Re: I miss Hearthstone...any replacement?

I don't think the audiogames community situation is as grim as you think it is Smooth gunner. I recall back in 2008,  Jason Alan posted the topic about entombed, saying he wanted to make an audiogame and asking what people wanted, several people (like me), requested an rpg, others said "well we want an action game" And look that eneded up. Over time the amount of genres available in audiogames has massively increased, hell I've been wanting a Mario party style game for absolutely years! and I'm pretty sure more ccg options will come along soon enough. Whether it'll be developed by a community member, or be an indi game with access tweaks I'm not sure. Hell I'm already interested to see what Pragma has up his sleeve for the next crazy party update. Every update so far has added several card types, of course we've had the six battle mode as an unlockable. I'll be interested to know where we go f
rom here, especially with the game being still a beta.

Re: Monthly Chat February 2017

Hi Maria. Btw, where in the world are you actually from? You don't have to fill in your location information, though I am wondering, since your Hispanic.I'm of course in the gloomy and desolate reaches of north England, not far from the Scottish boarder, though that being said yesterday actually started to look like spring with nice sunshine, flowers etc, something my lady is looking forward to since she's not enjoyed the winter .Well the washing machine saga continues. The guys turn up to install the machine, extremely nice guys I have to say. they go through all the controls about what does what and how to set what, and indeed the machine has some very useful buttons. Then however they go to pull out the old one and find apparently there is a hotwater tap as well as a cold water one, so if they install the new one they'
ll have to leave the hot tap open and we'll have another major flood! They said we needed a plumber to come and tap off the hot tap, and regretfully left the new washing machine looming in the corner of our living room! On the plus side, the housing association people are! willing to sort out the taps since it's part of the basic flat's fixtures that they own, and odds are the nice plumber will install the new machine while he's about it. On the down side, that can't happen until Monday. So, we've had to hang semi clean laundry until it's at least  enough to store, and hopefully it'll be fixed by Monday. I also got a lovely email the other day saying the re submission of my thesis has been delayed again. In fairness I think this is because one of the professors is ill, but it's still a major painus in the anus since it means I can't start anything else yet.So today continues to be busy, wit
h more sorting out my windows 10 machine doing things like installing vipmud, maybe adding the gate to the database now I've played the thing, and of course writing my review of cell!

Re: Supernova disappointments

[[wow]] Sebby, I remember the Apollo, great clunking box that it was, though it did give surprisingly quick reaction speed being a hardware synth. I did have one occasion in a history lesson where apparently the Apollo box had fused and it proceeded to melt. The first thing I knew was the speech becoming choppy, the second was the smell of melted plastic, after that point I pulled the plug out of the wall and ran for it . It actually does surprise me supernova went down this route with adding podcatchers etc. Always in the past, most of the actual updates were internal, about what types of controls supernova would support meaning that if you threw supernova at most programs it would be okay. that is the bit I am rather sad about. It's not adding a podcatcher or nls bard book player is a bad thing, its just that when I see the nuts and
bolts of what supernova does not working the way they used to I have to question priorities. I don't know what will happen in terms of commercial screen readers. I will keep an eye on supernova, and if I run into things nvda has trouble with will give it a go, though whether I will bother getting the v17 upgrade in a couple of years is debatable.

Ironically though, I just heard on the news yesterday of companies encouraging employees to take power naps in the middle of the day. I've actually done that myself when I've been on an intensive performing schedule, and it works, though I think if I did it every day I'd pretty zombific, indeed after a week of performing classes I usually take a week to recover .

ahhh yes the wonderful days of hearthstone, beating opponents that have  legendary cards that they probably bought with real money, vs your deck that you hand crafted from grinding for hours at a time in rank battle and the arena. my main deck of choice was maige. I was smashing others decks, with having only two taunts, shield barer, and the mirrors. a bunch of spells like the fireball, flame strike, and I think the other name was ice bolt, that froze all monsters on the field and dealt two damage to all. those were some fun times man. really checkout the yugioh mud, its pretty easy to use, and a bunch of strategys you can throw around. it will satisfy that missing hearthstone void trust me

