I don't understand why talking about beta bugs is bad.If the gm is not out yet, then obviously common sense means that someone is talking about the developer or public beta, because if they check for updates, surprise, they are running the latest. With the robot, you need to try to use the elevator, then you're given an ID number. You type that into the Data Base, and then you get a code. Then it works like a door. Override it. Then, once you access the robot, deactivate it

Those are only ideas and it wouldn't help if we all started to write them down on a forum like this.And well, one more reason why for example parents wouldn't trust such a developer who writes 5.99 and charges 6.99. Just imagine a little kid wanting his parents to buy it, they do, and then the kid is the bad one because the dev charged more than he claimed.

But that's unfortunately where we'll have to stop agreeing.First off, if you give people one legal and one nonlegal way to download material, they'll probably jump to the illegal one. We aren't going to host such links or tolerate ways to get those links here. That ship sailed awhile ago. It's over. It's done. My advice is to let it go. If you want to share legal means of sharing anime and other content, go right ahead. We encourage that. If you want to pirate that material, please don't do it here. No matter how nicely you word it, you still would prefer the freedom to engage in piracy on this forum, and that's not going to happen. Engage it in your own way, on your own time, outside of this forum, please. I'm not going to lecture you on what you do or don't do outside this forum, but within it, you've agreed to follow the rules, so please respect those rules.Second point: to the previous system and the mods who often let copyrighted material hang. The biggest issue was that we as a community were okay with virtually any copyrighted material so long as it wasn't an audio game. Why the heck does that even make any sense? Why do audiogame creators get protection while music, book, manga, anime, movie, TV and the like have open season on them? And please, please don't use the money-scale argument where you say that it's okay because these people make millions; that's outside the scope of this discussion. If it's ethically questionable to pirate an audiogame, it's equally ethically questionable to do likewise to an anime, an audiobook, an album, a movie, etc. You're still taking for free what you should be paying for. We cracked down because we decided it was better to be safe than sorry, and better to not have exceptions all over the place. X material is safe to crack/pirate/steal, y is not. No thanks. It's better to just put a blanket ban on all of it and ask you not to do it here.Now, last but not least, to the hypocrite comment. If you dig back about a year (site and forum feedback will be a good place for this)  you will see examples of how things have gone on. When I came around as a mod, I was very firm and brooked no nonsense, and people saw me as a tyrant. Liam helped me out a bit there, and I've since grown a bit gentler in my approach (most of the time anyway). We had some other new members come around who have also been doing a great job. If you want a microcosm of what I'm talking about though, check out the topic where Sam says he's leaving; in it, a bunch of people are saying that rulebreakers and people who are dancing around the rules should be cracked down on. And when we published an update saying we were going to do that (we'd been tossing it around list for weeks by that point) one of the very first posts was like "whoa, this is harsh", basically. I stated that I was certain someone would call us out no matter what I did, and I was right, even if in this case it didn't get crazy-big or anything. The point is, if we have a stance, there always seems to be somebody who wants to cry foul. They complain when we're too lax, and then complain when we get strict. They complain that there are hypocritical exceptions being made for certain copyrighted material, then howl when we blanket-ban it entirely. We just can't win sometimes. We have definitely had users point out the hypocritical nature of the former stance on piracy, and that's one of the reasons we fixed it. It gets tiring to be criticized, let me tell you.

Hi, I didn't read the full topic so I don't know if this was already said, but maybe you could tell him to go check out sequence storm. While you race, especially during the tutorials, it removes notes for the track if tts announces something, so you can listen to the message. This way, tutorial text is read out. If you, for example, change place during a race however, or your time is running out, the notes are not removed. The announcements are kept short, so you don't get too distracted from gameplay. This info is announced using tts, though there is an option in the accessibility menu to switch to clipboard naration, which simply coppies all of those announcements to the clipboard. I believe there are some status elements that are always visible on the screento sighted players, like racing accuracy and speed. In sequence storm, pausing the game reads them out using tts for blind players. The remaining information is provided using autio cues. I don't know how fast paced this dev's game is, but for a game like sequence storm, keep the notifications short and sweet if they're simple status updates, and if there are some longer ones, try to put them in slower paced game sections. If tts is used, consider adding a way to increase tts volume over other game sounds, if volume controls are present, to make the speech more audible when needed.

Hi, I didn't read the full topic so I don't know if this was already said, but maybe you could tell him to go check out sequence storm. While you race, especially during the tutorials, it removes notes for the track if tts announces something, so you can listen to the message. This way, tutorial text is read out. If you, for example, change place during a race however, or your time is running out, the notes are not removed. The announcements are kept short, so you don't get too distracted from gameplay. This info is announced using tts, though there is an option in the accessibility menu to switch to clipboard naration, which simply coppies all of those announcements to the clipboard. I believe there are some status elements that are always visible on the screento sighted players, like racing accuracy and speed. In sequence storm, pausing the game reads them out using tts for blind players. The remaining information is provided using autio cues. I don't know how fast paced this dev's game is, but for a game like sequence storm, keep the notifications short and sweet if they're simple status updates, and if there are some longer ones, try to put them in slower paced game sections. If tts is used, consider adding a way to increase tts volume over other game sounds, if volume controls are present, to make the speech more audible when needed.(Man wouldn't it be cool if CIV VI had popups read out loud)...

