I guess the question is does your stopover support the  chosen Aircraft?So you can take a cat 2 airplane to a cat 2 stopover and then change to a cat 3  if the final destination is cat 3, etc etc. I'm not going to look up this particular instance, but basically the only variables that need to be fulfilled are:passangers - this only Counts  when you're landing on your final destination actuallystopovers, doesn't matter what order you do them in.required Points, same goes here with order - or shall we say lack of order.and don't enter the prohibbited states.@tapin actually the take off angle / angle of attack is between 10 to 20 . Take off and landing speed is 15 above and below the current speed specified.

While I respect people that may find such virtual companions to be useful, if it actually was intended as a replacement for a romantic partner, that thought is mildly chilling. Especially since in the end, the bot has no feelings for you, and doesn't actually care; it is simply pretending to. If I had a son or daughter that had one of these, I wouldn't stop them, however I would inform them of the reality.

Well I'm still on arcase thus far, however I wouldn't be putting time into the game if it weren't possible to play solo being as I really don't care for grouping at all. myself I'm loving the quests, of which there are very many, also as a druid I'm getting a lot of milage out of my various minians which fulfill the functions of grouping members. I have heard some people say grouping is absolutely necessary on the mainland, however equally many people have said the opposite, and Dentin has confirmed that as long as you stay out of areas actually labeled as group and intended to be grouping areas, things should be fine. then again ARcase is pretty huge and there are hundreds of quests to do, indeed I am hoping at the moment I don't level myself out of the area before I have finished all the quests, though I'd stay to finish the quests anyway .

Therefore I'm moving this topic to general game discussion.Oh, and this is nothing against the program or anyone who might want to use it, I hope anyone who tries it has fun, it's just not exactly what this part of the forum is for.Btw, these things can be fun. I used to have great fun playing the low vision accessible super starwars games on the snes and using the debug menu to do some very nutty things, like playing Wicket the Ewok throughout the entire game, including fights with the emperor and darth vader, (actually he wrocked since all of the emperor's lightning went over his head), or having Han solo with a thermal blaster be able to exact some sweet revenge on jaba the hut. I also liked playing Luke with light
  saber right the way through starwars, or having Chubaka blast out the jawas on the sand crawler.So, hope people enjoy the program.

well, currently the toggles don't speak due to problems we're trying to sort out. this is made harder due to ethins lack of working knowledge of the interface gta uses to talk to the script.A trainer is basically a script injected into memory that acts as a sort of cheat menu, think the technoshock cheat menu in gta.

ok, i'm going to throw this out there. in simple terms, what the hell. ok, i have downloaded the package. now what. there aren't any instructions or info. i mean, for example. where do i get said game? IE, steam? or another format? i'd love to play with this, but right now, i'm more stumped than anything. i'm guessing it's a matter of running it along side the game itself, but these days, there's so many ways of getting games, i need to know how i should obtain it. and at the cost i'm seeing, i sure as hell don't want to get the wrong one!

When I say combat in sc not working, I mean that the targeting commands never seemed to work. I would type "lock direction" and be told something random about no lock there or the like, really it just didn't work as advertised. And yes, combat is spammy if I'm being constantly told "a computer voice says so and so" and again if I cannot actually play without rewriting the hole client myselfmyself. Why the hell the developers can't just have a low spam combat mode option I'm not sure. I really am sorry since there was so much in sc I did like, the world, the activities etc, even salvage seemed fairly interesting given that what you salvaged was a bit less than random, you could actually get npc quests to do salvage missions and running the ship was slightly more fun than just typing the same thing over and over again, plus I loved! the idea of exploring in the game. Again though, the spammy combat and how dam unforg
 iving the game was once I lost at combat just seemed unreasonable to me.Perhaps someone should post an article in the articles room with a link to a working soundpack if it's so completely necessary to play and the developers are being so arsy.