I've been a long-time Dolphin customer, too. Ever since the days of their old external speech synthesisers (Mimmic, Apollo, etc) and Hal for DOS. Great years, great company. A shame they've come to this. Even Supernova for Windows was technically brilliant, featuring things other screen readers didn't have, like pattern and shape recognition for types of controls. And indeed, like Window-Eyes, it was a much more do-it-yourself type of affair. But the fact that it had a fairly high learning curve also made it an ideal choice for more committed and advanced users as well. I always thought it was inevitable on some level that they'd have to relax their philosophy a bit to accommodate more newbie users; I just didn't expect it to be in the form of complete replacements for things that it should just work with (text editor and reader, podcatcher, etc). But I didn't know they had a screen reader for Windows 3.x. That's a new one on me. I came bac

He would read me the most important things on a card, I would braille it on the card and that way we could sort of play together but it was painful. Magic: the Gathering is another animal ... I have actually done research on this and there's a few clients that are so close to being accessible its maddening, but still broken enough to not be useful.Crazy Party's battle mode, like others said, is very CCG-like and is a full audiogame, I play it a lot.The Yu-gi-oh MUD is something I've picked up a few days ago and it definitely has me hooked. The client for it should not give you any trouble; download the file linked to in the first post of the topic someone else already linked you to, unzip it, and run the mushclient.exe file within the folder. Re: operation redspot. The final debriefing.

Hi. So conner, first, did you know the RTU home base was destroyed once with over a million health? It actually was. It's really not that hard to make a base we can't find. Hell, call it the RTU destruction base and no one could know how it was made. Just last night, someone stole a bunch of gas from us. Also, the grabber unbalance is not how you think either. The code for item spawning is completely random. Actually when the RTU purchases and uses grabbers, the more show up all over the map, because it's completely random. If you wanna stop letting high number intimidate you, then come and take us down. Make a base we are not likely to find, collect for a long while, then come at us with 200K health and fuck us up. Instead you think Oh god, a base with 2 million health, fuck this, there is no way. Someone before realized that just because someone had a base with 1 million health, that they could do something about that. And so they did. We have to struggle fending
off attacks all the damn time. So if you want, get your shit together and give us a serious challenge. When new bases are created, sometimes part of the team just goes and destroys them, but I keep trying to tell some of them to let the base get stronger so that we have a challenge. The only reason it's impossible for you is because you think it so. Talk to kipper, he's not on the team, but he'll tell you that he did indeed destroy our base one time and we had to recollect. I really don't have much to say on the matter. The RTU can and will be destroyed some day. If no one wants to try, it will continue to grow and grow.

That program is simply the default editor that comes with a lot of Python distributions, but it is by no means required. If you are just starting out, you could write simple programs in something like notepad and save them with a .py extension instead of .txt . Then, you can run the programs from the commandline. Most tutorials on Python should explain very clearly how to do this.Good luck

In this game, attacks come from three directions left, up, and right. You block by moving the stick in the direction the attack comes from. Origenally, I thought you'd have to aim with the right stick to block, given that ubisoft were saying it was a shooter with swords. Everything i've watched though, makes it seem more Bushido Blade like than a shooter.

What raven says about keeping the mode skills sort of equal is very true. Even if you're not using pain, raising pain will put more points into the "mode pool" that you can use to have the other mode abilities active.

I have friends with lebers and none of them have these issues because they can see the sun. And well, that's about it really lol.Who knows though, maybe as the internet becomes more and more prevalent in our lives, people won't care so much about being on a 24 hour schedule? That would be interesting. Most people don't think about the non-24 problems associated with total blindness I notice.I have sleeping issues because my neighbors love yelling at 1 in the morning...

