I'm sorry Akilor, but Amine exactly gave you a prove in chat log, and kia explained it in a better way in a message isn't enough. Also, you guys right that in fact admins shouldn't insult anyone and it won't matter if their english is bad or not, just, I was talking about persons with bad english cause they actually can't defend them selves when getting that. Of corse it's different with folks who can speak english well, but there is another thing, if someone will try to insult an admin, he or she will get ban imediately, doesn't matter, is it hiddenly or not. I can't say I am holy and never insulted anyone in this game, I did, many times, but if I wasn't right, I was giving my apologise, and as I remember, I never were doing it hiddenly, with a point that if they don't understand it's not counting, and more than, I'm not an admin there. In games where I am there is no such behavior, and if will be... Well we all know wha
 t will happen I guess. I'm not talking about the whole admin's team now, as I said, I like how do some admins in this game acting, but honestly, I'm tired of someone's childish unrespectful behavior. Players, of corse, shouldn't behavioring so as well, for this thing there are the admins. But if the admins, actually, do such things, it's understandable, normal player's actions will be the same. We're not perfect, all, but it doesn't mean we have to do it being worse.

Hello, first, conserning players wich they don't know the lng: we're trying to know wich languige they talk and explane, but sadly some of them don't listen, and as far as I know noone got banned with out a warning. if we ban them directly why warnings exist then, even sometimes we know a player is cheating, but we won't ban til we cutch him doing it.At SLJ I agree with you at somepoint, admins have other player accounts to play with, but I sau some here before complaining why admins are not on the game.Also insolting, talking of my self I never did it, and guess other admins won't do it as well, because they know it's rong.At kianoosh: Can you clearify how am I talking? hope I didn't insolt you eh, though am sure I never did it. you were talking with me fine on the radio just before the day I got my rank on.Wanted just to make things clear; at last we are humens, and everyone can make mistakes.Greetings.

at slj: not chat with normal players? Fine, but than no questions will get answered either. And even if admins had normal player accounts, what difference would that make in terms of chatting etc? Sooner or later people figure out that a certain account is the normal one of an admin, and everything just repeats itself, but then player versus player.

You know what makes things so complicated if people say "admins insulted"? That without any proof it's hard for that certain admin to even defend him or herself in case it's needed, or to admit being rong. It's the same with people who cheat: we can't accuse anyone of cheating, even if we're fairly certain he or she did, without enough proof. So, please, next time, if not here, poast the proof on admintell or something...

I guess it's not right out there and obvious. Though the manual does say you need to use the mananets to capture manamon, and it also goes over the inventory and briefly touches on how to use objects. So, imo it's not really all that difficult to figure out. Even if you ignore the manual and just go through the menus and hit enter on everything, you'd eventually get the idea, or at least I'd think.

FOr blocking advertisements, try ad guard and Focus. There is also Adblock. I have all three installed and active and it is very nice. The only thing that irritates me are the banners that come up telling me to disable my blockers. I don't feel a shred of sympathy for advertisers. As far as I'm aware, the audio system on iOS isn't nearly advanced enough for an audio routing application. If Apple continues to insist that iOS be so locked down, I fear that it will never become a seriously productive and useful operating system. Your best bet is to connect your phone to your computer with a patch cable and record using a dedicated program. If you want to read books using braille, try Kindle or Apple iBooks.

A proposal

Hi. I was thinking, a lot of the posts we see coming across the forum on a day to day basis are questions. My proposal is that if you ask a question, you have an option to mark the thread resolved. This way, either mods would know to close it, or have it be closed automatically. My reason for this proposal is that it would keep things running more smoothly, keeping discussions on topic, and not allowing certain posts to get out of hand. We don't really see a lot of this type of issue, or, well that is an assumption on my part, who knows what the mods see and get rid of before we traverse it.It's just my opinion, but if you create a post asking a question, or stating an issue, then marking it resolved would put an end to the discussion, plus give a quick and easy way for anyone in the future who may have the same problem. The status flag resolved would show next to the post title to let everyone know a solution  has been found.

I'm actually gonna go back and check real quick in the dialogue, but I'm not sure the game actually says what you're supposed to do. You're given mananets, it's true, but you're not told how to use the inventory within the game itself, I don't think. It ought to be at least somewhat intuitive, but it's more intuitive if you've played pokemon, which is this game's kissing cousin, so to speak.