What I like about this particular kickstarter is that the goal seems reasonable. Too often I've seen kickstarters with a goal of tens of thousands, and people in the accessible games community just don't have the cash. I did play a very early rough alpha version of the game a couple of years ago, and I can say the idea behind this one is definitely what we've been looking for in game terms. I'm not sure if the graphics will come off, not being how complex and expensive creating graphics that would appeal to a sighted gamer is, but we'll certainly see. I don't know if I'll be able to contribute to this one myself, being as I'm rather lacking in the cash department right now, but I'll certainly see if I can before the campaign runs out.Oh, and btw, congrats on your first news slj, thumbs up from me.

What do you think of this idea?I think this would be a good idea since you could get more money and reach more strech goals. IE, steam? or another format? i'd love to play with this, but right now, i'm more stumped than anything. i'm guessing it's a matter of running it along side the game itself, but these days, there's so many ways of getting games, i need to know how i should obtain it. and at the cost i'm seeing, i sure as hell don't want to get the wrong one!

If the release will be then, I will try and fine tune the translations... as from what I've seen so far, they are pretty good, but should still be improved on by someone who knows the nuances of both languages. Will sit down this weekend and try and do a little bit. Also, @threeblacknoises, when you make updates in the folder, can you update the changelog and questions file please? Thanks. @paddyWelcome on board and hopefully you'll solve the problem to take off and enjoy looking down on geographical maps around you. Once you reach the required takeoff speed you hit 12x arrow down, check T speaking the ankle of the nose and if it's from 12 to 15 hit Z to check your height and if you're flying up hit ctrl+f and ctrl+g to turn off flats and gear and wait until Eurofly announces the success of this operation.@burak and @GiovaniWill tell it to Stefan if you haven't done so.@xkill851. We're sorry but this was declined by the community as too chatting thing.2. Greetings, puny earthlings, ahem I mean humans. Seriously can't I just say fello earthlings or something like that? Ahem. Ship buying is now operational. When you order a ship, you can give it a name like before. It clones it from the ship classes, sets up the proper asociated areas and docks it to the shipyard your at, you'll need to head for an airlock afterwards that has the ship docked to it and board it that way. Improving the tractor beam module, you now need a spacesuit to utalize it. However, a suit can have the option of a tractor beam or not, and its stats can varry such as how fast it'll move objects and what range the tractor beam can have. Once you undock from the station with your ship you can explore your current starsystem. For the moment, ships varry in top speed and sensor range as shown in the ordering a ship menu, but I can easily implement more stats layter on.

I've done a few quests on this game before. They were quite interesting, although how far are players allowed to go in order to help with specifics? I'm getting stuck with the Frandum quests that others just seem to blaze through. So, often times while I request this game, and Frandum is actually the game I've been looking for for a while, and I've just gotten back into it, I have trouble with quests I shouldn't have. I had to get help with that number quest in the house, for example. Even after being told what it was, the order was a bit scrambled in my head, even when I try to put the sequence of events in order in my head again.Even though I'm talking about a different game with a large quest focus, Frandum will probably be the same for me. I'm pretty sure I quit last time because I had trouble with one of the quests in that cave where you first start. The first quest I came accross, anyway.I'll probably try again, since I�
 39;m getting bored of constant grinding all the time.

well, currently the toggles don't speak due to problems we're trying to sort out. this is made harder due to ethins lack of working knowledge of the interface gta uses to talk to the script.A trainer is basically a script injected into memory that acts as a sort of cheat menu, think the technoshock cheat menu in gta.

