Re: Help with laptop hello.the problem with the down arrow is because there is some kind of gelatinous plastic under the key, and it made so it can act like a spring and go to it's prier shape when the key is released, thus bringing the key up. and that plastic lost it's shape because of age or long time use. if you want to sea for you're self, buy a balloon, and hold on to it without blowing it. after about 2 weeks you can sea the effect.sorry, can't explain it any better. Re: Help with laptop Hi there, I did try that but it's still happening. I have not found any such issues with JAWS but the thing is I don't use it much. Can it be because I am using some older version of windows. I am not using JAWS because somehow its voice is cracking while speaking. The same problem did happen with my NVDA but I solved this problem by using the Bluetooth add on due to which it stopped. Re: Help with laptop Hi.I can't help with the down arrow problem apart from saying maybe you need to get a key replaced?Have you tried going to the keyboard settings in the NVDA menu and swiching the layout?I use the laptop layout and just switched to PC to test what you said and noticed that what you said is true.If that doesn't help try pressing NVDA plus numbpad 7 until you here, no previous review mode, or NVDA with numbpad 1 to swich through the review modes.
