Yes. Just to clairify, universe mode is what'll be dealing with the storyline which is why its on a single server. Its essentually the project alpha you know and love, blended with the freely open world and environment dmnb had. Death match mode has nothing to do with the universe mode nore the storyline nore anything with the dm universe itself, I added it as a nice little extra, since I was considering development of my own fps so me and my friends could play something other than redspot and thought why not blend it in since I already have the tools to do it. Though I do like the idea of objective baste gameplay for that stile, dead space had something like that where you played on either side, for the humans you had to complete various objectives, for the necromorphs you had to kill the humans completing the various objectives, could probably do something like that. I also like the APC idea and probably might implement something like that for both modes.

Hi. Well with muds npcs are usually easy to find. In alteraeon for example if you start with the newbie area the first npc you need who gives you quests is immediately two rooms east of where you begin, also note that some muds like alteraeon, Aardwolf and erion have commands like "where" which let you track where particular people or monsters are.Frandum is the only one I've tried where you have to search heavily for npcs, but  that's sort of part of the point in frandum .

I suppose it depends, you could possibly try the swamp map editor. Currently I haven't heard of any accessible 3D modelling programs similar to Rhino3D, Blender, Maya, or anything else like that though. When making BrushTone I had considered creating a 3D modelling program using a similar interface with 2D images and layers to map vertex points in a volumetric space which could then spit out 3D models, but there didn't seem to be much interest in such a tool at the time and 3D is still somewhat new to me. Considering most mainstream 3D engines you'd plug such models into aren't accessible to begin with it may not be that much of a surprise really, but i'm not all that sure how the geometry is handled in existing accessible engines people have put together around here either.Hm, maybe I should look into putting together an editor for my Audiocraft prototype. It would be full 3D and comes with a depthmap sonifier to help with navigation, but it would 
 be all minecraft blocky.

This is more evidence that the game is essentially a pokemon clone. I had no problem with the "one stage" thing, and knew roughly what it meant, because pokemon is full of moves that do this.What I'd personally like to see, actually, is to let nondamaging moves of immune types work.Example: I can see why Pounce doesn't work on a ghost, but why doesn't Glare work if it's not actually coming in contact?I like the way pokemon does this. Ghosts are immune to normal, but a normal-type move like Leer will still lower their defense. However, a ground type who is immune to electric can't be Thunder Waved, causing paralysis, even though Thunder Wave doesn't do damage. I think there should be support for the allowing of such things on a case-by-case basis, at the very least.The only manamon I've seen to get a move at 100 is Tabalus, but it's the only manamon I've gotten to 100 outside Irroadium, who gets nothin
 g after 75.Still seeking the starters, by the way, as well as a Sheepit/Lamgurk. I'd like to polish off this manapedia for real, do the last battle, all that jazz, just so say I've been there and done that before I drop the game probably forever.Mortrex with Sword of the Undead is kind of pointless actually, as I'm pretty sure it only boosts undead type moves. Give it a haunted hat instead.

Greetings all! I've just completed work on the first mission, which now goes as follows. During descent of your shuttle, you will get hit and start to crash onto cygnus alpha below. Once you crash you and your team, if you have any, must make it out of the shuttle, its a good idea to insure your all out before you proceed as the shuttle will explode once you get far away enough from it, killing anyone still onboard. Those who participated in the mission will manage to get 1000 credits each, and from then on out, you'll get to explore cygnus alpha. Until your able to find a way off the planet, like taking a mission that'll require you to get off the planet this could be how you acquire your own shuttle, you'll have to rome the planet doing missions and such, various federation soldjers will attack you out in the open so be careful.

Need  a programmer ASAP

Hi all,Some of you might know that I love playing poker and I do play regularly online. I found a way to play on pokerstars, but it's definitely not perfect and this is why I need someone who knows a lot about jaws scripting. I'm also going to pay if someone has the skills for this. Basically what I need is quite simple. Jaws would have to monitor a frame which is the chat box. Whenever cards are dealt, they are announced in this box. I want jaws to capture the cards and sends them to a hotkey so whenever I press that key it repeats the cards. If someone think they can manage this feel free to reply to this topic.

NFL RE-build, RE-Boot-- Something?

