I personally adore the wastes, indeed if you fancied doing an ultimate package with all the new created objects etc in it to save people having to download and add any number of files that would rock, and of course I'd be absolutely in favour of developing the wastes ii or finding a way to add more stuff into the game in the future if that is possible.I will now give the latest warsim a go and see how things are going in terms of updates.BtwI'll also remind people that since Wastelander is kind enough to keep his main game package with the same name, the link on the warsim page in the database will always be uptodate with the latest version.

Use a ds4, its better than the ds3. ds4 windows works. all you need to do, is run the program, plug in your controler and turn it on and it will work with any game straight away.

I'm not clear on the requirements if any for getting that spacetime warp deal. I know it's in the hotel in the lake city but nobody there seemed to say anything about it when I was there. No Dark, the locations of those 2 VIP MUD folders are the same in Windows 8.1 as yours.Regarding Phil's advice:I know how sensitive windows 8.1 is with the Program Files (x86) directory, its write protection has caused me some problems in the past, so I thought of reinstalling VIP MUD into a different location, or different drive even, but I kept delaying that step by now, as the last possible alternative.If I finally decide for it, there are 2 possible issues I am afraid of:The 1st one is the VIP MUD client registration. Will my computer still remember it after such a step, and if no, how can I avoid to pay the 30 dollars registration price again, by re-registering the program?As second, losing all the data, scripts, preset character and soundpack settings, etc. True, the folders and files for those are located in my users documents directory, but also under a folder named VIP MUD, which will very likely be deleted along with the program itself

Sorry for the many posts, but I'm going to comment on one thing: I don't like how badly the pain sounds for characters seem to pan in the game. It's like... you hear them falling on the left side yet their pain sounds come from the middle. I have to compare that to the first game but I don't think it was that way then.

I can honestly say I love the soundtrack for this game already. I'm hesitant to listen to it fully yet though because I want no spoilers. But I bought the first game's soundtrack and downloaded the second on Apple Music. The composers for these games are genius... I just wish the Mortal Kombat Soundtracks were more readily Available.

that would depend on your sound card though, like the ones that come with mine? not sure what it exactly does but it gives my laptop's speakers a bit of artificial base... probably sounds terrible for audio people but I like it, and when I plug in headphones it's automatically turned offbut yeah on that track the audio enhancements could be causing your issue over there, in my current case though turning off enhancements in stereo mix does stop the weird stuttering recording issue, but it also makes it go very quiet... like so quiet there's no point in recording anything with it lol

Okay I just have to say I love this game. I decided to give it a try finally haha.Okay I have a major idea for this game, given to me by the card game. And that is, you should add Yu-Gi-Oh. I know this would be a huge work in progress cause you would literally have to add thousands of cards. But I would be willing to help if you can add the cards via text editor or something. But playing the card game I was realizing in a way already how it reminded me of Yugioh. Also I think with how this game is programmed or seems to be anyways, you may also be able to add the form of dual monsters they played in the middle of the battle city tournaments when you have to choose a deck master and stuff.I hope you like my idea and it would be so awsome if it was added.

Go to the playback section in your sound settings, then switch to the enhancements tab. Make sure that the disable all enhancements checkbox is checked, and you should notice a drastic improvement in how your computer sounds.

If you did like Window-Eyes, ZoomText Fusion is still being sold.I am a JAWS user and I use Research It and Convenient OCR all the time. I use Research It to quickly check the definition of the word because a) it's quicker and b) I'm too lazy to go to Wiktionary (the dictionary look-up source it uses) and search for the word myself. I also use it to check the weather for my city, which is almost always extremely accurate. I sometimes also use it for checking the latest news from the BBC.As a student, I use OCR to scan documents from time to time. It varies with its accuracy, but generally it's good enough for my needs.

I've recently put more thought into using either a dual shock 3 or 4 for PC gaming as far as fighters go, since as people will likely know playing on a keyboard isn't exactly the best way to optimize gameplay, lolhaving said that though, I've been debating between nefarius's SCP toolkit, and jays2kings's DS4windows packagefor the people who may use either or both of these, any thoughts on which would be better? I know DS4windows doesn't support a DS3, so I was thinking about the SCP driver package as well for that reasonbut yeah, lol any thoughts or opinions on which to go with would be fantasticthanks

There are voice studios all over; see FUNimation (Dallas/Fort Worth), Ocean Group (I forget where... Van Coover?), etc. California is where the big-name studios and money are concentrated, but there's much less concentration than Cinema or Programming. (And programming is not that Silicon Valleyspecific).

Well as I said Phil, I have the program installed in program files x86, and all the scripts in the vipmud folder in documents and have had no trouble at all. Whether this is a difference between windows 8.1 and Windows 10 I don't know.

yeah see I never had anything that drastic, I just had a problem where after the first reboot my computer was on the stock drivers so wouldn't switch between speakers and headphones, but one-time restart fixed that partalthough I didn't know you can actually disable updates, so that might be worth looking into

When my computer was updated to the Windows 10 anniversary edition, I experienced a major audio problem. When I would unplug the headphones from my computer, the sounds coming out of the speakers would be completely distorted, like the speakers had been broken or something like that. That was the time when I restored my computer to the November update (version 1511), and from then on, I said no to any Windows 10 update, which I'll do away with this summer when my holidays start. Quite disappointed with it, I confess!