Re: I feel like college is changing my friend

No, but you wouldn't think it's unreasonable to think that a fat person wants to be thin? Ultimately a lot of it is a body image issue. The thing is, to actually "fix" the problem is quite different. "Fixing" a fat person means helping them lose weight and become the person they want to become (to some extent). The difference is though that losing weight is very beneficial for a fat person to the point that there is pretty much no reason NOT to.The whole idea behind acting like that is that it helps the person feel better. Not like, "feelings" but help keep your mind off of things. If you're a fat person you're likely thinking about how you wouldn't like to be fat, after all. That wastes a lot of time, causes a lot of depression and anxiety. imho this is one of the things that gender cults has forgotten about since it's clear they're more interested in affirming their identity than actually feeling better. To
be honest though I think this is the wrong approach.Like yeah sherlock of course I know I don't have the man toolbox but if I adopt the role of a guy then I feel better. Personally for me I've never really "acted" either gender, I was always just myself. Thing was that self was clearly masculine, to the point where a lot of time people thought I was one of those long haired metal dudes. But I do like the way that testosterone physically feels, and I like being more masculine, so yeah. It was clearer to me after my life settled from a crisis ending in late 2016 why I felt that way but it's kind of personal. But I think the problem here is that a lot of these people couldn't tell you even the basics. And someone like that needs to introspect more. More cognitive therapy. The problem with the acting thing is that they feel uncomfortable with acting strictly masculine, then they experiment with being strictly feminine and that doesn't fit
either. Then, they find out that there is a whole group of nonbinary genders which they can apply to themselves while they are trying to understand what role they want to fulfill. What I realized was that my role was very clear, but obviously the opposite sex, which is why I decided to transition. These people though, they're not figuring themselves out first. They're basically just saying two very strict stereotypes on how to be a person doesn't fit and then they succumb to "I'm a special unique snowflake" disease, which is really just another way of saying they're extremely insecure.I don't really understand the social side of it. Honestly it makes me look like the biggest dick but I honestly think most of the social side of it is insecurity of specific parts of your interests or identity instead of pure gender identity issues. This doesn't mean they couldn't be trans, it just means they aren't always together. These pe
ople are extremely insecure and expect you to compensate for it.If anything I think instead of acting the opposite gender, they should really just release themselves a bit and just do what they want. You wanna be a man who wears a dress? Experiment with it and see how you actually feel about it. Maybe you just want to be a man who wears a dress. Sure, that's weird, but at least now you aren't undergoing unnecessary treatment.

this... This would explain many things. So I started messing with this game a few days ago, just whenever I get a bit of time to myself. My experience so far? You'll spawn, maybe get the time to pick up a couple of things, then someone invisible shows up, and murders you. You never hear them coming, and they don't show up when you check nearby. It was always the same people. It's sad to find out that it's just people that have amassed large piles of items  and who are probably macroIng the crap out of everything. There is a quite simple solution to this though, Timed matches! Instead of one map that just runs 24/7 365 days a year, The day could be split into a series of deathmatches that run for a pre-determined amount of time. At the end of the match, your kills are added up and everyone get's positioned on a leaderboard. After that, the map changes or resets, every player is reset and everyone starts with the same base amount of health and items. Th
is solves people amassing all teh itemz and dominating the game for ever and ever.

Read fhelp newbie, fhelp newbie advice, etc. You won't be able to use all the modes early on (by which I mean later on fremen can tank, damage, heal etc. well at the same time, but pre-100 you'll be better focusing on one thing). One thing i'd suggest doing is training your mode gskills together. Even the modes that you don't use. With how the mode points thing works out, it always helps to keep them equal, even if you don't use pain for example.Anyway, hope you have fun

Sadly I haven't read any of the Dune books yet but I will be soon, I think it'll give me some perspective.@David S, I wanted to ask you what sound triggers do you find to be the most helpful? Also, what mud client are you using? I'm using VipMud as I can script with it sooo much easier then Mush. When I say triggers I don't mean anything guild spasific, as I know our combat looks vastly different for example. But the triggers I've set up so far are li

Not sure what to use for a trigger line when combat ends, as there seems to be multiple death text strings. lol that'd be something I wish the admins/wizards at 3K would get together on.Thanks to all providing helpful tips and insights in this thread, its definitely appreciated.