This current football season, as does every season, has me going football crazy. So of course I find myself wondering, if anyone has thought of developing a game similar to kitchensinc's NFL, but more advanced? For example, more plays to choose from, statistics effecting each team, a game story, or something to that effect? I've of course got no end to the number of potential ideas. I know a little python but this kind of project seems way beyond my level of knowledge, especially building from the ground up! Is this even something feasible? I'd like to hear any opinions on the subject, if there is an audience for this kind of thing I might just buckle down and actually become proficient lol. Or find some people to work with, I'm a great fund raiser

nah, they never bought me much, either once I left school, and college was a nightmare without all they could have done.  I was using my familie's computer for just about everything... Try sharing a PC with your older brother and your younger sister for a change and see how far you get in college life.  The only thing more fun than that was the lack of assistance I got over all from professors.

I don't really understand the theory behind it, but apparently the braille displays use some form of piezoelectric jiggery pokery. That, plus the pins makes it cost a good bit to manufacture. It doesn't mean they don't mark it up to they can profit too, which  hey, that's what we do, however, what gets to me is when they hike up prices because the gummint'll pay for it. The gummint ain't never bought me sht! I'd have to save up for a year or better to afford one. But hey, that's my deal.

Hi seconded nokturnusI can sympathise for that, as for the cost of braille displays, yeah their mechanical nature is where their major cost comes in.They are aware and are trying to get that down, but to do that they need to get rid of the pin system.THe mechanical units have pins which ware out, also moters to drive them, there needs to be space not to mention the battery cells, etc, etc.Braille is sadly a vary clunky and cumbersom medium, its always going to be huge ofcause but its the last thing to downsize so I understand that.Jaws and others I am un certain.Using nvda, a free opensource reader with scripting available people write stuff for it every day.Programs, interface enhancements, ocr packages, weather and other cloud service intergrations, and speech synths braille drivers, the list goes on.Excusing certain people that want to use it for viruses, hacking others computers and the like on just about every time I have looked
  at nvda's lists someone is either advertising an idea, writing it, publishing it, or getting their allready written ideas that were shelved in the bin out of it and doing it again.These are not always major comercial programs, most of them are small things.Some are needed like the windows 10 interface enhancement module, you really do need that one.So there are certainly those with the want ofcause its not enough for the throw backs of the old days.Ofcause it could be that there has not been competition for a niche market such as ours.Usually monopolies are broken up with competition that gets so fierce that companies have to move, merge, etc to survive.That never happens if it does its quite slow.At most what can happen is one or more companies will merge into devisions but its never been that big.Sadly our first generation companies have been round since the 80s.With no industry legally splitting them up for some corrupt 
 reason or them naturally splitting to survive, heck having some of them drop out of favor and having to adapt they have become complacent.And as long as there is a market they will never die.Inovation sort of becomes mute at that point.Comercial screen readers had their day.First unix then dos, then win 3.11 then windows 95, then 98, then nt 2000 and xp.then vista and 7 branches.Then 8, now 10.Sadly thats probably where it all stopps.Microsoft and the market at large are moving to online services, the desktop market is still round, but I have seen traditional companies like adobe move to a cloud infrastructure with some desktop apps.About 5 years before this conversation ever happened the writing was on the wall.I went into a pc shop with an autistic friend of mine.Every month we would go into the computer shop every month we would look at the latest games.Every time we would marvel and shudder at their price ta
 gs.One day mr steam came along.All of a sudden pc games dropped, shortly after that shops reshaped themselves for consoles.Now with online stuff being there most so called games now are the base package on cd enough to get it installed then you buy the extras and the content itself.Some stuff you have to buy to.In the early days we talked in bytes and kb 1-5mb was big.Now 1-5gb is small, over 20gb is medium.Even the modern smart phone app can have a size of 6mb up to a size of a wopping 700mb.To some respects the mainstream is catching up.We have everything from digital recorders to our microwaves, accessibility laws, etc.Our industry the disability industry the blind industry is the last in the line that has moved up.The industry are making a lot of smaller companies and we are moving.The core hasn't felt this yet, eventually it may move or it won't.Dolphin is doing a lot of extra programs, some
  of which I may even buy for using later.Gw is with ms on office and sells braille, fs handles student level stuff and jaws.A lot of places accept nvda and other things.Where comercial software then has its place is probably in custom apps.The only place where mainstream has intergrated so far is humanware and their keynote tablet with android 4x os.Its unsure exactly but maybe some of their keynote software will be installed on the regular android platform, they will branch out they are already adapting.Right now its a volinteer thing.Once the industry adapts they will be within the mainstream preasured market.They know they are high and mighty and to be honest I am not sure if I had the position for all time I would want to leave the place I got to in those years.I'd be bored and jump from the bridge when I was 40, but I am unsure if someone gave me a cushy life where everything was done and I could be a nice helples

yes, the death match mode only exists for killing purposes. Mainstream games such as Halo do that kind of thing, where they have campaign mode(s) and then just a mode there for running around and killing.