Hello.So, I'm kind of a fan of the way jaws reads it's messages. You can have a PC cursor voice, which could say the name of a menu item, and then the tutor and message voice will say 2 of 16 or something to that effect. I'd like to develop games without running Windows. More generally, I can think of several uses for Wine. How do I make programs running under Wine talk? For example if at the terminal I typewine bgt_english_installer.exeit opens what I presume to be the setup wizard but I can't hear it.

Just a thought, but do you have a USB headset or sound card that you can plug in while you troubleshoot this? That way, you can set your screen reader's output to that device while you try and find an updated driver. I don't know anything about your specific problem, unfortunately, but that would be the best way forward if you don't want to risk losing speech during the process.

If so it should work, it works just fine when I do it on a second version of TB I've got.If by error you mean the "cannot find effect" one I fixed that, it seems there were a couple typos in the old zipped version. Just redownload it.

okay, so recently I got my computer onto windows 10 creatorHowever since then there've been a couple issues, top two being stereo mix now apparently cuts out and stutters where it worked perfectly before this update, and changing volume while sounds are playing after the computer has been active for a while also causes a slight audio freeze, although a quick restart can fix that oneI've tried running the automatic driver updates on the conexant drivers this laptop uses, however I am apparently on the latest version alreadyI'd be tempted to see if their website has anything, but I wouldn't really want to mess around with audio drivers, lol obvious reasons...would anyone who has a bit more experience with these kinds of things be willing to assist? anything on either issue would be greatly appreciatedthanks

But, in the editor, that main method is atached to something else? Or is atached directly to the scene.In the majority of tutorials, the c# scripts are attached directly to gameObjects from the editor, but in the case of our template, our  main entry point of coding is attached to what?I ask this, for look how I have to think when i want more than one scene. like a menu, and the play window, etc.

Ahh I think what you've experienced is a bug I've just noticed with creative mode. It was disabling itself so then some commands aren't registering. Well, I like open ended puzzles that have more than one solution. So, maybe the first solution is you harvest the cot for its springs. You could use the search command and have it build a spring.obj or something. Or make a custom command, I don't know if you can make prebuilt commands do stuff like that, but either way, it is something that is likely doable. Anyway, when you get a spring, you need to flatten it out, so put some weight on it to uncoil it. Then you need something else to make it a little more rigid, so you rip the paper towel rack down from above the s

Now you have a rudimentary lockpick. You could even maybe have a little lock picking

Jaws is so big and bloated because of the OCR feature, mainly. Also, Research it most likely isn't helping matters. If these were optional features, I wouldn't mind, but I think it's absolutely ridiculous to make people download things they might not even use. When I was a JAWS user, I never used Research It. I feel that it probably is useful for those who are just getting started with using a computer. But, then again, it would be much more empowering for them to learn how to use Google, or another favorite search engine of choice, rather than letting a screen reader hold their hand. I also object to the OCR package being included, because I think I used that thing a grand total of twice ever since it came out, and that was for testing purposes. I found that most PDF's I've interacted with could be told to play nicely if you converted them to text, usually with QRead, but there are other workable solutions. And, honestly, this was the only real benefit to
  the built-in OCR that I had foreseen, the ability to interact with PDF documents. Then again, I don't really use them that often; a restaurant menu here or there, or maybe a bank statement if I really need to comb through those for something, although these things have pretty much all been solved by my acquisition of an IPhone anyway.And don't even get me started about why the JAWS training materials should be an optional feature. Oh, wait, I don't have to make a case for that, it should be pretty obvious why. I am also quite displeased that FS found it necessary to push their podcasts on you. Hi Shrike. MushZ is specifically written for alteraeon. I do believe there is a way to configure it to play other muds, but how I am not sure.I'd personally recommend Vipmud from www.gmagames.com as a really easy to use, straight forward mud client that will work fine with most screen readers or with sapi. It is a commercial program, but the restrictions in the free version are very minimal, I indeed used the free version for quite a while myself before actually buying, plus if you mean to play cosmic rage, the games' default soundpack is written for Vipmud and works very well with it. hth.