I am personally looking forward to Starmourn. As for Stellar Aeon, I wonder if Dentin is really working on it anymore. The last time I was on an alpha build, it was very dull and boring, and I think Alter Aeon takes up all of his time. busy? If you are a GM on a MUD you are supposed to be there lol. I have been on MUDs where there are no staff around when you need them, believe me. But from this, I just idk man I just ugh!This is what I feel like is happening, they are losing interest, getting bored of it. They need an infusion of fresh blood, people who can be PR people like deal with players and their issues, and coders who can bring a lot more efficient code to the table. I don't know about builders yet because I haven't got that far. It seems when you leave into the wilderness everything you do makes you hungry at such an incredible rate that you got to be careful, like ration yourself on activities. Like really? OK I find that a little beyond what would be classified as realism. Now sure if you are chopping trees and such, then yeah you're gonna get fatigued and eventually, since you're burning calories, you'll get hungry quicker than you would had you been sitting in front of the f
 ire, drinking beer. Just walking around saps your strength, and its like frrhrhhrrhrgerlerhrhrrlerhrhrhrlrhrlrhrlrhrhrherhrerherherhrhrhrhrhr?Imagine you always wanted a Ferrari, and you found one sitting along the road saying free. It looks in mint condition, its gleaming in the sun in that Ferrari red that catches your eye, you see the prancing pony emblem, the Perelli tires look fully inflated and in good shape, but when you open the door, oh my god do things change. The first thing you notice is the torn seat, you immediately spot the foam in the huge rips. You sit down anyway, and you look around, the windshield has a spiderweb crack in it, the leather on the steering wheel is abraded, ripped and torn in places. You see fast food cups and bags and trash of all sorts on the floor. Oh, but its a Ferrari, this can all be fixed, right? You spot the key hanging out of the ignition, and the dread you were feeling recedes into a back corner of your mind, and you get that excite
 ment again, that anticipation. You check the gearbox is out of gear and you turn the key on so that the power is now on. A few lights light up, you hear a sickly sound coming from somewhere that sounds like the door bonger has a hangover, but hey its a Ferrari right? You now feel a mix of emotions, that cold dread is creeping back in, but you just got to know so you put your foot on the brake, which goes right to the floor with little resistance, and turn the key. Nothing happens, except the door bonger sounds a little more hung over. You try again and wait, hang on a sec, something's happening, after a few moments, the engine gives a pathetically weak lurch and coughs and splutters into life. Now you don't know how to feel, you have a knot in your stomach, but a chill in your spine, you look around and spot more chaos, a broken vanity mirror that the light in it doesn't work, the vent grill on one of the A/C vents is gone, the glovebox is hanging open, and the latch 
 is missing. The engine isn't sounding too happy either, its producing an odd shudder, making the whole car bounce back and forth. You open the hood and step out, as you close the door you notice the odd sound it makes as it latches. As you release the latch on the hood and proceed to lift it, you are surprised when it comes off in your hand. You set it down, the dread and gloom back again, making your stomach feel like you ate a bag of poprocks. You look in the engine bay and see a piece of cardboard sitting over the battery, you decide to leave it there. Next, you look over the engine, but immaculate it is not. It's in such disgusting condition, you almost want to cry. You sigh most discontentedly as you replace the hood, you open the door to shut the engine off but hey, it gives a last feeble cough and dies away, you turn off the key, close the door and get the hell out of there. This is what I feel like is going on, no one gives a crap over there that is staff, manageme
 nt who should. If they did this would not be happening, there is no passion for their work, I grant you there was at one point in time, but it doesn't seem like that is the case any longer. I'm just frustrated because there's like some diamonds in the rough, to use the cliche.

Hay Yukio, I'm trying the attempt to save in shift-jis like I said earlier.This line appears in briefing5.俺は、ビルの地下に閉じ込められてしまったんだ。        I was trapped in the basement of the building.But it's not being translated by the game at all.I'm trying to figure out if this is because of a problem on your end; EG, the line is not in the game's translation program; or if I can't coppy the line into my clipboard correctly.As far as I'm understanding it as of now, I can press C on my keyboard to coppy the last line spoken to the clipboard.This should give me something to paste into a text editer so I can correct the line in the file.I tried doing just that and pasting the result in to notepad plus plus after selecting shif-jis as my character set and ancy as my encoding.All other lines work correctly, so I must be doing something right.However, the line in question still appears as gibberish, even if I run the game using app locale.Do I need to install a Japanese faunt or something?I still wish to do this correctly to provide a good translation for all, but I'm afraid I'm currently stuck.In other news, I did manage to correct the translations for 5-1 to 5-3 as well as 6-2 and briefings 7 and 17, so I can still upload those after I run them through the game to make sure they sound okay in the proper context.Later!

