Hmm, that is probably because cumpas tells you that your general direction is northwest, which doesnt mean you are facing straight northwest. so, 1 could be facing a bit diferent degrees than the other person so for the other person, first one is walking right ... Hello,chrisfaelnar, when you combine fish and knife fish goes away from your hand after combining (logicly). so you have an empty hand and a knife. combining hand and knife hurts you (if knife is sharper then even more). I think that is your problem. Thats why its better to have knife with 0 sharpness and a spear and hammer for fighting.Sam, I love this tracking sistem. Sometimes it showes invinsible items (probably from other maps?), and if you look at someone, you can press k and track something near them and see how close are they (is that intentional?).I like you trying to make it not-importent to what direction you are turned, but when Im lost I allways try to find a straight direction (it seams its not imposible, just verry hard), because if Im not turned to straight direction, items that clearly shud be straight behind or infrunt are slightly to the left or right, never straight infrunt, even if they are. That isnt exact ly problematic, that just means Ill allways stick to straight directions (N, S, E, W) and combinations.And now Ill end toarchering with long post, heh. And its as folows:After 1 surver restart, I relised that no mather what I put in say comand, my TTS would not say anything. So I tried changing the TTS, but got an BGT error (Im sorry, forgot to copie it ... really sorry). Then, 1 of my friends sogested to remuve Setings.dat, to remuve all setings. So I did that. When I started the game back up, it gave me a note that no setings are set and that I shud set some in options menu. That wouldnt be a problem, but all I got was that note, nothing else. My screenreader just read it, and program didnt even start up.After that I first delited the game and then went to delit all folders that were left behind (STW folder in Apdata, Roaming and Sam Tupy folder still containing STW.exe in program files). I then downloaded the newest version from the first post on this site.After that I really hoped all Will be fixed, but the same problem that I had before also acured now ... I still cant start the game.Shortstorry: dont mess with STW, if it doesnt work, dont make it not work more. ... heh ...Anyway ... @SamTupy ... how to get my game back? Anyway, soon sidestepping Will lower your energy much more for some reasen so you wouldnt be able to just stay turned north all the time. It basicly sends a message log on or log off, you Will die, anyway! when you are hurt, you sit down, and when your helth is lower, you cant run, especially with high thirst and hunger wich go up much to fast. theres also a new bug that sometimes randemly logs you off. I dont know if thats your bug or hacking, but it really is anoying. If you want to make this game realistic, why are rockgun, revolver, bullets, metal and map pages there? well, you can make a slingshot yourself, but revolver and bullets arent realistic at all. If that is a bug or intentional, I dont know. And me and 1 more friend discuvered that, if you are looking someone, and he tipes /untrust yourname, you dont automaticly stop looking. Nothing mager, but still.But theres a anoying bug in rocky spring. allways when you go to it, log off and back on, you end in the air under rocks, on the most east part of map. you can walk in air, so you can go north and then west, but it is verry anoying. When I loged back on I was, it seams, in ear. on my left (west) there are 2 steps of stone, then water ... I can move in the air, away from water sound, but I cant climb rocks ... When hour is 12 a.m sun shod be right behind you. If it is, then you are facing north.Shift+aeros still Works. It just doesnt tell you what diretcion you are facing now. So I recomend you to not turn around. Its good to allways know what direction you are facing, so you know where north is. When someone wants to kill me I usually run away like a cowerd ... sometimes when I have low energy or high hunger or thirst I even log off. Some people just want to play other aspects of the game without constantly being killed by players that are better in killing than they are and needing to get their stuf back. And if you constantly try to kill people that dont want to be killed, then theyll go away from this game. If you know just hour, not date, then its nearly usles especially at diferent thimes of year when you must change your hour (summer, winter). I dont know how would you craft compas without something magnetic ... I was thinking that you got it where you got the radio: on the ship. but if we could somehow get a magnet, then that would be posible.And when Sam (ih he Will) adds summer, autum, winter and spring, sun Will be a bit irelevant, because sun isnt always positiond the same way all the year. Most players have probably seen me loged in 100 times, hahaha.I agree with you about GPS, because GPS is usles in the wild. But, syns you have knife, lighter, radio and watch in your inventory, having compas wotnt be even slightly strange. Sun is problematic, because watches usually ar buggy. You check first time and it says 10:100 a.m., but when you check after fiew minuts it says 10:50 p.m. Sins f showed us where north is before you implemented sun, we actually already had compas.but those are all just my own ideas and you are the developer. And whatever you do, dont stop impruving this game, because its really nice!
