Hopefully be the last question before I head out for my trip! MK x is on its way to being done downloading, and I'm excited to play. However, my pc can just barely handle it... starting the game and letting it run makes my computer fans go nuts. To all those who have it installed, where are the options to configure it and bring the, say, graphic and resolution settings down a bit so my computer hopefully doesn't explode in my face while I'm playing? lol

New characters, some new mechanics, the fact that there is now a variation system for different characters, and faktions which aren't actually accessible and don't have any real impact. No more challenge tower, and no accessibility mode. Stage interactibles are also present in this game, but less than in Injustice. That's more or less it. The new characters are probably the biggest thing besides the story though.

Some dungeon navigation updates. Navigation is one thing I'm greatly looking forward to improving over Entombed 1. So I've just written a dungeon generator and it works like this:The main thoroughfare is circular. You can go left or right and you will reach the stairs to the next floor and loop around. These exits may be guarded.Along the main route are doors to the north and south. These lead to discrete passages that might be self contained or they might meet up with other doors' passages. You can quickly return to the main route without getting lost and each door leads to at least one room, maybe more. Rooms are where interesting things happen. Battles, treasure, and so on.So imagine a long hall with curious doors on either side. This is the Entombed 2 dungeon layout. If you're confident, you can head right for the exit, provided you can defeat the guards (if there are any.) Or you can spend some time exploring the side passages for batt
 les and treasure. Returning to the main path is easy and there will be a unique footstep sound so you know you're on the right track.I wrote the generator in a Lua script, so aspiring players in the future can change it or write their own if they want. You could make it more like Entombed 1 or have it make giant sprawling caverns.

Hi all,I don't know if anyone still plays this thing anymore, I highly doubt it! But anyway, I've been trying to get it to work for the arcade soon, but I'm getting various errors.What I mean is the following. When I first installed clasic troopanum, AVG told me that the EXE of the game itself (not the installer), was a threat. I told AVG to ignore it, and continued on with my happy life.  When going to play the game, however, I get the same alert from AVG, as well as the following:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Classic Troopanum\troop.exe Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file.  You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."I've tried running in administrator, with the same result. I also installed the 1.6 patch thinggy, which seemed to fix nothing, at least in regards to this problem.Any ideas? Anything would be appreciated!

People in STW killed you because:1. You have a good stuff like  weapon and ect.2. Because if they killed you,and if you die, they leave your corpse there, and you see useful stuff is gone.like Rockgun, Revolvers, maps, bullets, and lots of item , that you normally can't get in the game, only in events. And they wanted those thing, So they uses there advantage to killed you guy, like Vlad, maks or known as Makxim.Because those people got Banned from Death Match a new beginning (DMNB), or get sent to jail, And they uses Survive The Wiled (STW) to avenge whatever people is in there.

I get that noise to many times. Infact, I just stoped playing today because I got tired of people think it was ultrapower, doing anything they could to make sure I was dead and they could have all my items. Well today someone watched me so they could get my coordinates and kill me. So I figured, this has got to stop. Slightly off topic, and I know I'm flooding this topic a little... but can someone give me a quick refresher on how to use steam accessibly? Does the steam guide in the articles room still apply? And one more then... I am currently trying to add a credit card to my steam account. Yet I can't seem to enter my security code... for visa cards it only gives me an edit field for the card number and expiration, yet it says all three are required. Garrett actually reminded me of something that bears consideration. In the old video game The Immortal, widely regarded as one of the most difficult games ever since most of the enemies and traps could kill you instantly if they touched you, each level had a straw bed that you could rest in to restore yourself to max. The catch was that you could use it only once. Mabe asimilar mechanic couldbe used in Entombed, where you might have a few safe resting spots in each level where you would never be attacked while you were resting, the catch being that you might only be able to use each a few times. try this: go to the folder options dialog. Then go to the view tab and look for the tree view and check those options. Next, go to the nvda menu, right arrow on preferences, go to object presentation and check the report tooltips box. If it's not under object presentation, look for it under document formatting. The older admins have now been purged, and the new admin listing will now begin. Here's how this all works.*Builders: They can only build on the map.*Administrators: They can kick people, and build, get some other info. They can however, not ban or unban people.*Chief Moderators: They can do basically everything that the older admins could do, but you won't see too many of those.Someone with a rank will be shown as that rank when checking online players, for example, Chief Moderator mason (masonasons) level 440, builder random_player level 95. The nicknames are protected so these rank names cannot be used as nicknames, so no confusion with that. Hope this helps lots.