Flux is not the sort of place that caters to sound pack creation and design. Apart from the fact that it is a sort of ever growing and ever changing canvas, if you like, it is the sort of place where simulation abounds. If someone were ambitious, they could certainly create one, but that doesn't mean it will stay current, as we expand and build new or modify existing areas, and add new features, the pack would need to be maintained. I for one do not like to use sound packs, however I do see where they can be beneficial, even enriching certain environments. I have been on MUDs where I will use a pack, and MUDs where I would not. Flux is open ended except in one area, that it requires you to use your mind. In part, this is due to said open ended nature, that meaning we have no linear A to B to C progression. The player can not only choose what to do and when, they are expected to do this on their own. Of course, we do help, but stop short of the spoiler line.We do have q
 uests that make sense to do them in a series, but I see nothing stopping you from doing them out of series if you really wanted to, of course, you're going out of your way by doing so. They also teach concepts you'll need in order to succeed in Flux. We do have combat, however it is not a main point of the experience, and it is ongoing expansion and reworking at this point. So, you could create this pack, and then 6 months down the road or even earlier, functions would not be working since we would have changed things.It's not just for that reason though, Flux is more of a sandbox, we do chat there, we do have social hangouts, and we do allow RP, however we are not RP focused in any way. Flux is a large playground, we sim a lot of stuff from mining to stocks to orbital mechanics with planets that actually move. Thus, since we are a MUD where the power of the mind is what we really seek, I feel sound packs are not going to be a good fit. Intellect is what we
 9;re after, not drones.Now, that being said, I do have sounds in my Flux world file. They are notifications of certain events, and that's essentially it.

Flux has a number of 'events' that fire off automatically, especially in outdoor or caves areas. some of these can be delayed. While some might enjoy the use of sounds like a creaking door or the howling of the wind. the timing of such a thing might not be in sync with the rest of the system, as most of these have a delayed start.The bigger issue for me, is that a text based MUD relies on its descriptions and messages relating to sound and other things going on. This is much like a book, where your mind fills in the blanks based on what you read. forcing an exact sound, rather that whats in your imagination, is like the movie directors version of a book, rather than yours.None of my active players have said that soundpacks of any sort would help. as the descriptions are rich enough where they count.

I did a little digging on the subject and it seems there are a few projects recently for recording 3D binural audio with androids and similar phones. The first one is [Binauric's OpenEars] earbuds that use built in microphones when you put them in to record 3D audio. Second is the [Hooke Audio Verse by Hooke Audio], which is similar to Binauric's method of using a pair of earbuds and an [app].I can't really say how good any of these are, and Binauric's website at the moment seems to be having connection issues.

Helpfiles are written by players for the most part, and not many are on the move lately. May be I should submit myself as one and do so already, lol.And in fact, if they're not busy, from my experience as a 2 years full time player, I can say Clok gms are one of the best in terms of helping. But the sucky thing is they seem to be extremely busy at time. This explains why the last octum fest didn't turn out as it should have, which if you ask me, it's fine. May be I just take things too easy.

I meant  when you buy the game, usually it takes a couple of hours for the key to arrive. as for what I mean about the post game, say you kill the evil overlord, got you're thanks, but what now? Did you kill all of his followers? A good example of post game is shadow line's after story. It wasn't long, but it wraps things up nicely. Basicly a glimpse into the  future, as I would like to call it. You don't have to make it, but with almost  all games, when I finish them, I have one question left.  What happened after that? So even if you won't make it, I would like to get a glimpse at how it would  Be free years from now or something.

