At present, what I know about droids is exceptionally limited and gleamed from my own playing around with the thing, which isn't much. By comparison, I knew a lot about my first iPhone before I even got it, thanks to so many resources; not just applevis. Long story short, I had a major apache / certbot fuckup which resulted in my apache install somehow becoming corrupted to the point where the service wouldn't even start and reinstalling wouldn't fix it. I've switched to QS hosting for web things now, but we'll need to start from scratch. This would probably be a good time to get the thing on discourse.The reason I hadn't said anything sooner is because quite frankly, I wasn't even sure if the interest was still there, the old forum went very, very dead in the weeks prior to the little website crash. I've also been rather busy with exams and revision for those, so haven't been able to dedicate much time towards getting this thing back up and running. It will happen though, just give me some time.Btw, and I wouldn't normally ask these things on here but, if we really want this thing to take off it will definitely need a domain of some description. I'm not earning money right now, and I really can't afford to burn through what I have. If you'd like to see this thing on a proper domain, help me out by sending some money over. I have learnt a lot about myself even in the past few months though, particularly my level of self control and the situations I am and am not aquipped to deal with.The main reason I started this, though, was because I remember when I first started diving into the relm of android. I figured out the basics pretty quickly, but finding apps? Games? Most of my work there was spent doing random little searches in the hope that the small android contingent of this forum had said anything I might find worth while. We can do a lot better than this. The existing mailing lists are great, but well, they're mailing lists. Their very nature makes them decentralised for the most part, and while services such as google groups etc do keep archives, actually searching for specific things is, well, yeah. Never mind. Sadly, like a lot of android resources for the blind, it has pretty much fallen into disuse. I would like to fix that.As previously mentioned, inclusive android was, first and foremost, a wiki. You had guides, resources and things, but beyond possibly comments, there wasn't much of a community there. I'd like to have something that can do both.At droid talks, the community will literally be responsible for the thing staying alive, particularly as submissions of apps, games, etc are concerned, since here it is very much possible for users to make submissions, provided they stick to the guidelines found in the rules. These will of course be heavily monitored in case of abuse. We'll also be in need of mods, I'll see about creating a topic where users can apply when I'm done writing this post.Once again, I'd like to stress that this should 100% not be considered stable. This is more a test of sorts, to see how it initially kicks off. Comments, suggestions, etc are of course welcome.Regards,Haily.
