Hello.I stumbled upon an interesting looking MUD called Iberia today, and just wanted to share it.brief summary from tmc,After the end of the Punic Wars in the third century BC, Rome focused all its strength on conquering the Iberian Peninsula. Initially, the invasion was successful and Rome conquered most of the peninsula with relative ease.Led by Consul Servius Sulpicius Galba, Roman troops proceeded to eliminate the last remnants of the Lusitan resistance. Fearing the destruction of their lands, the Lusitans sent an emissary to Consul Galba requesting an armistice. Galba obliged, suspending the Roman offensive and promising to leave the remainder of the peninsula to the Lusitanians.As it turned out, Galba had lied. When the Lusitanians attempted to claim the lands they were promised, Galba's army was waiting for them. The unarmed Lusitanians were killed in massive numbers. A man named Viriathus was among the few who managed to escape the massacre.After losing such a substantial amount of troops, Lusitanian military leaders were prepared to negotiate a new treaty with their enemies. Viriathus, however, hadn't forgotten Galba's treachery. Instead of a treaty, he suggested a counteroffensive. It might be a little too far off for me though, I'm still in the starting city and a newbieSorry, I don't really have much info, but think this might be fun if it were to be populated, though I could always be wrong and there be some mecanics that wouldn't be liked by some.Personally, I like most of the mecanics here. The game however needs player interaction because you can't just master every single skill, you are limited in what you can learn, I assume to premote player interaction.Anyhow, if Any of you do decide to try this out, I'm a cantabrian by the name of Joarn.Another note, upon entry make sure to try at least one of the tutorials, they have an interesting quest. you get to actually kind of control an army against Romans, or against us I think if your on the aposing side.Keep in mind this game is made by PORTUGUESE devs. Therefore, english can be a bit clunky. but it's not a major issue. to use out of character communications, it is the symbol ^(shift plus number six for me) message.edit, Oh sorry, I forgot to give connection info. iberia.jdai.pt5900

ah, looking at news, the game is still under development, despite the lack of players now. Last update is in february 22th, 2021. There were also a few updates before that, one at february 15th and disember 25th 2020. Still wandering around, have been kind of hesitant to explore outside of the city but will try it anyway. Seen a few roman armies around, but can't do anything now because I don't have one of my own. heh.Also, I have discoverd that there is more depth to the game than I originally thought, e.g when fighting in the winter or at night with armies, it will be much harderalso discoverd that while players have rp ing tools at their disposal, they don't have to, so updating information in post 1. The admin is still active, so if you do play this and have a suggestion bug, mudmail it to him(help mail)Anyway, hope there will be some rp, the mecanics there are pretty interesting to use with roleplay, but no problem if there's none since this is not inforced.

the thing is, Tunmi is switching servers without even telling us why. Dyllen's server wasn't pretty bad, but nope. Hey guys, So I'm making a decision you won't like.I'm switching to a new server.and whoosh. The server is laggy, enemies move unnaturally fast do to the lag, and stuff takes a few second to happenplease test servers out privately before changing, thank youedit, and meatbag, while granny Cheese wheel's post might have seemed like advertisements, they are at least true. Lag is minimal in SBYW, and yes perhaps that's because it is not a fighting game needing to play distant weapon firing sounds, your sounds on top of that, and whatever else

this game is not worth playing if tunmi does not fix the lag.I get killed 2 times in a roe while in the safe zone because of the f*king lag and this is basically not worth it until that lag is fixed. it's not even playable when there's 10 players online each firing burst rifles and who knows what else

masonasons,could you consider adding or remaking this feature into the game?So, at level 3 to 4, enemies will start having pocket pistols which deal little damage but can cause a small amount of bleeding. this means, every 3 to 5 seconds, 2 points of health will be dropped from the target until an antibiotic is used.from 5 to 6 they will have swords which deal a medium amount of bleeding, 2 points of health every 2 seconds.and from the rest on, I think there are still enemies, there are machinegun wielding enemies. the machinegun isn't a large one, so it'll fire rapidly and a wide spread, it can miss the player and land next to them or before them, if the enemy detects that its bullet has hit the player it will keep firing at that position for a while. perhaps you could add small like boulders or something the enemies can shoot until it explodes and the players can hide behind to heal, before the chase is back on. thanks