I was thinking of any accessibility bugs to report when I noticed something. There are no sub categories for the different accessibility features. Everything is all under one roof.So I want to send feedback about this to apple, because everyone's needs are different, and they do not all belong in the same area. Here is the report I tried to send, but it failed. I will hold off sending so I can look at the responses you all give and see if it is something I should submit again or throw out.report name: accessibility features need their own dynamic section.which area? AccessibilityWhat type of feedback?Available options are:incorrect/unexpected behavior.Application crash.Application slow/unresponsive.Battery life.Suggestion.I chose suggestion.please describe the issue and what steps we can take to make to reproduce it,etc.This category is too broad. Each accessibility feature needs its own feedback section. Accessibility is for people of all different situations, they can not be grouped in the same way. This section can not be short cutted.Also, having all accessibility in one place makes it very difficult to determine which engineers should look into the issue. It shouldn’t take 5 minutes to say, ok this should be forwarded to the VoiceOver team. No. It should be instant. Area: accessibility, feature: VoiceOver, issue with: braille, or audio, or roter, etc.Want the best accessibility? You are going to have to be much more dynamic than just one big accessibility section. It won’t be fun to code, I understand that, but it will make things much simpler for accessibility users, and it will save time determining which team should be forwarded the feedback report.Please do this, for both the users and accessibility teams.

@49 please clarify for me if you want me to add an option for real-time combat or not. My initial thought is "no don't do it" and I was copying how MUDs do it to start (generally automatic, powers and level-ups add different attacks, skills, etc. and you can do things before combat to influence the outcome).If the current combat is fun as it stands, I will leave it as is for now. But, please let me know your thoughts. It's quite a bit of work to add realtime combat, even to the prototype.@48 I completely misunderstood your post. I actually posted a release post. When you choose accessibility, if you continue swiping right you will find something called what does the accessibility issue you are reporting involve? Whether it is ridiculous or not, you agreed to it, and that's it. The fact it is ridiculous should be brought up to Apple, but till they agree, it is an official rule, and based on what it says your beta access could be revoked. Of course, as has already been said that probably wont happen, but it's not such a hard rule to respect. Join a private beta testing Vo group, and you are fine to discuss all the bugs and report them. However, let's base it on your example. You were frustrated about the status bar bug, which was fixed in one update and took a week. So it was pointless to mention it to anybody but Apple.

Com and .net? I never knew that this is possible but, as I never delved in the more windows specific parts of the framework and always thought of it like a better version of the java environment, this is not surprising. Could you give me an example of doing that?

Dark, I do the same thing, although, I am tending to run mountain maps at higher levels and just let my workers supplement my wood and food. I try to have 500 dragimp somewhere between 50 and 60, and I buy them often.My thing is if I have enough helium for a carpentry upgrade, I use it, coordinated now, but I figure the more trimps I have, the more resources I will have on my next run which will make it that much easier. Still isn't addressing my damage problem, but formations on this run are helping. I always forget about them.

Ivan, did anyone force you to learn? If not, then don't take it personal. Nobody told you that you must code, you do it for fun, as your hobby. I have different hobbies which I do for fun and nobody forces me to learn languages for example. And I even don't take it as a plus thing for me. It's a hard work for sure, both of them are, but you chose to do it, and you surely knew it won't take 2 minutes to learn.

Hello. I am attending a Java language program course and I'm starting doing simple programs, like a calculator, or the game Rock–paper–scissors.I am asking if is possible to do an audiogame in Java and how? For example, how to do the first window with the menu game? Now I am able to do that window in stile command prompt, in which a player can press 1 for new game, 2 for info, 3 for exit ecc. Normally I wouldn't say something like that, however you decided to come on the topic and tell me that it would take 2 minutes to write a game and steal the sounds. So I'm correcting you here. For communication with a screen reader, Tolk can be used to output the information, though that will force you to only compile for windows. You can find Tolk here though this build is slightly out of date. The latest builds are not working correctly.I am not too sure as to how to output sound and get keyboard input, however. I hope someone else can chime in here.

Yeah I was having major difficulty yesterday after zone 80 or so without using formations, since dominance is a great attack boost, then when the percentage of damage I'm taking exceeds the damage I'm doing I either switch to maps, or if I just want to finish the current zone I switch to Heap. As far as I've been able to gather heap is much better than barrier  after breaking the planet many enemy attacks go through block anyway.On the huge guide by truth on the wiki it suggests farming gardens over mountain if possible, I've not really been able to decide myself and am trying both, especially now I've just unlocked perfect sliders. Actually I've nearly finished electricity, I'm just on 79 taking care of void maps at the second. Its been slightly slower than a normal run, but not too bad, and hopefully I can push a bit higher with my upgraded perks.

Hey simba, the chimes indicate where turns and straight sections are.The drum sound that happens shortly after hitting the hyper button is actually where hyper effect starts.  You should hear your boost power level draining on the right side.  The effect lasts for maybe 5 seconds, depending on how much boost power you have, but is extended by hitting notes.

You want to be able to stream or download anime, as well as get hold of manga, and you appear to want to be able to do it for free, since anime.tv isn't enough for you. Anime.tv lets you stream, but you can't download. You could buy the anime DVDs you want, but apparently you can't/won't/don't want to do that? Doesn't work. You believe you should be entitled to download anime on demand. That's not how it works.And as for manga, same deal. Find a legal way to obtain it if you want to discuss it here and share it. If you can't be bothered, don't think you should have to or just plain won't, that's fine. If you share links to piracy-friendly websites, the procedure for breach of rules will be put in place.To the rest of you, I'm sorry about this stiffness, but I am sick and tired of this. The level of demanding and entitlement going on, from only a few users I might add, is frankly stupefying. I'm going to step away for a bit. If this gets worse or explodes, it will not be me dealing with the direct aftermath because while I do trust myself not to use personal bias, I'm already veering dangerously close to that line I've crossed a time or three where I start really laying into people. Firefly, it's simpler than that. You just use "trans," as if they were being sent to your own world. Keep in mind that if the planet has missile bases, the transports will take heavy losses, so it’s probably a good idea to send in bombers or other missile ships to deal with them first.