Re: Your Experience with Sleeping Patterns

My boyfriend has prosthetic eyes and suffers from sleep-wake cycles. He's been using this Sleep Shepherd Blue device for the past few nights. It's quite on the pricy side, and he hasn't really determined if it's working yet. He says it gets him to sleep easier, but he still has trouble staying asleep once he's there. He tried Hetlioz for a while,-- the medicine used to treat non-24. However, it made him incredibly sick to his stomach so much that he couldn't keep taking it. Herbal remedies stop working after a while, and his body eventually gets too used to sleep meds so that they stop working. I can see sunlight, and I don't have these same issues-- though I do have trouble staying awake once I get home from work in the evenings. I think that's just laziness though. Even living with a non-24 partner and knowing about it as I do,
I have trouble accepting its limitations and schedules. I'm a super morning person working a 9 to 5 job, so it's sometimes hard for me not to be annoyed when he's sleeping until 11 or 12 throughout the day. Our society is so geared towards the daytime schedule. It's when we work, shop, get deliveries, make phone calls, and generally interact with the rest of the world. I guess one silver lining is that careers today are shifting more towards work-from-home and telework situations. At least that allows you to have some control over your schedule.

Re: I feel like college is changing my friend

I despise how poorly LGBTQ+ handles the whole trans and homosexuality thing. I'm gay AND trans too, so you know they screwed up big time.I'm definitely a minority in the community when it comes to these opinions so I wouldn't recommend going up to someone's face about it... but a few things first.Animals are homosexual all the time. It's a reality, sorry to burst anyone's bubble. Animals generally function on hormones, ourselves included, and those hormones can easily get a little screwy. Homosexuality probably is a form of population control through genetics. Believe it or not, especially in social animals, it's good to have a few non-breeding individuals to help support society instead of children. Makes sense why an animal that takes 20 years to develop would have a couple queers.I should point out though that nobody is BORN homosexual. The truth is everyone is born asexual because we are babies and don't understand o
ur sexuality yet! It's likely that our genetics determines whether or not we will be homosexual or heterosexual but it's not a permanent state of being - rather, the biological mechanisms that favor one over the other determine whether or not an animal or human acts homosexually. In all honesty I think that homosexuality should just be integrated already, nobody cares who you're screwing behind closed doors anymore. Is it really anyone's business who you're getting off to as long as it can consent?Back on topic: Gender is a whole can of worms. The neo-gender movement is an abomination. Next time you hear about someone talk about a gender that isn't male or female, listen to how they describe it in extremely vague terms that is almost meaningless. You know what that is? That's them showing off their immense insecurity.Gender dysphoria is a legitimate medical condition. There are many medical researchers who are investigating it. Howeve
r, there are a few serious problems with it:1. The disorder has become very political. Of course, transgender people have always been kind of a taboo for conservative types, but more problematic is that people are getting too liberal with labeling people as transgender. It's a medical condition. As in, you have to be medically diagnosed. If anything the disorder should be treated as a disability because that's what it is in a lot of cases.2. Treatment is too liberal. I have a particularly jarring experience where I was able to get a letter of recommendation for hormones after 1 visit. Theoretically I could have been on hormones less than a month after I decided to book the appointment. I think my case is unusual, but I feel that doctors are oftentimes willing to either simply just wait the time period required or ignore the time period, partially or completely, as a form of support for the transgender person. What frustrates me about this is that HRT is not o
nly irreversible but is not as safe as people peddle it to be. There is also the problem with suicides post-HRT, likely caused by people who made a choice that they regret.I personally don't mind going on HRT but this was because I knew at that point what I wanted exactly, and it had nothing to do with vague problems like "not feeling happy in my body", but rather very direct things like wanting a beard and wanting to sound like a guy, and most frustratingly, wanting to have sex like a man. Like what frustrates me about these people is that they can't even tell you jack shit about their actual problems but they expect you to buy into it, and then there's me who basically knows what they want but they can't physically get it.The nonbinary thing is also worrying to me. It seems that people peddling that again have forgotten the medical nature of gender dysphoria. I was peddled this when I went to the therapist and I notice that my normal the
rapist doesn't buy into it either. Basically nonbinary is supposedly a gender that is not male or female (more oppression points tbh). I was peddled this since I explained I didn't really want to be overly masculine outwardly and I really didn't care that much about being called a girl, it was more of a physical thing. Later I realized the reason why had more to do with the kind of person I am than my gender identity.Ultimately, the problem is that people want to go on HRT since they think it will fix their gender problems. Most times it doesn't get rid of them. My friends tell me the argument that it "might help them" but I feel like they're ignorant to the risk assessment of the issue. "Might help" is not enough reason to push someone on life changing medication if they aren't in a medical emergency. I still think it should be an option but only after a serious assessment.I also genuinely feel that all these shenaniga
ns are concealing other mental health issues that have little to do with gender. Hormones are known to destabilize people with conditions like BPD and yet people want HRT delivery to be even MOR