What are your system specs? If you're running 4gb ram or less I absolutely would not recommend it. If you're not running an Intel processor that supports hardware virtualization, then forget it. You won't be able to run it on anything but Intel. Sure, there are *some* workarounds, but those are just not worth the time. Even with the right specs, it isn't a true mac experience. You're gonna need over and above for reasonable performance. An 8gb ram machine may do fine, but anything less and you'll be lucky to get a steady 1second delayed response at the very least. So, while you could certainly test the Macintalk Nvda addon, you will probably get stuttering. Plus, it's not a licensed copy of mac OSX. Not that that would hinder you from running Macintalk for Nvda, but just throwing that out there. You're not gonna get any of Apple's app essentials. Your best bet would honestly be to either buy a mac mini, it doesn't have to be a supe
 r high-end one, or see if anyone else owns a Mac in your house then hook up a Bluetooth speaker to it. True, gotta charge the speaker, but isn't that the same as charging your hardware synth back in the day?

Best way to handle communication between client and server?

Hello, as the subject says, what are the best way to manage communication between client and server for games online?For tornado machine i coded the client to just act as an interpreter, to receive and interpret sounds and send commands. But, probably it was a big misstake cause the game lags too much.I was looking into road to rage source, and it seems that things work different there. Character management, interpretation, is all there. ANd about the server, it seems that are only used to update game statos for the players connected.There's another way to handle this? And about tornado machine's lag, i made it in bgt and everyone says that bgt netplay are slow. Probably this is the reason that the game lag too much?Sorry for my bad english, hope you understud.

Hi all,So, I'm going to be saying a lot in this message, going all over the map, really. I know that Applevis is a great resource for this kind of information, but I find their forums to be seriously cluttered and unintuitive, and their app directory too overwhelming at times to narrow down a specific app. So I'm coming to you guys for help. Sorry for the lengthy and random post.I would like people's thoughts on the following items:1. What app or apps can be used for reading books using a Braille display? I bought Voice Dream Reader, thinking that it would have support for this, but I'm finding that it wasn't really meant for that use case. Whenever I pan the display for a couple of lines within a document, I'm presented with a blank line, then I need to route the cursor back into the app. I'm using a Focus 40 Blue, if that makes a difference, but I'm thinking I should have done more research and that Voice Dream Reader d
 oesn't have Braille display support. Either way, I need a way to read books on my phone, as it's the only way I can do so at this point.2. Has anyone used any of the forks of KeePass for the IPhone? I'm aware that there is no official KeePass app, so I tried a few of its IOS clones, and they didn't impress me. There was one that only allowed me to view my vault once, then expected me to make in-app purchases in order to continue using it. I can't remember its name. there was also Mini KeePass, which wasn't all that accessible. Finally, there was KeePass Touch, which looked relatively good, although ad-supported, until I realized that I couldn't figure out how to copy a password to the clipboard. As someone who uses long, complex passwords, this feature is essential for me. Also, I've tried 1Password, and in fact I still have that installed on my phone. But the free trial on the Windows side of things only allows you to input a certain n
 umber of entries, and I don't feel that I should have to pay for a password manager. That's stupid, considering that you can add as many entries as you want within the IOS app for free. So, does anyone know of any password managers that can interface either with keePass's vault format, or a clone that works reasonably well with Voiceover? I have seen situations like this before and it is equally possible the developers made bad choices during the project and end up with something inaccessible or they tried to make good choices but still ended up with something inaccessible.My assumption is that, when these developers picked a game engine, they had a list of requirements. Those things might have included cost, features, platform support, and language support. I have not worked on game engine accessibility, but I imagine the situation is similar to accessibility as it relates to other frameworks. Available accessibility information on frameworks can be non-existent, poor, contrary, or out of date--even if accessibility is something specifically addressed by the framework. I suspect the Trese brothers also were only looking at a subset of all the
  available game engines because they had requirements for the game engine that would limit their choices. Often with frameworks the only good way to know how accessible it is, is to start developing using that framework.Then there is the Trese brother's past experience. Just because the game engine is OpenSource does not mean that these developers can fix it. One of the major reasons to pick a game engine is to cut down on development time. I think he was referring to the fact that they never respond to emails when you ask for assistance. This is a known issue that has been confirmed by several people I know. It's not very professional.A couple of years ago, I submitted a major bug that made working with the then latest version of QFeed very difficult. The bug did get cleared up, but I got no response from the developer. Some kind of acknowledgment would have been nice.more recently, a friend of mine was having trouble activating his copy of QRead. Since I had purchased it for him as a gift, this actually did concern me. He wrote to them, and it seemed to have been some sort of server issue. Again, it was sorted out in a relatively short time frame, but he had no idea how long he would have had to wait, and only by trying to activate the program a few weeks later did he find out that he was able to use it again.