Mason,first, enemies can walk through blades and forcefields and possibly fires.second, if a bomb drops on a helicopter or enemy it should probably get hurt or die?third, can you add rocks as ranged weapons? small rocks will deal from 10 to 20 dammage, and large ones will do 30 to 60, since rocks hurt if you throw them very hard.

lmho. I made a horsey. It went in a very unhorselike charge. also maybe you could remove the street boundary? first it's overused,  and second you can just make it from -60 to 60 if you dont want to remove it. Btw, maybe you'd consider replacing the spikes with something like. rocks or something, it makes 0 percent sense for spikes to be in the street

rofl it'd be amuzing if you made enemies be able to throw each other. so you'd make each enemy stand like 2 steps away from each other, then they'd go crazy kicking and punching. and enemy might fall down back about 8 feet, and the attacking enemy will move over to it and punch it. but yeah probably can't happen since the sounds wouldn't quite suit that.

well, you sure are working hard on this thing, .and figured that it happend because I had my iwndows defender on. though the weird thing is it never deleted the sounds, and the behavior I just described commonly happens when sounds.dat is deleted.also, can you make cars a bit, like just a bit, slower? or maybe they can shoot fellow cars down? I mean either their moving speed or their machineguns. this is because I'm getting wrecked, can't go through level 2 without being shot a bit with no antibiotics. . also If I'm not mistaken, when you let 2 enemies kill eachother, they will hit each other very fast. it's either their fists firing at different times making it a rapid thing, or one enemy fires really fast, like every quarter of a scond. when the dead enemy falls, the enemy who just killed it will also keep firing until their corpses fall to the ground.

I would be pretty disapointed if it were pay to win. I like the game pretty much and don't want to have some guy who just payed 100 dollars to become some high ranking guy boss me around or something.

So this mud is rather cool with a pretty interactive storyline in the begining that'll make you feel like you're playing with a human. If you don't think about them being all npcs.Anyways, it is a space mud from ironrealms with 5 classes and. above 5 races(forgot the exact number.) Each class is actually pretty different, e.g, with an engineer class you build your own tools such as bots that patrol through set rooms or bombs, tripwires etcetera, a b e a s t class(BioInterfacing Exoskeletal Assault Suit Tech/Technician ,depending on whether you're referring to the suit or the operator. These are shock troops that seek to overwhelm their opponents with a panoply of weapons and the enhanced strength granted to them by their suits.The three BEAST class skills are MWP (Mobile Weapons Platform), Plasmacasting, and Suittech.etcetera.All of the races also have a backstory, rituals, way of birth, life expentincies etcetera.IMO, the mud is pretty cool, I liked the tutorial, and I  definately like the ground more than the space. The cool thing is you don't have to touch space if you don't want to from what I've heard. The maximum members I've seen online is 10, but the help is coolconnection info, www.starmourn.com23edit, I also forgot to mention it is an rp mud.

yes I just started a character but meh. I might have been too quick to leave but I really got 0 help anywhere. Igot a quest and asked multiple times for how to look for a quest monster in the map, but I always got ignored and I would probably have been still ignored after a min later so I just left. just putting my experience out there.

I sort of do agree with #39, We need more content. Sure the mecanics right now are sort of flexable, new puzzls and all that but we need more features. more interesting things. we've seen platforms and srcs and doors and stairs and walls and etcetera, we need more things to add to our maps.

