The idea is that you need to keep track of him while he's doing that. When he starts doing it, stop and wait for a bit. On the fourth teleport, He'll be near you for a second or so. It is during that second or so window that you need to line him up and get him in the face. This can take several tries to get right, and is actually easier in 360 degree mode.

The updated IF interpreters addon is available here. After some testing, I found that the addon is somewhat usable with braille, but has issues, most notably that the output will not actually read from the top. It will scroll to the bottom and you have to go back to read the game's output.

The truck will only move forward from a stopping position in first gear. Set it to first, and when the speed reaches 5, press a again to shift it into second gear, and when it reaches 10, press a again to shift it to third, and vice versa. Same goes for stopping the truck, press z to shift it down as you hit the brakes.

I watched the GitHub repository for any new changes. Someone opened an issue and later emailed the author and it eventually got ported. The port initially showed up as a Dropbox link somewhere but it was added to the main repository shortly after. Note that the repository includes all the addons Nick has written for NVDA in one, you can download the full archive here, and to convert them to packages that NVDA can install, you just need to go into an addon's directory, select all, then zip the files and rename the extension from .zip to .nvda-addon.

We took it off the archive for a reason. It's basically unplayable since it required online activation to even act as a demo, and since the servers are down, there's no way to play it, even if you bought the game in the past. If you want the installer, though, it's here.

No, BSC Games are written in Visual Basic. But nope, I'm pretty sure that this is safe, and the Autoit source code is included if you want to see exactly what it does. BSC Games being flagged by antivirus software is a rather consistent problem it seems, so much so that we had to encrypt Classic Pipe.

This is covered in more detail in the readme.txt file in Talking Dosbox, but basically you need to install com0com, add a virtual port pair and use one of the batch scripts to start the virtual Braille n Speak. Then you launch dosbox.exe and type "asap" to enable the ASAP screen reader.

I asked John about this since he would be the one to answer, and he said that we generally host modern games because if we didn't we may not have as much community impact as we could, since we've tended to be the source people go to when they can't find a game, though John said he hasn't come out specifically for or against hosting modern titles. Storage is not much of an issue for us, as Skynet is handling that, and our main costs are the domain name and bandwidth, which is why we've done our best to clamp down on bad actors recently.

Hi, just letting everyone know that the Google Safe Browsing issues plaguing the archive recently have been resolved, and people should be able to visit the site normally. We did manage to get a list of files being flagged, and it turns out Classic Pipe, Mason's Game Machine and Burak's Computer Simulator were the problematic files. To resolve the Safe Browsing issues without removing the content, we have converted them to encrypted 7-zip archives and have provided the password to decrypt them in the game's metadata, and of course after you've decrypted them you can store them however you want. We have added a section to the FAQ page about this as well. This seems to have resolved the Safe Browsing issues for now, though we may have to encrypt more files if anything else comes up. Also the fact that this worked proves that humans are probably not looking at review requests.

Though while I was searching, I came across a Google troubleshooter meant to check if a site has been hacked, and if you're sure your site is safe is suppose to allow you to send reconsideration requests through their forums. I'm suspicious that we might just get an automated response, though it's probably worth a try. The article has been sent to John.

We're using HTTPS, unfortunately the problem is that the site is being flagged by Google as unsafe, possibly because a lot of the games we host are flagged as false positives by antivirus software. Not sure what we can do about it unfortunately.

Have you ever accidentally discovered a cheat or easter egg in a game?

Subject says it all. Have you ever accidentally discovered an easter egg or cheat in a game without getting a list of codes after you beat it or consulting a guide? In my case, I once discovered the evade blades forever cheat in Battle Zone, though I'm not quite sure how I did. I also accidentally discovered the interesting trash can messages in Blast Chamber, and an undocumented command to disable tutorial pauses in Rhythm Rage.

You just shoot him. He'll throw up a force field that will keep you from shooting him for a while, indicated by a humming sound, and you have to wait for it to turn off to get another shot at him. Don't go up to him, otherwise you'll die. Liam, didn't know that was a glitch :). I thought that was suppose to be a secret when I first found it. I wonder what caused it?

X1? Jump away when the laser stops over you, it will always follow you and you need to get away from it before it shoots you. Make sure to avoid the holes while you jump.SPOILERThere is also a place on one of the platforms where the laser won't hit you.

What's with this hallmark of many early 2000s audio games?

One thing I noticed that many audio games from the early 2000s have in common, think BSC Games and early LWorks titles, is that sound seems to always stop playing when you leave the window. I wonder why this is?

Press f12 in the town to speed up combat. Unfortunately the game does crash if you leave the window and I'm not aware of a solution for that.

You may want to try this addon instead, it's the more modern version of the Frotz addon and has support for some other interpreters as well. A Frotz module is included.

The Audiogames Archive has it, but only the SAPI 4 version, the update seems to be rather hard to track down.