I like the guide so far. Also, the main game screen does not list all the recent games. I think it lists the 4 or 5 most recent games and then different categories such as video, music, etc. At the far end of that menu, is library which has all of your downloaded and installed games. I am not exactly sure of the layout of the library however, I found it confusing when I tried to figure it out. But I believe that the library is done in categories, such as digital games, but not sure on this. Might be worth looking into as it can provide another way to launch games.

well if the PDF has markup, i.e. has actual text, you can use Adobe Reader and it has a save as other option in the file menu. If the PDF is a scanned image, or like computer generated image of some sort, then the process would have to be to OCR the image, and you would need software like AabYy FineReader or OmniPage or something of that nature which would do the OCR then save to the format of your choice. If OCR fails, then the image most likely has no text on it. For instance, if all you see is discombulated characters alongside symbols like dollar sign, etc. Then the image is just an image and not text.Some PDFs have text where every 3rd or 4th word is run together with 2 or 3 more words without spaces. This is not fixed when you convert, I don't know how to fix these type of documents.

Unfortunately, there is no free dj software that is accessible. In fact, most dj setups require you to pay regardless of accessibility. Your best bet for djing is probably DJay Pro for the Mac or iPad Pro. @fluffy soldier, there never was! an installer for the max pain mod, even back in the day it was distributed as a zip file with what you see now. that is because it is just a mod. All it essentially does is replace all the sounds in the superliam game with different sounds, which creates the same gameplay with utterly different sfx.On the plus side, you really don't need to worry about messing anything up at all since all your doing is moving sound files around, no more difficult than playing with your media collection. Assuming you've already got the original superliam game downloaded and working on your computer, download the max pain mod archive from the audiogames archive site. Now, you'll need 7zip from The 7zip.org site assuming you don't already have it (and if not why not? it's awesome). Once you've got 7zip installed, download the max pain mod archive. now, use the context menu and
  in a 7zip section of it, you'll find an "extract here", option, use that and you'll get a folder called "max pain" containing various subfolders such as music, movies and sounds, and a couple of extra mp3 sound files like intro and logo. If you look in the superliam program folder, you'll notice it has folders and files with the same names, and yes, the contents of the max pain folder have to go in there, so you can either overwrite all the original superliam sounds and music (in whichcase you'll need to download the game again to have original superliam back), or remove the various folders from the superliam program directory and store them somewhere so you can swap them out again next time you want to fight x1 rather than have maximum amounts of pain :d.hth.

I'm afraid I agree with Slj, they really should've checked this sort of thing at the planning stage, particularly since they sold the game and advertised their kickstarter project as being accessible and accepted cash (and from some of us quite a considerable amount of cash), and they certainly have managed accessibility in at least some of their other titles, both star traders elite and apparently age of pirates rpg for Android. Then again I can't fault their behaviour considering what they could! have done is just either continually promis accessibility and fail to deliver, or simply ignore the question generally, after all some developers are rather scummy in behaviour. While it would be nice if they could fix the problems with this cruddy engine, the fact that they've actively returned people's money probably indicates that isn't going to happen, hopefully they will however now be in a better position to create something accessible in
  the future or add better access to their next release. For a start, I'm rather sorry age of pirates on Ios isn't accessible.

So... When an admin is hiddenly insulting players no matter if their english is good or bad, I'm not in a hurry to give the game a new and fresh try. I mean, an admin should not insult people or have anything to do with the players like a normal player do. An admin should just be there to help if needed, and do other admin stuff as well. Dood, you were so close, all you had to do was croutch and walk...I kind of like big boomer as an enemy name, though it's actually a giant statue.They don't have to much health, so kill them with your laser at a distance.The things inside the bariors actually make the same sound as the bariors, so they're kind of hard to hear.Just jump inside the barior and attack as you land.I'm going to start testing the viruses in the ship and see if I can find the one that's so overpowered.Edit: I just tested the entire ship level.No bugs or over-powered viruses.You must have you dif mod active.Try disableing it.You said a virus kills you in 5 hits?I tested all viruses, and none do that.The first is a tad strong, but enemies don't respawn in that level due to the new platforms.even that first one takes something like 25 hits or so to kill you.I'll have a disclaimer skip hotfix

People, what you need to understand is that it's not them at fault here, it's the engine they're using. From what I understand, usually, when you use an engine to create games, you only get a compiled library file, or series of libraries, so they can't modify the engine on their own. They're completely reliant on the engine developers to build the engine with accessibility in mind.The main reason I see for using an engine to create a game, is that it greatly simplifies the tasks a developer needs to complete to release a game. Without an engine, the developer would probably spend more time on core functionality, rather than working on the game itself. It's good that the engine developers are willing to discuss implementing accessibility. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Assuming they are using an engine like unity (because really, what else would they be using?), it's true that the engine itself doesn't make its own UI accessible. But the situation with unity isn't as hopeless as people make it out, that is, it's a fully fledged language and lets you call into external libraries. To see an example of this, look at the Entombed 2 preview which has full speech for Mac or Windows. If their problem is that there's no easy way to, for example, make a map interface which they only designed to be mouse driven work just by telling the operating system where the different tiles are and go on with life, then maybe they are being slightly lazy or they designed the UI wrong so changing it now would be hard. Normally, this would just take no more than a day or 2 to get working and they could go on working on the game.