Also, right now the world map doesn't seem to be accessible with screen readers. It just says map 6, yt you can apparently travel to different locations but you have to click them.

Hi Snow. There are a few actual audiogames with sounds and such you can play with other people, though not many. Swamp, redspot, road to rage, crazy party, galaxy ranger, lords of the galaxy, Jungle, survive the wild, blind adrenaline card room, rs games, quentin C playroom, allinplay games and pontes backgammon I believe, are all of them, though of those probably only Swamp and survive the wild lets you play an actual character in a full online world.There are then a lot of online text games played on websites which can work well with screen readers. If you go to the front of the site and use the "search games" link, select the category mmorpg, you can get a list. Also, there is a great list of online games over on the www.whitestick.co.uk site, though if you look the games up on the database on this site you can find out a bit about them. There are some role playing games where you play a 
 character in a full online world, battling monsters or other players, doing missions or quests, exploring and yes choosing character classes (though whether you get ones like theif mage and clerric or more futuristic ones depends upon the game), , though these sorts of games are just text on a websites usually without sounds. personally I'd recommend sryth, warriors 2, metroplexity, kingdom of loathing, Drakar and puppet nightmares (though you might need to use your screen reader a lot for the last two), however there are very many of this style of game to try.There are then some space stratogy games which playin  a similar way, but rather than playing a single character, you control a spaceship or maybe a planet. my favourite of these by far is core exiles, but others include ateraan space stratogy, astro galaxy, space oddyssey and a lot more. Hth. There are also many muds you can play online. These are games where you type in text commands, and text 
 is sent from the game to your computer. These can be great fun, but have the problem of being played in real time so probaby wouldn't be harder if using google translator,  though I wouldn't be surprised if there are mud games available specifically in Chinese languages (especially the more widely spoken ones). You can search on the mud connector site over at http://www.mudconnect.com/index.html And look up the entries in the site database for vipmud and mushclient on how to play them.hth.

@TJT1234,And on the other side of the spectrum you have employers who hire people who they deem "passionate workers."  It's extra work.  It means you have a passion for doing a job and you don't complain about anything whatsoever because you are a passionate individual who is passionate about the job.  do you remember back in the day when McDonalds used to advertise this idea that "we love to see you smile?"  I doubt you can tell me those people are doing what they do because they love doing it.  When the homeless guy comes in and smells like the mother of all slums and sewage they have to treat him the same as the clean and well shaven and well dressed lawyer who just left with his seemingly upright and virtuous family.  if you have someone come and clean your house, you'll more than likely want someone who isn't going to complain about the job they have to do whatsoever and who seems on top of that, enth
 usiastic about the job you're giving them.  That's extra work, but someone, somewhere has to do it.Your trash collector, your plumber, your window washer, your insurance agent, your taxi driver, your pizza delivery man or woman, all of them have to suck it all up and tuck it all in and smile at you regardless of their personal feelings if they work for a company that requires "passionate workers" because they want to keep their job.  what do they want to do?  what would they rather be doing?  Are they doing what they love doing?  if you ask for my personal take on that set of questions, I think not...  lieve neither is an act of human will, else we would have had it thousands of years ago.  To further my point a little, why is it that every single day we see people on social media who have to throw their day in your face and make it seem like they are doing something you should be wishing you were doing and should feel jealous of?  Trips, vacations, food, products, services, relationships, and the circle continues, and theirs always, always has to be better than yours.  My guess is, however, that if you could get those people to honestly come forward and be truthful about the way they're feeling, you would find that all  is not  always as it seems.

We are a niche market, however, that doesn't fully explain the price of Jaws. They are essentially in maintenance mode at this point. Nothing new, no innovations, just keeping up with Microsoft. I'll think about it. But, since they did resolve the order, I don't want this to serve as a deterrent for others to consider ordering from them. The delay in receiving the key was a little excessive for my wants, but I did receive it, and I was in contact with them over twitter about it.I will be ordering from them again, and perhaps next time, I'll try twitter if there is an issue. I do find it a little odd that I didn't get a response to the contact form, also I find it a little odd that I called in total of 7+ times and got no answer all times, across 2 days. Yep, Timecrest is cool. I also very much enjoyed one button travel which works in a similar way, and of course there are the three minute games like lifeline, though timecrest is the best of that style I've played thus far. Then there are always new cog/hg titles kicking around, in particula I do want to try the second samurai of hyuga game, I've also heard good things regarding delight games. On the muds front, Erion and Avalon the legend lives just got db pages. Erion is nice if you want a combat fest, I'm also considering doing entries for cleft of dimentions and lament, when i've given them a more serious try, actually cleft of dimentions might be good since it's all based on classic computer games, you can even play races like reploids from the Mega man x games, Hilerians from the zelda series or even moogles. So, lots of stuff to try all in all, and that's quite aside from fun things like rythm rage and crazy party, and of c
 ourse the Bsc games which are now available (I was quite surprised that I had a very fun and nostalgic half hour with troop 2 yesterday).

