Picture Coke as the left and Pepsi as the right. right now both of those businesses make it hard for a smaller food or soft drink company to exist. They exist, but they have to work hard to get their products to the consumers, a lot harder then Pepsi and Coke. The American system is like that. The democrats and the republicans now both hold the country, and the other parties have to work a thousand times harder to get to the people. coke and Pepsi hold 75% of the snack and drink market while the democrats and republicans hold 100% of the country. I believe they call it a duopoly. The main issue isn't whether your Republican or Democrat, it is the fact that they both control everything. It is for show that they are against one another. A democrat will always vote democratic and a republican will always vote republican. Mean while the people in the middle are like bouncy balls, they go with whomever they think is the lesser of 2 evils. In this country you don't run on your own merits because those who run can hide behind the party and do what they please. I believe that those in office should have to prove that they are the right person for the job and that they are in it not for themselves but for the country and its people. I know many who chose a party because they are 1 issue voters and I believe that in itself is a huge problem when it comes to choosing those who are suppose to represent us. That alone is not the only reason though; their is much more that affects that decision. Re: what are your opinions about guide dogs? Both the cane and a dog have their pros and conns. I myself had a guide dog for about 10 years. My experience was fantastic as I applied both the dogs abilities and the abilities of my own with a cane while traveling. I used the dog for the majority of my travels and implemented the cane when I got closer to my destination to detect landmarks that the dog would normally go passed. On top of being a great tool for traveling, my pup also made a wond wonderful companion and friend. When the dog was not working, the harness came off and he became a pup and did what pups do best. Cuddle, play, and relaxed like no other. You and the dog are a team once your feet hit the pavement, and you and the dog must work together to accomplish your travels. It is not up to the dog to read your mind and take you where you want to go. Show the dog your routest, your way of travel and eventually you and the dog will almost think as one when it comes to traveling. I am not sure how to fully explain that last part as weird as it sounds, but its the only way I can put it in to words. And as for lumps, either stir by hand untill the mixture feels like their is no resistance, or toss it in a mixer and use that, it will tike way less time to unlump all your stuff. Re: questions for Mac Their are pros and cons for using either a vm or boot camp. For one, if you use a vm, you can have both systems running at once, and can do what you do on mac while playing a game on windows. However when I used VMware, I had trouble reading my external drive on the windows side of the fucker, so gave up on that. Hopefully they fixed that. If you just like windows, you can do it via bootcamp and not worry about mac OS. I usually put baking soda in the toilet and then put in the vinigure and use the toilet brush to scrub the inside of the toilet. Let that sit for a while and then flush the vinigure and baking soda mixture down the toilet. let the back tahnk fill again and flush again. Those things also work for clogged toilets, and so does hot water if the clog is bad. A plunger is a good thing to have. Make sure you get ta toilet one and a sink one. The toilet ones have a thing in the middle, while the sink ones do not. Never say never when it comes to something like that. I once new a guy who didn't think he needed one, and when the situation arose for a plunger, he was not a happy dude. I believe my brother had to come and help him out. deep fried or air fried So earlier random shit was going through my thoughts and one of those things happened to be. deep fried verces air fried foods. Since I started this topic I will say that my favorite way to eat food that is suppose to be crunchy, unhealthy, and coated in breading is to pop it in a vat of oil, or well an actual deep fryer. I tried the air fryer way, and found that many of the foods didn't get that lovely crunchyness that you get with a deep fryer. The food also seemed dry, and lacked flavor. And some foods like zukini and mushrooms tasted slimy. However, i do know that this is just my personal experience, and I am intrested in what you all like. I know the air fryer is suppose to be healthyer, but come on, it almost seems laughable. the only unhealthy thing you lack in that is the oil, the rest of the ingredience is for said deep fried foods is still the same. The remote is very simple. 1 button on the top right 2 rows of 3, the up, down, left, right, and enter circle, and then a row of 2 buttons containing the volume up, down, and mute, and the chanel button containing the channel up, down, and enter i believe, then a row of 3 buttons below. The accessability on it is fantastic. You can navigate every menu with ease, the speach rate is adjustable, however, as for the apps beeing accessable with the tv screen software itself, , it all depends on the app devs. I should check out netflix, hulu, and prime video and see how well they work. I have an apple tv 4th gen hooked up to it and that surves well for netflix and all those video streaming apps. Re: family/future. Need advice I would recomend going to Blind Inc, a training centre that has the backing of the NFB. My lady went to that, and she enjoyed the program. She didn't benifit from all the classes because she already knew what she needed to do to survive, but the ones she did benifit from, she left the centre with many new tricks, and lessons learned. And now she is way more confident in herself. Their is another centre in Maryland, and another IN Louisiana I believe. I would check out their websites, and then once you have chosen the one you want, get intouch with your state agency that helps the blind get the required funds to go to such places. I hope things go well for you. And remember as a blind person family is the ones you have to prove yourself 1000 times over and over again beore they can see that you will be fine on your own. And if they don't ever understand that then shame on them, if they are not willing to help you become who you want to be, show how to survive on your own then shame on them again. Re: Trying to get on my feet independently Hmmm, its good that you have the motivation that you would like to be on your own, that is very important. Now you have to decide where you want to live, how close to your family you want to be, and what type of transportation your area has to offer. Is your town a small town, does it have sidewalks through out the town, or is it mostly large lawns that take the place of the sidewalks before the street is met with the curbe. From my personal experience, i lived in the country, so right their you get no sidewalk, and no lawn filled curbes. Instead you get lawns, and then the roads. So then i looked at the nearest town, and new that their is sidewalks throughout the town, but not much public transportaion transportation, unless you count a county bus. Then i looked in to the biggest city near that town and found that it had a public bus system, a smaller bus system that took you door to door, and the same county bus from the outer town went in to the big city. I myself required a lot of public .transportation, so i chose to go in to the big city. Then i looked for a place that was afordable to me, and from their i started looking for work while paying for my rent and stuff i needed with SSI and with the assistants of food stamps. And before anyone jumps down my throat about SSI, let me say this. Do not be ashaimed of using it,, it is provided for those very reasons. Also keep in mind if you feel bad about using SSI, don't because you will eventually find your way out if you try. NOt sure if this will help, and sorry for it sounding super ranty. I would go for another large drive and set that one away after you fill it with what you need and only bring it up for updating the data and replacing the your main exturnal if the main one decides to take a dive.
