Re: Viber Messenger Indeed, they update it a lot and it changes a lot after every update. There was a time when i had to use it, but only with a blind fellow so there was no problem with stickers. But it didn't really work well with low connection, it always scratched or how to say and at those times, voice went reeeally low quality, although other programmes solve it differently and those are better. So viber is not bad, but not the best, if you don't wanna use facetime then use whatsapp, messenger or skype. Even skype is more accessible than viber's windows version, so i don't know why people cry about that skype isn't that accessible... I know an older version is always better but world is full of changes. I just find it difficult to understand how an app can have 13.2 percent of the earths population when Facebook has 23.10 percent of it. The program is unstable and the interface changes frequently.3. The application is screen-reader unfriendly.In my experience, Viber drains the battery too fast while using it for video calls. One day, I remember having given my phone to my mum to talk to my aunt who lives in France. In one and a half hour, the battery had reached 10% when in fact it had been 100% before the video call had started. I can have two and a half hour if I use WhatsApp for the same purpose. The interface changes frequently. Sometimes, there is an action button next to a chat; other times you can use the roter for actions like delete chat, mark as unread, and so on.And lastly, Viber is Voiceover unfriendly. The braille screen input doesn't work at all, there are many unlabeled buttons, and due to the frequent change of the interface, sometimes the roter works, sometimes it doesnt.It can't be compared to WhatsApp. I have noticed that Skype has made significant accessibility enhancements whereas the windows counterpart has experienced the opposite. Ora, people just don't want to take the time to learn the interface or ask the developers to improve set interface.With an application that has over 1 billion users, you would think more blind people would actually want to try and get into a program like this. Re: Viber Messenger Yeah, that's again great, but turning auto labeling on does not mean the app is accessible. Unlabeled buttons is not the only issue. There are unlabeled checkboxes as well, and back when I used it the only way to reliably answer a call was to turn talkback off and then swipe right across the center of the screen. Yes, you could do it with TalkBack on if you swipe with 2 fingers but that's sometimes inaccurate. I will however give it one more try on Android later today and see what I find. I would also like to mention that stickers do not have a screen reader readable label, so when your sighted friend sends you one you have no idea what it means. It's okay for iPhone, it's quite accessible, although it takes dmn lot of storage and that's why i hate it so much. But all in all it's quite good, but wouldn't use it for long.
