Re: Mortal Kombat 11 accessibility

All right, thanks for the great info, guys. I do have DS4Windows already, actually, so that should be all good. Sorry, I had no idea there was a main MK11 topic. Hadn't looked around the various topics lately.Lukas

Re: Mortal Kombat 11 accessibility

I say go for it. The menus are spoken, and so are the characters when you pick them. Just know that 11 is a much different game than deadly alliance.

Re: Mortal Kombat 11 accessibility

Oh. Sorry for double posting, but I just found a guide on the web describing how to set up the DualShock 4 with Steam, and it says you have to launch the Steam client and navigate the UI for a while until you get to where you can enable the support for that controller. So, can anyone tell me if that can be done with NVDA in one way or another? I do expect it to be pretty cumbersome, cause Steam, you know. :-)Thanks a lot in advance,Lukas

Mortal Kombat 11 accessibility

Mortal Kombat 11 accessibility

Hey guys, because of The Last of Us 2, I forced myself to set aside more time for gaming, and my interest in mainstream games got reborn. I also managed to get Steam set up previously, because of AudioWizards. Now, besides purchasing TLOU 2 for the PS, I also got my brother the PS version of Mortal KOmbat 11 for his name day. Now, the question is, is it worth getting the game for myself for the PC as well? The technical side of buying and installing it through Steam shouldn't be an issue for me any more. I do have a PS 4 controller as well as an Xbox ONe controller, so that should be fine too. Do the menus work with NVDA's OCR well enough, though, so that I can choose game modes, characters and stages reliably, set my options and the like? I don't really care about the crypt and possible mini games or what other stuff there might be. The last MK game I've had personal experience with was Deadly Alliance on the PS 2, so I have no clue how much further the franchise has advanced since then. But I would love to be able to play the game for myself, on my own hardware, in my own time, to know who I am playing as and fighting against, in which stage and in which mode, and possibly to be able to learn the move lists, although that part can be done on the web - I'm sure there are many sites featuring the move lists.Any tips and tricks on circumventing the UI and making it more learnable, perhaps? Thanks,Lukas