I left.I've been playing cosmic rage for a year and 9 months about now, and it was(is) a good game(that's proven by the time, since I've never bothered playing a mud more than a month or 2 then forgetting it. )However, there are a couple problems which I couldn't ignore, which is why I left in the first place.Help. The main reason I left, is the fact that help comes only 50 percent of the time,  being replaced with silence. I don't think people should know every single thing about the game, but that's saying something, because they have (capable) (helpful) newbie helpers and a bunch of high ranked people which are supposed to have experience, seeing as they got to this rank.before you go on a rant about how everyone's not helping me because they must but because they can, please hold it. There were 55 people in the game at the time, including me. I asked on chat, newbie, and ooc, 3 channels which nearly everyone connected to, and what did I get? silence.here's the situation. I had just spent an hour, maybe 2 don't remember, gathering resources for a megasuit. First I had to gather tritanium chunks which I did after about 30 minutes and a bunch of failures, then I had to kill some vacus for heads. then I bought 10 thousand cargo plates (1 pack equal 1 thousand)I was very happy after finishing the quests and getting the modules. when I went to put them into my megasuit, I couldn't build it for some reason after that. Asking yielded 0 results. at least 15 to 20 of these people must have built a megasuit or seen friends build it, but no one answered. I waited about 5 minutes and asked again. and silence. so I waited for the third and final time and asked, this one a brief amount because I was running out of pacience.I got silence. So I started to leave. first talked to some people, asked why newbie helpers were selected by stuff like what they'd helped newbies out with the last time instead of hiring by experience. etcetera, and instantly I got banned from newbie. I wasn't really mad at that, but I sort of grew mad when a newbie helper asked me what I needed help with. right after I got banned. just explaining my situation. I hope who play have a better experience.

eh? I agree with #397. You just won't be able to maintain 2d or 3d bs, and while you may be able it's just not going to be fun. Also. There is tk, rs, stw, etcetera games that are online and 3d, while stw might not  be figting based I'm still envolving it cuz there's a pk system. But yeah I've just left the game because of the fact that there is no updater and I can't log in when unnecessary updates come in. Have fun.btw, sidescroller games can be pretty fun. just because a couple o other online games had sidescroller doesn't mean they can't be better than the rest

#18, just my opinions,1, the objects disappearing is perfectly fine with me, because it'll let you hear the next object if it's particularly close. And it just sorta feels right. Shrug. mayb an option2, I mean. why would jumping further or closer away from the object matter?  at high speeds, it'd probably make most people leave(impacient ones) and make it unnecessarily harder. I mean I don't really care how close or far I jump, as long as I make it it's goodand the s key is used to check score.

I just got a high score of 30 in Challenge of the Horse using my male Chestnut-colored horse named Shadow! You can get it from: http://tunmi13.dev/projects/coth.zipLol it's a pretty good game, and from speed 290? or 300? to 230 it sounds still natural and not like you've increased the pitch, ALthough it is rather weird when the sound of an object disappears as soon as I pass it or jump through it, although this isn't a pretty bad thing and I like it.

oh holy shite!first, the game is not 1 bit in english.second of all, you get a bunch of echoing, deep voiced, loud people yelling ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha HA HA! when you can't hear anything over the music as well blending in! over that, you get a bunch of dialog boxes when ever ou press c, h, g, e, or other keys, and you don't know how to fight.what key to use?

hello everyone, welcome to the path of a runner.so basically, you just jump and duck, oh and you have to fire a weapon, set mines for robots, avoid starships by diving to one side.keys, left right move around, up jump, down duck.well, there's like 10 other keys I've not docummented but that's alright that's alright, you can figure them out.goodbye.

when you set a npk(non physical key) for an npc death, and when you assign it to the npc, or enemy, let's say, it shows, for example, cujo death in the items list. which is unfortunate.

a few suggestions,1, make it so that you can set the walking speed of the player from 1 set of coordinates to another. example,water from x1 to x20. player wants to make it so that the player would walk, or rather swim slowly from x1 to 20. or something similar.2, to change battle music volume from inside a battle. maybe the page up and down keys since they don't have a purpose other than skipping a bunch of menu items. shrug3, maybe remove unsellable items from the sell menu after  you get them?4, if item's value is 0 gold it will not be displayed from a merchant. or just make them nonsellable / nonaddable from the gamemaker.Also, the register key didn't work after a few hours of me adding it. ran it 3 times and it gave me error that the key was invalid, though now it's resolved.other than that, great engine.

that and, you get hungry and thirsty very quickly. in about 5 minutes you could die from hunger or thirst which isn't pretty realistic. Also most time when I fire the bow it doesn't hit the animal I'm looking for. I also think that the animals deal far, far too much dammage.

perhaps you could add the idiots ducking, jumping and diving to another x when being shot at? though it obviously wouldn't be efective most of the time since they might just not be fast enough.