Homosexuality probably is a form of population control through genetics.I should point out though that nobody is BORN homosexual. The truth is everyone is born asexual because we are babies and don't understand our sexuality yet! It's likely that our genetics determines whether or not we will be homosexual or heterosexual but it's not a permanent state of being - rather, the biological mechanisms that favor one over the other deter
mine whether or not an animal or human acts homosexually. However, there are a few serious problems with it:1. The disorder has become very political. Of course, transgender people have always been kind of a taboo for conservative types, but more problematic is that . It's a medical c
ondition. What frustrates me about this is that HRT is not only irreversible but is not as safe as people peddle it to be. There is also the problem with suicides post-HRT, likely caused by people who made a choice that they regret.I personally don't mind going on HRT but this was because I knew at that point what I wanted exactly, and it had no
thing to do with vague problems like "not feeling happy in my body", but rather very direct things like wanting a beard and wanting to sound like a guy.The nonbinary thing is also worrying to me. It seems that people peddling that again have forgotten the medical nature of gender dysphoria. I was peddled this when I went to the therapist and I notice that my normal therapist doesn't buy into it either. My friends te
ll me the argument that it "might help them" but I feel like they're ignorant to the risk assessment of the issue. "Might help" is not enough reason to push someone on life changing medication if they aren't in a medical emergency. I still think it should be an option but only after a serious assessment.I also genuinely feel that all these shenanigans are concealing other mental health issues that have little to do with gender. Hormones are known to destabilize people with conditions like BPD and yet people want HRT delivery to be even MORE liberal...Please do not buckle down for these people, they are irresponsible and are not treating the disorder as a medical condition but rather as a political identity. I don't agree with your beliefs necessarily but these people are stepping the line much more than you have.P.S. Generally, working on morals is a very flawed way to live, since in unusual circumstances morality will not be a
ble to compensate for the circumstances. They do make things easier I guess though.

Re: Street Fighter V Trials

I think Street fighter will always have 360 and 720 in one form or another, even in a game that doesn't have Zangief. (Was there a game that didn't have Zangief?) Almost all grapplers in Street Fighter use that motion for a grab. It's only newer characters like Mika or Alex that simplify the input and go back to just a half circle. Honestly, though, I'm so use to 360 and 720 as a Zangief main in Street Fighter V that those motions don't really bother me much.As a side note, Kolin will be coming out soon, and I think I do have enough FM for her, so expect the first post to get an update once I can figure out her trials.Kai

Either one of these days, another one of these nights, just checking twitter. Pg13 plays wasn't streaming anything that night it seamed, but then I saw this tweet from Sam Tupy, this person who created that survival game not too long ago which was a decent game, but I hadn't been fully into it at that time. So it says that there's this db folder for beta te

Naturally, cause I like to help games in their final development stages with bug smashing and the like, I send in my email, and get to try a ruf outline of this new game. It was called redspot. Blood and paril, and was apparently going to be a full on fps. Since there were a few other people on at the moment, I had a good time trying out the beta and giving some feedback. Then new versions got released, and different items were added. At 0.22, we already ahad some real nice things added like the machinegun, timebombs, pipe bombs, grenades, claymores and the like, then development just... stopped for a while. So I completely forgot about the game for a bit, but occasionally logged on anyway to see if other beta members might be playing. Sometimes there were, and sometimes they weren't. And I was thinking, You know, this thing is good for being in an early beta stage, and I can see a lot of

So after a while, development continues with all sorts of stuff being added like jets, shields, and whatnot to make the gameplay more interesting and strategic. So that's fixed, and sam throws out some more versions where the game keeps getting better with things like the towers to fortify, robots, new types of bombs... you name it. And I'm thinking, cool, a nice game to hang out and unwind on. And back then, it truely was. Everything was perfectly balanced from my standpoint. Everyone lost their stuff when they died, everyone started on equal terms, unless you had a team of course, then it was a

