Sequence Storm won't Launch

Hi everyone:So this might be a dumb one, but I'm logged into both my account on the Steampowered website and the steam desktop client...I think I'm logged into the client anyway, and click play game on the Sequence Storm page, then click Yes I have Steam, Play Now! and the Steam client opens but nothing happens. How long should I wait, if at all, for the game to launch? I did that login cheat thing I found on here where you can make the Steam desktop icon point to your account and all that, but who knows...maybe that's my problem? Hlp?

Entombed 2 could prove interesting, especially if it becomes much more story-driven than the first one. Shades of Doom could be more story-driven as well. How about a Troopanum sequel that's a vertical scrolling shooter like VFB? A continuation of Paladin of the Sky. I know that was intended but hasn't really come to fruition that I'm aware of. Of course, I still have yet to complete POTS, but... Just throwing darts at this point.

Hey, Paul:This is amazing stuff! Seriously, should game creation be even this easy? I know that's your goal, but gosh...truly staggering what you've done so far. Here's one possible use of the point of interest sound object you mention in 1.4. One thing I've often thought about asking for is to have walls make sounds, even though I know that wasn't something you had in mind for the ultimate build of this. I just like the way some audio games do that. That said, I could have a long line of points of interest that make the same sound and call that a wall. Just a thought if I'm interpreting the point of interest concept correctly. Thanks again. I am so tempted to say I need to hurry up and finish this paralegal degree program, but I know that comes first.

I remember jumping for joy when the Danger City trailer and concept demo came out a decade and a half ago, and then it fell through. It may be the right thing to do, but I'm not really certain that always, or most of the time, makes a difference. Not to get to OT, but you need look no further than the political arena to see whether people are bound by the right thing to do. Besides, for some weird reason I get the impression assholery hurts a bit more than praise helps, which is unfortunate, but that's been my observation anyway. No, not all blind people are assholes, but my experience is that too many of them are for my comfort level in any case. Liam's right...let's just let sleeping dogs lie and wait until next Thursday and see what's what.

I haven't found anyone playing in 2d mode yet, which is why I asked, but the cinematics are breathtaking. I think the main thing for me is if the contrast is high enough and the dialogue and menu text are big enough lettering and, in my case, can be made to be white on black. Good point about the platforming though. Might preorder it for XB1 maybe.

Unusual RPG question

Hey y'all:Has anyone played the Switch version of Dragon Quest XI S? I hear it has a 2d mode which might actually work well for me. If you've worked with it, how are things like the text size and window. There appear to be some accessibility features too, like screen brightness and the like. I've watched a couple of LP parts and it looks like a lot of fun. I read an article where they're porting it over to PS4 and XBOne this December. Thoughts??

Actually, I thought it was a thing that some game dev products made a big deal about being designed to making game design easy. Some "easy" dev tools have given rise to some great games from what I've heard. As for me, I promised I tried the scripting bit with BGT and BGT refused to accept my input even though it felt like I was doing everything the documentation told me to. Also, for me anyway, it was impossible to create game state functions for some reason, probably because I was too dense to grasp the fundamentals of functions in the first place. I just think it's kind of awesome there are programs out there for people who can't get their heads around coding, that's all.

Actually, what I'd like to see is something added to the documentation. I'm assuming that stats are very much mathematical in nature. For example, how much damage you deal in a given turn to an enemy is surely a function of things like attack power, defense power, strength, etc. I personally just want to know how to calculate those things. I don't know if I'm fully comfortable with scripting myself, but that's just my opinion.

I don't imagine anyone from SIE San Diego will see it, but in the off chance they do, I'd really love to see menu narration, high contrast, and increased rumble/vibration support in MLB 21: The Show, to say nothing of them porting it to the current generation of consoles if they decide to do that. Just venting right here...that's all.

Hi guys and gals:Does anyone know if rumble/vibration support happens in FIFA 20 or any installment with menu narration? I read about the accessibility and other settings on FIFA 20 and it looks quite intriguing. I'm wanting specifically to know if rumble/vibration happens when you are close to a player you can pass the ball to or someone you need to defend or if someone is about to shoot on goal either on offense or defense. I'm all in with Trinity although I only have an iPhone at the moment. I also like sports games like The Show and before long Madden as well because of the souped up audio and sliders and stuff. On a quasi-related note...how does one reach out to, say, SIE San Diego about seeing if they're going to port The Show to Xbox One, just as a suggestion. After all, this'll only be a launch year for Series X and PS5. I don't think most people will drop 3, 4, 500 bucks on a console, at least not for just one thing? I myself usually wait until the price comes down and then buy stuff when there's lots to choose from. And since The SHow has been PS exclusive all this time, I would really hope they'd give us earlier generation folks a chance.

