its rather difficult to explain the concept, but you can pilot starships, explore planets, a hole lot of things actually. And for project alpha. Project alpha will not work with jaws.

Hi. I don't know if this has to be in an other thread but the samsung pack... Well, i made it to level like 22 or something but it's really hard.The sounds have pauses at the start, they are way too long; and the music doesn't loop right. And the  sounds are really fast and sometimes drowned out by the music. Sorry for critisizing, but that's how i feal about that pack. I like the menu music though. If anyone wants to know, it's the default ringtone in the samsung galaxi S-IV.

Hi.If someone updates a soundpack, it will appear in the downloads. Defender:1.  After the first track, there is no time to learn the beat of the song before the first action starts like there usually is, because the first action starts when the song does, instead of waiting one measure, this makes it very hard to deal with, especially on fast beats, as you can lose before even knowing what hit you.I'll look into itThe other thing about loops not being synchronized is because of the music I believe. Sometimes it will be a little off because some older packs or even new ones dont have exact bpms, sadly i dont thinkw e can fix it unless we do all the bpms againthe pre sound I should fix.Rhythm challenge mode... I don't know if it's worth itm it could be.What key would you like the freeze sound to play on learn actions?Greetings

Hi burakYou need the folder to have the same name as the pack when the game creates the pack file! It's in the readme manso if you want your pack to have the english name, rename the folder first and let the game create the english pack file.thanks