Re: Phone number varification in games

Hi. Kai, I completely understand your point. I will attempt calming a couple of them, but I know not everyone can trust me with this information, and it's up to them. So, first and formost, hacking. Nothing, is impenetrable on the net, something you probably know. the only loophole *bgt* has that I've scene is debugging ones. This means that someone would have to maintain access to my servers filesystem, get the encrypted phone numbers, then debug the hell out of the server executable in order to retrieve a number. Also, giving things out. My word probably is not a lot, but I must say that I'm not stupid. There are things I know I must not give out. There was one time ware I actually posted an IP on the chat system of stw probably 2 or 3 years ago now. Any logs I posted were hardly private, but none gave out any private information please correct me if I'm wrong. I even go as far to change the proper names in logs so as to not share any private informatio
 n. Also, consider this. People purchase things on my game threw Pay pal. Pay pal puts the address of any purchaser right in the payment receipt email. I have never, once in my life, posted, shown, or looked at an address my self. I've of course scrolled passed them, no way to avoid that, but did not pay them any mind and have never shared them with anyone and never plan to. All that is required to access them is to hack my email, something I try to protect a lot. I don't even store configuration data for any email clients so that should I get infected with a trogen, There is no passwords to be stolen. Also @conner, there is a /private setting in stw. I only aim to keep my games as low priced as possible so everyone can play them, so the phone number is the best next thing, because I can ban it. I'll just wait for more opinions.

www.sryth.comThe early gameplay is massively quest and story related. There's several days worth of playable storylines here. Once you get to the end of that content though, the game degenerates into a massive money-spending competition. Playing from the beginning is still fun because it reminds me of the old days when large scale adventures were still being developed, but the game isn't really worth 20 dollars at all anymore, much less 20 dollars a year.Drakor has a playable set of storylines from what I've seen.www.drakor.comDomain of Heroes has a completely playable storyline.www.dohclassic.comPuppet Nightmares has a playable storyline split into episodes:www.puppetnightmares.comBilly Versus Snakeman has probably a hundred different activities to do, one of
which is a playable line of missions. You get a limited amount of turns in most activities per day though.www.animecubed.com/bvsKingdom of Loathing has a playable line of quests. Re: I need a new headset for computer work, any tips?

I just received the Sades today and I am impressed! For only $28, these aren't bad at all. The earcups are a lot bigger than the SoundTRAX. The cable is a lot longer and I don't have anymore fears of breaking a micro USB port when I want to use wired audio. Connecting these to computers works like a charm. I haven't tried the Windows PE in the Windows 10 Creator update just yet, but these immediately started working when I connected them to a Mac Mini running Windows XP and my MacBook Air running Sierra. The microphone isn't so bad if I turn down the input level in sound settings. Music and other audio is pretty good as well. I'd say these were well worth the low price tag. I honestly wish someone would have told me about these before I went out and wasted $300 on Bose QC15 and $130 on two pairs of SoundTrax headsets. The only downside to this whole experience is the fact that I don't have 3.5mm support. I can't connect these to my phone or any o
ther device besides a computer with USB ports. Hopefully, this product will last me for a long time to come.

Re: Phone number varification in games

2017-02-16 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — General Game Discussion : Xoren via Audiogames-reflector