Hi guys,I have a couple ideas for this:1. The ball has a speed vector. X speed, y speed, and z speed. If these speed values are above zero, the ball travels positively in the direction. If it's a negative value, it moves backwards I.E. left, down, backward).If the ball hits a wall, it simply inverses the speed, putting a negative value. The only speed value that decreases with object colisions is side to side, I.E, x speed.Y and Z speed increase and decrease based on ramps. If the ball is traveling up an inclined section of the table, it slows down. If that reaches zero, it begans to excelerate backwards and down. Similarly, if it's on a decline, it does the opposite: accelerates in the direction it's going. However, x speed isn't changed when on an incline of the table.Second approach, I could use an angle, and one movement speed. And when it hits an object, it simple inverts the angle, I.E. whatever angle the object collided with
  the ball  +180.Would any of these system work? Or, what is the best thing I should use?

There's a bug fix for the windows fan speed issue.    ALso, WIndows Updates are prbably hung up due to a partial or broken download.  Usually  stopping the windows update service, and disabiling audomatic updates, then deleting the Software Distribution folder generally does the trick.   1. Turn off Windows Updates and have it never check for updates.2. Open elevated command prompt and type: "net stop wuauserv" without quote3. Go to C:\Windows\Software Distribution and delete it.Oce you do these things, restart yoru computer and try checking for updates.

Hi.I was going to post this myself, but saw you've already posted this.This is, really, the biggest disappointment and the biggest failure I have seen in long time...I mean, visual impaired and blind people got told that this new awesome game would be accessible, and that it would be made with accessibility in mind from the very beginning. Maybe I remember wrong, but I think they said designed with accessibility in mind from the very beginning...I'm not a developer and I don't know that much about programming, but there is something which I simply don't understand:Apple have put up a lot of guidelines on how to make an app fully accessible with the build in accessibility features on their products. Why is it that difficult to follow those guidelines, if a project is made by accessibility in mind from the very beginning? Is it because of limits? I fully understand that this is a small team who is working on this huge project, and I 
 know that accessibility can be a huge challenge. But what I don't understand is: How can the accessibility in this project be such a huge challenge, when Apple have given the developers all those guidelines? I mean, accessibility does not come as a surprise in this project, when accessibility, as I remember, have been a huge priority from the very beginning...I'm not saying the project or the developers are bad. Not at all. But, I funded the project because this huge and very interesting game would become fully accessible for blind and visual impaired people. So I'm going to ask for a refund...I'm not mad or angry at all. I'm just really, disappointed!

I did a factory reset on my phone, and right now I'm still having trouble with my narrator being stuck at whatever voice it's default to.   WHich I think is Siri Female Default or Samantha Deffault.    I can go in and click on the "Speak sample" buttons, but when I select them, the voice never changes.   Any idea why?

It's OK.I posted it and then debated for hours on end whether what I had just done was ethically correct, until I noticed the developer making every single stereotype clear in his post after which I thought it must have been a joke.Just in case this is not a joke, it might hurt, but let me be the first, but definitely not the last, to tell you that this isn't gonna work out. Never. Ever.You're biting off far too much than you can chew right now, sadly. And while I wish we had the tools available to quickly pump out an audiogame like that, that's not how it goes.

That's only true for free dropbox accounts, I believe a paid or pro account wouldn't have traffic or file lifetime limits.Anyway, that is why I'm hosting these files, when I can get them, from my Sendspace Pro account. The download links will remain valid for as long as the account is up to date, and barring anything unfortunate happening to me, I have no plans to cancel the Sendspace Pro account anytime soon.Plus, if I can get Burak's permission, I plan to give copies of any of his games I can get a hold of, to the games archive.@Andy93If you can't find the installer, if you don't mind and when its convenient, just zip up the folder the game is in, and send that. Stuff worth buying on steam

Hello folks. I recently got my Steam account to work, so I'm slowly getting used to it. I wonder if there are more games worth taking. For now I bought A blind Legend, which is ok. Not bad, not good either, not complaining, but I saw a greater potential for this one. Anyway, I also got the Grail to the Thief. I was aiming to see a nice plot, since the gameplay is not one of my favorites. So, do you guys have more suggestions of games to add to my list?Best regards, Haramir.
