Winglulx with NVDA?

Hi,So I felt the need for some kirkerkrupe, so reinstalled glulx and the add-on for it so that NVDA would speek the text coming through.I've hit an issue though.while I can review through the text fine with the numpad, especially now I've disabled panels, Whenever I hit enter after performing an action it starts reading the text from way, way back.for instance, it'll read from the introduction text for a while, then move on to the first room.I know I can just review the text, but its quite annoying having to constantly scroll down to the bottom because its reading me information from the beginning of the game.Any help would be appreciated.I'm sure I never had this issue before, and in the help menu, it reads that just fine.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=166446#p166446

Well I've got jaws at the moment and definitely would love to buy the game.one question is, is everything labelled now? Hi,So I finally decided to pick up smugglers 5 after trying the demo, and while I'm loving it so far, I've got a couple questions for now, one of which might cripple me later if not resolved.Firstly, where exactly do you put your name in the char creation screen?secondly and more importantly, i'm having issues in the combat screen, where I can read my skills when arrowing down but can't get to some of them such as ace no matter how I try to move around the screen.I know people have had success using this game with jaws, so I wonder how to get around this, for if its having issues showing all the skills at the start of the game, god knows what'll happen later.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=154595#p154595

Hi,Well after having many frustrations with jaws, I decided to give nvda with its review cursor another shot.Not expecting much, I was surprised when it actually read the screen somewhat better than jaws.I've created a character, flown to systems, and just had my first combat without having any of the issues jaws had with not finding skill buttons.Just thought you all should know.on another note, what does the ability ace require? Hi,Sorry for the delay in responding, still not gotten my net issue resolved.Well what you need to do is to use NVDA's screen review mode, which you would get to by pressing nvda +numpad 7 if you use the desktop layout.  After that, use numpad 7, 9, 4 6, 1 and 3 to move by line, word or letter respectively.when you want to click on something, hit nvda + numpad divide to move the mouse to whevrever you want, then click or double click numpad devide itself.right click is the same accept to click you'd hit numpad multiply which is next to divide.If you get to a point where for example a continue button isn't appearing or you're not getting the full contents of a window, hit nvda + numpad divide.  that should fix it.  Have fun!I'm still surprised how pretty much flawless this works.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtop

hi,what is your nvda version? it sounds like you're not using the up-to date one where screen /mouse navigation has been changed dramatically for the betterme,I go into smugglers, hit nvda + numpad 7 on the desktop layout and it all works fine.  just use a combination of the mouse navigation keys and its smooth sailing.  I really should put an article up about this sometime.  I wrote how to do it the other week in a similar topicURL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=156000#p156000

I'M USING A PS3.  MY TV MAKES IT PRETTY MUCH IMPOSSIBLE TO HEAR PUNCHES AND SUCH DUE TO THE CROUD, but WWE13 does seem a lot more accessible than 12, as there's more vibration cues.  any idea on when or how long to hold the square button down when being pinned to have a chance of kicking out?  sorry for all the questions, its been a while since I played, I like 2011 but I can't unlock any of the legends and have gotten everyone else.  maybe I just suck?   any tips you have for 13 would be greatly appreciated. might see if there is a move list anywhere.  I love those as its nice to know what moves i'm performing, as I like to visualise matches in my head.