Re: Phone number varification in games

Privacy is a very hot topic. Some people for one reason or another don't mind giving out their personal info. Others, like myself, are very protective of our personal data. People like me don't enjoy giving out sensitive information just to play a game. When we come across games which require that much detail into our lives, we just cancel out and move on to the next game. There was an LP mud I was going to play once upon a time, except that it required you to enter your real name, address, etc. I should not be required to give out that level of detail about myself, just to play a game online that I might not even like anyway, especially when I have no idea about the integrity of the person(s) who will be exposed to such data, and to what extent they're going to either protect or abuse that availability. If I may be so blunt, your willingness to bring up private conversations and logs on the forum with respect to drama involving player(s) within your pri
vately owned games doesn't bode well for the level of integrity I can expect from you with regard to the handling of my personal data. How do I know that, in a moment of whimsy or ill humor you won't just release the database? Furthermore, unless I'm confusing people, you've had security issues in the past, wherein people have hacked your system and attained passwords. You've been involved in too many incidents where trust becomes an issue, and some of those incidents were driven by impulsive urges that you may or may not regret later. If history teaches us anything, it's that repeat situations are inevitable. How long until someone annoys you enough for you to release their personal details out of a vindictive quest for settlement? How long until, through some carelessness or neglect, or through some programming loophole in BGT, someone unscrupulously breaks into your database and purloins all those phone numbers and whatever other info you might
decide to store? It's too much of a gamble with not enough incentives to make the betting worthwhile.I still think you're too young to be handling such sensitive data. I don't say that out of spite or any desire to malign you, but as a neutral party whose witnessed various interactions between you and your gamers and fellow forum members over the years. What happens if, through neglect, impulse, or some other reason beyond your control, this data leaks? There is precedent for legal ramifications should that happen. Are you prepared to contend with such a hazardous minefield of problems? Even if you seek exclusion through a user agreement policy, in various districts and provinces, there are provisions wherein such user agreements don't hold full sway and are not enough protection for you should a data leak occur. In conclusion, I think adopting such a sensitive database of personal info could be disastrous for you at the current time. This is not to
say it couldn't work in the future when you're older and have calmed down and become less of a victim to impulsive reaction, but at the moment, it can only give grief to you and those who wish to share your entertainment options. As an aside, what eBay sellers have you been working with where you have to give them your personal phone number? All the eBay exchanges I've made have been safely screened through eBay itself, with PayPal handling the escrow and transactions. The only thing that they *have* to know is my address, and there honestly is no way around that if you expect them to ship the product to you.Kai

Re: speechPlayer in eSpeak sapi5 and gnuspeech command line program compil

It actually does. In the normal eSpeak installer, there are five edit boxes. You can enter as many voices as you want in each edit box, just remember to separate them with a space, like this:en en+f1 en+f2 en+f3 en+f4 en+f5 en+m1 en+m2 en+m3 en+m4And so on and so forth. I don't think there's a limit on how many languages and voices can be installed at once in each edit box, at least when I first tried it three or four years ago.

Re: I miss Hearthstone...any replacement?

caccio I feel your pain, trust me I feel your pain. I was a hearthstone addict for about a year. my ex girlfriend use to play it with me. she would read me the cards, in my hand and on the field, and I would tell her what to do. we made decks together and all, even tried streaming a match or two. only thing that gives me some what of gradification is the yugioh mud listed above. I have tried all the other games dark suggested like puppet masters but I didn't like there pvp to much, aprone's game was enjoyable but once you beat the single player, discovered all the easter eggs in the story, and collected all the tiles that was pretty much it, there was no multiple player to keep you to keep playing the game. advanced fallen worlds was some what close to hearthstone and yes it was assessable, it was web based, I played that all the way until its life spand died due to the community becoming non existent. funny thing is, the community decreased because of the popularity of
hearthstone pretty much all players went over there. highly doubt that project reappears, the dev gave a heart felt goodbye message on the homepage and thanked everyone for  being apart of the community. nina is currently working on a assessable yugioh port for the gameboy advance yugioh game which is about done. I was hoping he did a mtg or hearthstone one, but since everyone was complaining about the yugioh mud, like most blind gamers complain about audio games, he decided to make the yugioh port instead of the others. sadly you wont be seeing ccg assessable games floating around because there is not a high demand for them in the audio game community. audio gamers are addicted to fps and that's pretty much what devs focus on making to satisfy that demand. I was learning bgt for a while to try and code a ccg game of my own but man my brain is fried so im taking a break lol and the lack of demand for them turns me off from making one since I think it would be a waste of ti
 me.

Re: Braillemon status update!