I've never seen it fail to get to something on a page before, it may not always identify what's there, for instance, it may not always read the label associated with a text box, but you usually can get to it. Yes, I did make sure it was in focus mode. Also, I was trying it today and could not get some commands to work. I was trying to set up a scenario where I could create a table, then break / fix it with custom commands, that part worked. What didn't work is the custom message when examining the table, it refused to change. I also tried to create a glass beaker, then create a situation where if you dropped the beaker, it would smash, and then delete itself, but you get the message like it smashed. I couldn't get that to work either. Also, couldn't get on event stuff to work as far as changing the it worked message when I made the table breakable. But as far as building exits and describing rooms, building objects and stuff, that's all fine, I
 'm sure its me doing something wrong As far as a text box, I really do think we need one that is fully reviewable, because if I write a description out for something, then make an error near the end, and not sure what I did, how far back to go, etc. then I have to write it over again. If I make a game on here and provide the file for others to try, I want it to be free of spelling and grammar errors. So, if I'm doing more than a liner description, I'll often times write it in Jart, and spall check it ,and review it before using it. I have done MUD building, and still do, and this one MUD I play lets you build your own stuff like space stations and stuff, and I like to provide a good rooleplay experience, so my descriptions of things tend to be more than one liners. It's hard to force myself to type slow, I'm a fairly fast typist, but not always an accur
 ate one Anyway, thanks for sticking it out and working to make the engine accessible to us. I have some ideas for when we have the ability to check if you're carrying something, and stuff like that. Maybe even a puzzle where you put together something. Say you have a door, but to open the door, there isn't a lever, knob or switch as usual. Say you have a source of water, you have a small jug that you can fill with water, there is also a contraption there that has a large weight on one end, and a bucket on the other. What you have to do is use the small jug as transfer medium to get water from the water source, and pour it into the bucket, when you do this enough, you balance out the weight on the other end, and start to tip it the other way. When the weight is such that the mechanism can reach the bottom of its travel, the door opens.Also, maybe a scenario wher
 e you find yourself trapped in a room, not unlike the demo scenario, but this time you are kidnapped, the only thing in there is a cot, a sink with paper towel roll over it and stuff. Well, I like open ended puzzles that have more than one solution. So, maybe the first solution is you harvest the cot for its springs. You could use the search command and have it build a spring.obj or something. Or make a custom command, I don't know if you can make prebuilt commands do stuff like that, but either way, it is something that is likely doable. Anyway, when you get a spring, you need to flatten it out, so put some weight on it to uncoil it. Then you need something else to make it a little more rigid, so you rip the paper towel rack down from above the sink, and take the wooden dowel and use the corner of something, or the one end of the spring itself to cut a little furrow in it where you can attach the spring, then you make a little hole with the uncoiled end, sort of drilling it in
  like an auger, so that you can then take the other end, which still has a few coils, ram it in there, and let the coils fall into the little furrows you carved. Now you have a rudimentary lockpick. You could even maybe have a little lock picking minigame where you guess a number from 1 to 10, you get 3 guesses and you get a hint to whether the number you guessed is higher or lower than the computer generated number. If after 3 attempts, you don't get it, you go back to what you were doing, and there is a chance that you broke the lockpick.

@jonikster, Getting into eeven small scale acting is bloody difficult in any country, let alone in Hollywood, and if you don't mind me saying, even more so if English is not your first language. Generally speaking you don't get that sort of work by just turning up at somewhere or living in the right country, you get it via firstly doing some actual qualifications, joining unions like equity (the actor's union), and then to be brutally honest, by getting lucky with who you know (while auditions do tend to be held for acting jobs, %90 of the time auditions will get you know where since the director will have already picked who they want in the cast and are just holding the auditions as a formality. This is very true for sighted people and when you add visual imparement into the mix and the fact that most directors, even for voice acting don't want visually impared  on stage or in productions it is virtually a none starter. indeed the "who 
 you know" quotient is apparently even worse in Hollywood than it is in other parts of the performing arts. As people have said if you want to move to another country, make sure you actually apply for and get a job there as well as find a place to live close to that job, indeed given stricter immigration measures,  this might actually become a requirement to live in some countries, the way it currently is for places like Australia. I'm not saying this to be harsh, but as was said earlier in this topic finding a place where everything is equal is not possible, likewise your chances of actually doing voice acting in Hollywood are vritually zero. If you want to get into voice acting, I'd first recommend looking around for a drama school or qualifications in voice, preferably in a place where you share a common first language, (and don't tell me there aren't any drama schools in The Ukraine), and then go from there.

I didn't mean Darkseid blasts thins out of the way without any prolonged torture... I'm familiar with his comic book personality. But you don't torture a life... you torture a person. But maybe I'm digging too deep here... and some people are just easier to please. The delivery on the part of the actor is good... but as with their history, the way they try to make people sound bigger and badder is to layer morphing effects ontop their voices which takes away from it, imo. The line itself just doesn't make me react the way it's clearly supposed to. It just doesn't sound natural in context. Not after hestarts off by talking about how immeasurable the suffering will be... which has nothing to do with how long it'll last. lol But again, this is just me... most people are probably happy with all the dialog and don't really care how corney  or badly written it might be.

So the character to character intros are still as badly written as in MK X... most of the lines are still worthy of rolled eyes... such as the one I found while playing in the multiverse. Don't remember every shred of dialog... so I'll just write down the bits I do remember.Aquaman: Should I be intimidated?Darkseid: If you have a shred of intelligence!Darkseid: Your suffering will be immeasurable..Catwoman: Still got nine lives to spare.Darkseid: 9 lives to torture!That quip about nine lives to torture doesn't even make sense! also Catwoman's one liner during the mtch, "I am catwoman. here me roar!", actually made me laugh out loud... Darkseid is also not nearly as intimidating with his dialog as he should be. I like the rest of the game, but the pre-fight introductions sound like they're written by a group of 15 year olds trying to be clever. Sorry if anyone else disagrees...