Ok so I've gone back and forth between the mush soundpack, and the vip mud soundpack, I had to uninstall mush-z and reinstall it that's where trouble began Anyways, I've decided to leave mush-z alone and keep it spacifically for Alter Aeon. However I'm noticing that with the Vip soundpack, certain sounds won't play. For example, the sounds for logging and the saw mill sounds won't play. Everything else does. I've gone into the sounds folder and played the sounds by themselves so I know they work, its just that their not playing in game for some reason.  Any help would be great. Oh BTW feel free to drop me a line in game if you want. The character I've set up for vip, and the one I'm staying with is Rolph. Well that's the characters name anyways.

Hi SneakIf you open "Text to speech" configuration in control panel (how exactly you get there, depends on windows), there should be an "Advanced" button. If you press that one, you will be able to specify the device through wich sapi should speak.

@Garret, It's not so much whether your party rest in beds or just cherry picking from other games when thinking about mechanics as thinking what works. Both Airic and paladin had a large overworld structure with some safe regions you would return to to rest and resupply before heading out into dangerous dungeon areas. Entombed however pretty much is one entire dangerous dungeon area. Lack of beds isn't the issue, after all at a pinch people can sleep anywhere (remember the fellowship having a snooze in the guard room in the middle of Moria in lotr?), it's more how things work related to the rest of the game, sinse in Entombed unlike airic and paladin (and I believe bk although I've not played that game), there is no set of safe areas you return to after completing a dungeon, the entire game is one huge dungeon with only a single town which you have only limited access to (remember how your recall amulet used to have to recharge?). Hence the winnin
 g streak mechanic, though having a few safe camp areas that could restore a little hp as a randomly occurring, discoverable bennifit for exploring side passages might be another nice thing to have, sinse one thing I am always a fan of is to make the explorable environment as full of good things as bad.

Another resting mode could be that of erric the clerric, or paliden, or BK1, you get the point. Of course, there are no beds in a dundgen, however, grass or sand on the dundgen flore could pass as a bed. Ah yes, resting on a pile of trass, that's what people could use as beds! Lol! Nah but really, what do you think about that resting methed. I know that wounds kind of crazy, but I have to admit, so am I. Lol.

Hi.@Dark, I know what modding is I only suggested a mod creator on iOs to get around apple's annoying restrictions.@Dingo, your probably right iOs versions wouldn't be able to be modable easily. But with android you could mod no problem since android has none of apple's restrictions. The only problem with android is you would have to modify the modding system to account for the touch screen. Other than that with those three operating systems after you write up entombed it's smoothe sailing.

A few points here.First, players cannot delete or modify each others' objects or rooms without wizard permissions. Also, to make someone automatically a builder at creation, do ;$player_class = $builderAutomatically giving programmer status is more complicated, since they not only have to be a $prog, but also have their .programmer flag set. There is doubtless code around the net for a verb to automatically give someone a programmer bit. During the time when MOOs were very popular, common practice was to require the player to have set a gender and a description before granting a programmer bit. This was to show that the player had at least a basic understanding of how the MOO works, etc.

Well, glad people have been enjoying it. Looks like I will have to wait until I get home next week to play the game... since the download won't finish on my laptop before I leave. So far the only gripes I have about the game from everything I've heard are still the QTE's changing the scene even if it's only a few animations, sine I want to watch the outcomes without having to go through them on youtube. And region locking the game, especially in this generation, is stupid. Fighting games are the one genre of game that should not be region locked... and the odds of them fixing that and the sound levels are slim to none, since to NRS those aren't big issues that warrant attention. Looking forward to playing though, just bummed out that I have to wait.

Hi matti.Well I get to a sertain point where I am told to stay focused.I hear a monster or at least I hear one in my left speaker.If I move, I die.if I stop I die.if I turn I die.Is this the end of the game or am I being an idiot.My hearing is quite good but the monsters being quiet like that well.its an interesting game.Kinda reminds me of one of the spy thriller novels I read a bit ago.