The project is officially done and I'm only keeping the files available on my dropbox for legacy purposes. Please let me know if any of them don't work. Some examples of why the code won't be worked on anymore:1. The code is extremely messy, including the following:- Because of a bug that caused HP to dip below 0, EACH STEP the game checks if the HP has gone below 0 and corrects it if it hasn't.- The pokemon party is built in 6 1-d arrays and is accessed through switch statements throughout the code.- Very few constants are used in the game, so yeah, every time I reference a pokemon, I'm actually referencing their index number. Imagine how coding with that gets.- Every single attack's ability is stored in a single function and has a lot of copy-pasted code. This script is over 10,000 lines long.- The code that handles how attacks are calculated is a spaghetti filled mess.2. The code is not flexible at a
ll and doesn't utilize inheritance properly.3. A good portion of the menu code is handled through game maker's drag and drop system, which makes it extremely hard to maintain because this system is slow, buggy and generally crap.I really hope that this makes it very clear why continuing work on this project is really not worth my time. I have considered contacting the development team of Pokemon Showdown to at least have that be more accessible but honestly I don't feel confident enough in my web development skills to do so.I hate admitting this but I started braillemon as an ambitious newbie who knew nothing about development, and this is what happens to a large, ambitious project that's managed by someone who clearly doesn't know anything about how to manage a project. All a learning lesson though. Development continues on Colors, but currently right now most of the development is based around the engine itself and not on adding new con
tent; the bulk of the game is expected to start development around June or July 2017.I expect a full release by August 2019 if I can reach funding goals; if I can't receive any funding it will probably be a year or two pushed back. One of the main challenges with colors is that since it's also a visual game, I need to compensate for graphics as well. So getting graphics to work eats up a lot of my time.Colors has a much more clear strategy to focus on its completion and is far more flexible in its code than Braillemon ever was; the main thing holding me back now is stress, work and lack of time; however I try to complete a new feature at least twice a month, and try to get releases out every 2 months. If you haven't already, please follow my page on Facebook to get more continuous updates.https://www.facebook.com/ColorsChromatics/

I am going to make a bold, bold prediction here. But at any rate, I think that as Narrator and NVDA continue to evolve, paid for screenreaders will eventually go the way of the dinosaur in terms of knowledgable users. The only support and purchases I think that they will receive will be government and workplaces that buy that particular screenreader, because they are stuck in the workings of yesteryear and that is all they know. Hell, maybe that is how things are now; I primarily float between Windows and Linux, and don't really keep tabs on such things.

Phone number varification in games

Phone number varification in games

Hi guys. So, I wanted to talk about an idea that I came up with with stw admins. Basicly, I have found an easy and reliable way to send out going texts to a phone number containing a verification code which you enter into the game, and it accepts you. This, of course, you will have scene on many websites and apps. This has some advantages like* making it hard to make massive alt lists. * Being able to ban phone numbers, so pretty secure. * Perfect stw alt lists and better cheat protection. However, a point was brought up to my attention about privacy. The way I think about this, is that this kind of thing is all over the net, people are OK with making Pay Pal purchases thus exposing addresses among other things, and phone numbers are usually given even to EBay sellers you've never heard of before in your life. However, I got some small concern about weather people would be OK with giving there number for a game. The numbers would be completely e
ncrypted, and I would never get access to them unless requested by the user who provided them, also the system is automated. What are your opinions, do you think this is worth pursuing?

Hello,What about visual basic/studio isn't accessible for you? I use it perfectly well with NVDA.If you're looking for something free and cross platform, the python programming language might be for you.

Re: Any party-leading turn-based strategy?

@Caccio, I think there must have been some missed communication somewhere. when I said a larger dungeon, more monsters etc, I mean in the game itself. Start the game and as you have seen there are more character jobs and races to choose from. This means even on the flaws you've already played you'll be encountering things like goblin shaman and the like that you weren't finding before, and of course, after you go down passed where the demo finished on the eighth floor you'll have another 17 floors to go with lots more monsters and enemies some special bosses. As for the bazaar, as I said, it's not a major part of the game and won't give your starting characters any advantage.Basically it's like a super version of the usual shop, where if you have found a particularly good weapon you can put it up for trade, and anyone on that level of the dungeon or higher can buy it, giving you coins in your turn. it's hard to any
thing worth putting  up and I'm not sure how many people use the service. Really your best off just looking in the dungeon and enjoying the  content as a single player game as I said. hth.
