I have the "kitty edition", which has cat ears bolted to it which is quite cute. it also has a feature that would interest sited twitch users: the cat ears have a led that reacts to twitch activity. they light up whenever you get a twitch alert or while you're streamig. And the microphone by wireless standards is definitely above average, but the sound qulity is probably the bigger selling point. For the most part going on Amazon and buying something with good reviews is the best you can do.Also with respect to gaming headphones, I've had a few pairs. And the thing is, you can get good sound, microphone, or wireless, pick 2. I've never seen pick 3. Plus the virtual surround sound usually sucks.Bose is okay. Overpriced for what they are but the lightest headphones I've ever owned. Sennheiser is very good. Audeze is amazing if you can afford it; I could because there was a half-off sale of one of their lower end models, then I dropped them, and discovered that Audeze is also incredibly, incredibly fragile. But all of that is at least $100. I also have a gaming set for the Xbox, which was $150.Features you may or may not see include: Virtual surround sound, EQ presets with possibility to edit on an app or PC, mappable buttons, RGB LED lighting, a microphone, active noise cancellation and a mode where all the highs are boosted to let you hear footsteps better. It'll sound boomy or tinny on your ears, and will probably come with a mic, which you'll end up paying for and which probably won't give great sound quality.If you need the headphones for communication in gaming, then you may be stuck with a gaming pair. I have no specific recommendations though.If you just want them for playing games where you don't have to talk to anyone, my recommendation is to get a cheap pair of regular headphones and call it good.
