Personally I rather liked the voice acting, admitedly wade sounds a bit older than thirteen but hay, and crouch was wonderfully villainous and dramatic, it matched the scene quite well. I take the point about the horses, but I'm afraid I don't agree about revolvers there. I'm no expert on guns, but when I've heard replica weapons fire, they've very much had that loud, percussive bang! rather than the more modern, metallic sound, so that was okay with me. I do agree about turning, I'd also like to see some points of the game where you get a bit more free exploration, rather than just having to navigate in first person through a short area just to progress to the next scene. I also quite liked the duel and in game combat, although it did get a trifle easy once I worked out that you needed to hold down until the bad guys where't shooting, then hit the arrow in the direction, and wait before hitting spacebar to shoot, indeed this was the only point in the demo I really had trouble, and that only for working out the rhythm of when to press keys and when to hold down. I hope in game combat in the actual game gets a bit more involved. indeed, whilst I liked a lot of this on a basic level, I am a little concerned that we'll be seeing another typical audio adventure game like terraformers, echoes of livia, HEARtREAD or a blind legend, IE a first person audio adventure with great voice acting and atmosphere, but not much in terms of exploration, replayability or difficulty. Re: A Western Drama - German demo Hi.Multiple things here.Firstly a short review of the translation of the game and the new mechanics.I gotta be honest, I quite like the German translation, it's pritty much on point, the actors are also pritty good, the only thing that was abit strange for me was that crouch was given an eastern european accent. I would suppose this was done to show that he's the bad guy in the game, but in my opinion this sorta breaks the atmosphere of the game if you suddenly hear a dude with an eastern european accent where you wouldn't expect him.Now the new mechanics.The hole movement feels more responsive, walking forward doesn't take again about a second to react which is quite neat, the only thing I would improve is the reaction speed regarding turning because it still takes to much time when you are walking forward and quickly want to turn, it still takes about a second before and after the turning sound has played, this could be improved so turning is more fluet and you just can walk and quickly turn to adjust where you're going.My critique about some sounds still stand, the revolvers don't sound like revolvers at all, the atmosphere in the riding scene still has the ocasional car driving by, and the horses don't sound like horses you would expect a bounty hunter to have, as i said in the last post regarding the game, these sound like draft horses and not riding horses which should be quicker and lighter on their feet, pritty obvious during the trotting parts of the scene.Generally speaking though, it's a good little game and I'm curious what else will come around.Greetings Moritz.