As for the original topic, it occurs to me, I hope maybe the draft section is made accessible too, but, as stated, it's wait and see time. I'll definitely check out the deep dive. A little off the topic, didn't somebody post something about MLB The SHow having menu narration? That'd be neat, especially if they port The Show to Xbox 1, which they might do just for '21 since the transition to the next generation is happening late-ish this year.

I don't associate with really any blind communities like NFB or ACB because they're all the same, as far as my experience has taught me. I don't really have many blind friends because of exactly what you all guys are saying. Too many negative Nancy types in the blind community. When my grandmother told my mother I should be learning with blind people to be in a blind world, her response was that "he lives in a sighted world and should be with sighted people." My mom and I don't agree on everything, but I at least have to respect her for that.

I've felt access is a privilege for quite a long time. It's why I played video games so much first, because there wasn't much else in the late eighties and early to mid-nineties. EA or Naughty Dog or anyone else...they quite frankly don't owe us anything, do they? I want to agree with Liam that the accessibility will be added to for Madden 21, although I have nagging doubts at the back of my head too. Put it this way...I'd rather be happy than right at this point?

So I just wonder if making a derivative title is even acceptable in any case at this point. I have some bare bones ideas for a sequel to Lunar: SSSC, but they're too sketchy to thrust on everyone right now. I should also stress this won't start until my paralegal training is completed which will be awhile. As a teaser, my working title is "Lunar: Theater of the Infinite". Also, I personally intend to write a story that's true to the franchise and record my own music, having a background in it in fairness, and pay for sounds to use in game. I'm getting mixed signals on whether I should go forward with it, quite honestly. I would, of course, reach out to anyone who still owns the copyrights in North America, although that'll be tricky because Working Designs is long since defunct and I'm not sure how right reversion works. Okay, I'll stop rambling except to say that @18...your signature scares the crap out of me...and I thought I had self-esteem issues...unless, of course, it is meant in jest. To Fred, your theme is awfully dark, although I personally, until reading this thread, didn't have a problem with derivative works, and still don't but...the theme is too dark for me and the franchise as I understand it. As someone else pointed out, I think that's the one drawback of Manamon...sometimes the themes are a bit too mature.

As someone else pointed out, I think that's the one drawback of Manamon...sometimes the themes are a bit to mature.

As I said in another post, I just hope they add accessibility to the playbook(s). I wonder if Karen Stevens is still on the team over at EA. She's been a pioneer from everything I've been able to tell. I think I'm even more likely to pick up 21 than 20, since 20 had a lot making it worth playing. I watched a YouTube clip where someone used a so-called Madden button to force your team to choose the best play per situation. Would need to see what that was if I used an Xbox controller.

I think we are being too hard on Rory, indeed. That said, Rory, I would agree with one thing. Do like Aaron Baker and keep things close to your chest until you're ready to let 'em roll. That's what I'm doing. For those of you that don't remember, I'm training, at the graduate level I might add, to become a paralegal. If I weren't, I would have downloaded the Sable alpha when it dropped last month and worked on an idea I've got which would be a first in its own way. That said, because my degree program is roughly two years in length from January of 2020 to late 2021, don't expect anything for awhile. No details, no trailers, nothing. Know that I do have some ideas and hopefully they'll pan out, but they're pretty involved so I can't say what'll happen. Rory, just concentrate on school for now and keep your projects pretty much secret until you're ready to give them to us. Hang in there...this stuff isn't easy. Trust me...years of frustration with BGT have taught me an object lesson about that.

Hi friends:It just occurred to me...is there a way around the fact the playbooks aren't TTS enabled in Madden 20? I mean, they're different for each team, so I'd probably need help memorizing without more. Or are they generally similar in some way making memorization workable. I mainly ask because there's not been much accessibility news about Madden NFL 21 that I've heard. I dug around EA's website and didn't find anything beyond the game is on the way and stuff like that. Nothing from Karen Stevens either. Thoughts?

Actually, I think Ken Downey, if I remember correctly, made a breakout style game with it that worked okay. The engine is kinda clunky. I tried making my Blossom game with it and couldn't get very far. @6 AGM is nothing like BGT. It's an actual game development environment (GDE) whereas BGT is just a scripting language and some foundational things underlying it.

The nice thing with zap splat is that the sounds are free, but for a small monthly fee of like $4.00 or so, you get download unlimited files in a row. The sounds there are good...I've grabbed some stuff for the Blossom game I keep having false starts with. Which reminds me, if anyone's interested in helping with design, once I get my act together...

Hi, folks. Can anyhone point me to a post in this thread where a discussion of working with playbooks is had. When customizing one's playbook, can it be customized to mkae it easier to call a play in game if fewer plays are available? I'm not worried about micro-managing in game, but am really excited about giving this a try. I love the menu narration and message box narration, and will likely purchase a copy once the price for a PC copy comes down a bit. Any guidance would be received with joy and gladness.
