Re: In need of a certain program, can someone help?
Re: In need of a certain program, can someone help? Here is a program I wrote a long time ago and still use for finding where my disk space is being used:http://BlindGamers.com/downloads/FolderSize.zipIt is nothing fancy. The first text box expects the folder path you want to analyze. After setting that, tab to the Go button and press it.Then wait for a while and when it is done it shows a message box with how long it took. Then there will be a tree view that orders folders and files by the amount of disk space they consume. You can expand folders that take up a lot of space to see what inside them is taking up all that space. The program just shows you where the disk space is being used, it does not remove files for you. There is also a textbox that has 100 in it, that is the minimum size in bytes that will cause a node to get added to the treeview. And there is an Async button, don't use it, I'm not s ure it works.Hope this helps someone, but I'm sure there are plenty of better tools out there. Re: In need of a certain program, can someone help? The right way to deal with this windows.old $SySReset folder is to open up the official disk cleaner, select the clean up system files, and wait again for it to detect what it can remove: Select windows.old etc, and you will get your space back from the OS. I only use CCleaner once in a while: I've had that thing corrupt settings for things. If you wanted to be super paranoid about free space, after you run the official system cleaner, you could run CCleaner with CC enhancer on top of that. I've lost windows mail settings and such shit from other people: So be warned that your milage may vary. Usually if I care to do things like this it's on a fresh install before I do anything else once the system has all updates etc. URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=297064#p297064 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector

Re: In need of a certain program, can someone help?
Re: In need of a certain program, can someone help? There are programs which aim to do exactly that, but I don't know how accesible they are. I should probably try one though, as my SSD only has 3 gigs of space left on it. It's a 120 gB SSD. I know I have a lot of software on here but not a hundred gigs worth... Re: In need of a certain program, can someone help? Try to check your temp folder in the windows directory. If it holds too much space, do a disk cleanup.
