Re: Icecast questions How you obtain Icecast depends on how you're going to be hosting the server. If you're running a Linux distro, use apt-get icecast2 to install it. YOu will then configure the server and then can modify the config file at /etc/icecast2/icecast.xml. Re: Icecast questions Hi chris,In regards to 3, IceCast generally only serves intros as static files. These can include ads, etc. If you'd like to serve static files, they will need to be streamed, either via a windows client like RadioCaster or EdCast, or via a Linux client like LiquidSoap.Hope this helps! Re: Icecast questions hello1 i think this can be done by Enabling icecast-kh encryption, though i'm not sure how that workes2 that can be done from the config file for icecast, note, make a back up for the file, editing the config file can be quite tricky. Icecast questions Hello all,I have a couple of Icecast questions. Here they are in no particular order.1. How do I encrypt all Icecast streams using https?2. How do I add another source? For example, how would I set it up to stream with a different username and password if I wanted to let someone else stream to the server without giving out the regular source username and password?3. Is it possible for Icecast to serve static files? I read about this somewhere, but I thought the primary purpose of Icecast was to stream audio from a streamer to the server and then to connected clients.