I happen to agree with the last person who just now wrote in terms of making the map more accessible.   I can't really complete a job persay because of that issue alone but if u take a look at titles such as star traders and age of impire, u can see how they actually got talk back to be more accessible with map and directions persay.   by the way, any info on when u feel and or believe the sequal will be released?  what ever u do, please don't stop support for this title.  its a grate one and when all is hopefully fixed in terms of map eing accessible, I will by the gold version or in exact terms, adds free version.

I can now confirm that, at least on my end, the PC version now has all modes etc unlocked.  Also, contrary to what one guide I read says, you don't have to have completed tutorial to "unlock story mode" - just click it and it'll work.I have completed story and I'll say nothing more about it to avoid spoilers.The PC version has an interesting audio glitch, whereby nvda and such fade in as they're speaking the first words of a sentence or similar.  This is very problematic when you're trying to read a guide for moves etc on the same PC that the game's running on.As for how the game runs, it runs very well on this end.  It's not quite as fluid as the console version, but I'd say it's pretty close.

@hadi.gsf - yeah unity is the go to game engine for beginners because there has been a free version for a while now, and it has extensive tutorials on youtube and an extensive community help site. I chose it because at the time it was the only engine that had a Binaural audio plug in (3Dception) with a free non-commercial version, combined with blender for 3d modelling the entire system for this game (not including my sound stuff) was £75 which was all a unity education license as plug ins are not usable in the free version. Ideally i would have used Unreal Engine 4, i have it and the audio tool are much better and its infinity less reliant on scripting, making it 100x easier for non programmers like me, the problem, no 3d binaural audio support yet. However you can now run 3Dception through Wwise into UE4 but Wwise is expensive and so wasn't viable. Yeah that would be great if more people would see the potential of games like this. There are some big developments in audio game tech going on thanks to VR headsets like occults rift and the new sony one. They are big business and people want 3D audio to go with the experience (thats how 3Dception started) so as these get mainstream releases your going to see game engines and unity start implementing binaural tools and opening up the possibility to game devs. This is great for audio games!Yeah I'm aware that a lot of people here are, and most audio game fans are. This actually doesn't surprise me! audio has been massively neglected in video games for years, although theres a bit of a revolution going on! Lots of sound designers are interested in audio games, the problem has been that without a dedicated engine (like The Nightjar had) its been impossible until very very recently to obtain the tools required to implement 3D audio properly without a huge budget. I know several people doing similar research they just aren't building something. The interest is there from the sound design front! it gives us a lot of freedom, but as an example this short project took 3 months and i had to acquire 3 pieces of software, learn them and gain a good understanding of scripting. Its a leap away from sound design. When we get good audio middleware (audio implementation tools for audio crews) with the 3D capabilities that allow us to design and implement properly, at high quality we will see ALOT more designers using real time 3D audio. So once the tools are there for the VR headsets your going to have a lot more people with the ability to create these audio only games with a high standard of audio! Remember real time 3D audio and binaural replication is still fairly new tech.Hopefully the VR headset will end up exposing more people to audio games and you'll see a popularisation of them with bigger budgets and higher and higher level sound designers coming on board. The requirement for sounds for "positional and game awareness" is actually present in visual games as well, just used slightly differently (Kinaesthesia, Proprioception) and theres lots of well respected research into the ideas around them, and positional sounds of things outside the character have required a much much lower accuracy to be playable, again i believe its the implementation tools that have been the problem, the level of accuracy thats needed is real time 3D binaural sound.The survey is targeting everyone as I'm trying to get everyone to play this game! (hoping it may open more sighted players to audio games as well)I realise some of the questions might be more relevant to sighted and partially sighted players but they are in there for a reason and have come from my research into general Immersion! The questions in there relating to sight and the removal of sight come from the theory that vision is a HUGE barrier to immersion if its not telling your brain the same as the audio is, so if the audio is saying theres a bird singing 10 metres infront of you but sighted players are sitting in a room with a wall right infront of them, this cannot only destroy any attempt at immersion but can also mess with the trickery that is the HRTF's creating the 3D sound and throw the bird 10 metres behind them. And so when evaluating my game it was really important to find out these circumstancesThe questions about gaming background and how much attention is normal payed to the sound in games relate to the concept that players must attempt to become immersed and invest themselves in the world to start the 3 step process that is immersion.If you interested in things like this and the Kinaesthesia, Proprioception stuff i can definitely recommend some stuff you might like to read, or go take a look at my research report!