Well here's the thing.You can actually sign up for free, buy the games you want now, and then when you get your console they will be in "my games and apps" on the ready to install tab. Once you get your console and have installed the games, I am not sure what to do about the 12 month or whichever gold code, because when I checked the canadian amazon I couldn't find a way to get an xbox code version, only physical cards. I think you can buy it with PayPal through the xbox site but then it will auto-renew every time.

Once you get your console and have installed the games, buy an xbox live gold code from the canadian amazon and redeem it to activate your online multiplayer, if you have enough money. That way, if you do it this way you have more control just remember to keep renewing it. Otherwise, if you buy it from the website with Paypal, it will autorenew so this way you can manage it. What makes this so cool is through Amazon, it will actually give you a redeem link that you click and it will work automatically.

Hi.At TJT, he wants to get rid of for example the direct touch typing mode in the rotor, so when he messes up typing again, he can't actualy change to that anymore.Sadly though, you can't fiddle around with the typing modes anywhere, not even in the rotor categorie in the voice over settings. You can also not get that setting out of the rotor.Greetings Moritz.

@tj, No, Lord in American english doesn' sound like lard but generally long o's in america sound rather like a's, hence why there isn't a difference other than the voiced r sound in hot and heart. It's to do with the position of the lips, indeed according to my lady when she was learning to sing she was encouraged to do it in an english accent since pulling the lips forward helps far more with air flow. What I attempted to write in the new york gangster accent was yeah, you talking propper like what we does or we gives you the cemente overcoat, (no gangsters don't do propper grammar either). @Lord Lundin, sorry but animal abuse not cool, (especially since I just finished reading a book with lots of it). just shut your door. ouch, well family business is going to get rather complex since Mrs. Dark's mum is now severely ill following a rather badly gone bypass,  actually when I say "severely ill" it's the sort
  of will need a hospice type of seferely ill. Needless to say she's not feeling particularly cheerful about this, and again I still have mondo work to do. I've started Pierce Brown's Red rising which frankly I'm disappointed in. the write up sounded interesting, sort of a distopea ala the hungar games but with a heavy sf twist. however the main character is so hard bitten as to be a right bastard, which means the real badguys are super bastards, indeed there virtually isn't anyone in the hole book who isn't some range of bastard, and when you combine that with a very cursary overblown writing style and huge amounts of really unnecessary gore and grimness it all feels so overdone as to be a little ridiculous. It's a shame, the world does have some interesting ideas, like humanity split into colours and society that is sort of like sf roman empire even down to dueling with rather cool morphing blades, and the pacing is rather good with 
 lots of cliffhangers, but everyting is so over done it feels  more like reading a wiki synopses of a propper story written by a thirteen year old with more testosterone than brains.

I will look into the keypress controls and roll text, Ive been working with my iPhone for every thing so far and didn't consider that earlier.I like the second and third stories.I will fix up the attack times tomorrow and change up the enermies.

If you make a website on Github you can post the link to the website in the readme and you will also get a shorter URL.I would like it if you put a role="status" in the screen element, that way when I go a direction I don't need to press ctrl+home and read down the new text, I will just need to listen to the new text. I will also know right away when I move.Note that you could also make shortcut keys for walking each direction like n, e, w, s.Things I would like to see are messages if I can't go somewhere, a pause in time while I'm looking at stats so I don't get attacked, a little weaker monsters, a story line.Here are a few ideas for stories:1. The roil twins, Princess Cavana and prince Joe is trapped in the tower with an evil sorceress. You need to save them.2. You are a young wizard who wishes to train with the masters in the tower, but when you get to the tower, the tower is empty. You need to find where the w
 izards went.3. You are a peasant boy who ran away from home because he wanted to be a mercenary. You need to follow caravans around the country, protecting them and leveling up. With your money you can either buy better weapons and armor, training or send it back to your family. You eventually need to become independently wealthy. This means there should be groups of mercenaries you train to work for you or you can invest in different merchants and protect them as well.I would also love sounds to play. Look at howler JS.
