Ya may want to delete this topic, and repost it in the feedback forum room instead.Honestly though,  I truly doubt Richard and Sander who both owns this site, would have the time to implement all those changes.

Well do you expect? Go look at other websites there will probably be at least one violation in every website out there. Nobody's perfect.

Re: The Audio Games Forum does not Conform to the WCAG Guidelines?

So would you like to see this website destroyed just because you've found a few guidelines this site doesn't follow? How would react if people started pointing out the shortcomings of the reality software' website? If you are that concerned I'm sure the moderators would love you to write code to fix these problems. If we had computers to write code for us we wouldn't have these problems but humans write the code so there will be some problems.

Re: The Audio Games Forum does not Conform to the WCAG Guidelines?

Moderation! I have moved this topic sinse it is related to the forum. @Ethin, the problem with these automated tests is that they are none specific, indeed for all I know they could be referring to the google add panels.  If they don't say where! the problem is, how exactly is it supposed to be fixed? For example, the guidelines say "provide graphical representations of images" and yet there are to my knolidge only two graphics on the site, the audiogames.net logo on the front page, and the "ccreative heroes" link on the forum, and both as you will see have labels. So, without clearer information about where these so called violations are it's a little difficult to actually apply anything. Then of course, there is the question of whether in fact the things flagged up by the testing are really! access problems, or just things the testing doesn't pick up on. A similar issue is had with the sites in the top 25 list on
7-128 software, indeed it's quite funny that sites so regularly used and often designed by Vi gamers such as Gma games and Pcs games are getting these weerd so called access errors, which rather makes me question the testing process. For all the automated tests in the world though, we have the best accessibility testing there could be, lots of people with access tech using the site, and according to that! test everything is fine, or at least if it isn't then someone has been very! quiet for the last ten years .

Re: The Audio Games Forum does not Conform to the WCAG Guidelines?

Can we not shoot the messenger please? If nothing else, this topic is an opportunity to have a conversation about the accessibility of the site for all those interested in audio games.  Sure it works well.  Could it work better?  I don't know, I'm not for instance a low vision user who might well have different access needs than do I.

Re: The Audio Games Forum does not Conform to the WCAG Guidelines?

I am kind of weary about the testing process too, now that I think about it. I'm not deleting this topic, though. It does allow people to discuss accessibility.I think that rule you mentioned, dark, was the ad panels.

Re: The Audio Games Forum does not Conform to the WCAG Guidelines?

@violinist, I wasn't personally intending to shoot anyone,  I just think if this testing is to be helpful it needs to be a little better defined as to what is exactly wrong and where the problem is so that it can be fixed.@Ethin,  for obvious reasons the add panels aren't exactly something we have control over, one reason why they're stuck down at the bottom where they shouldn't affect anyone. Btw, I don't know why people constantly talk about deleting topics just because things didn't work out as expected, any matter of discussion really can't hurt, indeed the only times I've deleted topics is when they've descended into the flames, and only then when things have got so bad that a scorched earth stratogy was needed .