You will be able to continue playing after beating the main story, with conditions in the game world having been altered accordingly - however there isn't currently a plan for any specific storyline to pursue after the main story. All side quests will still be available, of course, apart from any which could only be completed during the main story.Mouse support for menus is doable but tricky for a few reasons but it's an ongoing area of discussion.Assault: Yeah a few of the central roles were cast before the KSC so that we could feature their voices in the trailer. Which is not to say that there aren't still significant roles yet to be cast - there certainly are, and that's why we're so excited about all of the really great auditions we're getting.

The game already does hrtf with libaudioverse by default. I'll have a look at the U P N P thing, i've seen it used in cp. Though keep in mined since the only place your going to be hosting servers is the death match mode, their's a server list with that that'll list the various servers you can connect to. On the subject of wired verses wireless, it doesn't matter which, both use the same system, and both'll require you to forward ports on your router unless as ironcross said you use U P N P.

The two hands thing is fine, what is stupid is how you can't put all in backpack, which would empty your hands of whatever you're holding into your backpack or put a category of items. I just don't see how people deal with it, fighting with not helpful help files, extreme lag, a parser that is... well sub par, and staff who don't give a crap one way or another.

We can only hear 3D audio because we have 2 ears. So, you can only record 3D audio with 2 inputs, and even then, you'd need something to simulate all the littler things about ears and heads that make it possible to distinguish behind, vertical, etc.I once tried this by taking some wrap-around headphones that could flip inside-out and plugging them into my microphone jack. The result was really quiet, but it was halfway 3D-ish. Not pro quality by any stretch.

@xkill85,As I said in the other thread regarding this game and regarding Your question I think what You want will bring too much chatter to the Game and can be confusing and annoying. There are, as I and others have been saying, many other interesting features to make the Game more enjoyable.The Game has support for a Joystick if You use Joy to Key. I'm using it and I have a Thrustmaster t.flight Hotas Joystick and I configured the buttons to perform the different operations and read what I need to read and it works like a charm. The only problem I have and I believe it will be fixed soon is when I pull the stick to raise the nose handle I have to repeat that movement until I reach the desired handle and the same applies if I want to lower the nose handle. The right thing would be for the nose to go up or down constantly while the stick is being pushed or pulled. It will make it more realistic and more chalenging since the player would have to find the right handl
 e and would have to master the art of take off and landing as well as turning the plane to the left or right.

A heros call on Kickstarter: An RPG both for blind and sighted gamers

A rather new company called Out of Sight Games is currently working on their first title: A heros call.A heros call is a huge RPG with some features which might set a new standard for gaming in the blind community. One of Out of Sight Games goals is to hopefully bring blind and normally sighted gamers more together by adding visual graphics to the game. In this way, both blind and sighted gamers will be able to enjoy the same game.An other awesome feature is the games translation system. Google translate is build into the game, which means the game can be translated into all the 91 different languages which Google translate currently supports. As most people know this is not a perfect translation, but indeed a very useful feature for all the people who don't speak english. The Kickstarter campaign reached its original goal in just two days, but more money are indeed very much welcome. Here are the stretch goals:Stretch Goal #1 - $3,700 (Funded) - Dia
 logue Expansion : Meeting this benchmark will allow us to add significantly to the dialogue base, making the game deeper, more expansive, and more dynamic. And guess what? @joseph: what americranian means by a post game is some kind of an extra story if you have beaten the main story of the game. you can see an example of a post-game by playing aaron baker's paladin of the sky, or galaxy lab's japanese action RPG titled shadow rine which has an extra story after completing the main storyline.another way to add extra story is, as I said previously, through story DLC, if your team wants to do so.also, will you implement mouse support for navigating the menus? it would be helpfull especially for sighted peoples who always uses a mouse to select something else.
