If they do it, they will regardless of the poll numbers. The reason why this is so slow on Android probably has to do with a few things, the most important being that Android phones have a bunch of different cameras, some more, some less accurate. The app would be very inconsistent, and the complaints for that would go to MS. If it ever gets release, I expect it would only be available for the flagship phones. That's why, I support Seeing AI, because I know who are the people behind it, and the company backing it is very big, so, they have literally unlimited resources to bring us this app. Do you think 1 of the first companies to reach 1 trillion dollar mark can't even do simple think like this. The problem is not whether this app could be brought to Android or not, the question is that do they have enough demand to bring it to Android. And I don't know but seeing the large user-base of Android, it should be really obvious to Microsoft that we need this app.There are other alternatives, but none come close to Seeing Ai in my experiance. And trust me, I've tried Envision, Speak, KNFB and many others. Either price wise or feature wise, they fall short of Seeing AI. Google LookOut is not available to masses, and I don't think it has been updated in last few months.If they don't come up with an official statement about this, I might go on to make a Change.org petition about it.We are writing comments, sharing posts, getting votes, but what do they reply, "This is a highly requested topic and the Seeing AI team is looking in to this". That's why, I support Seeing AI, because I know who are the people behind it, and the company backing it is very big, so, they have literally unlimited resources to bring us this app. Do you think 1 of the first companies to reach 1 trillion dollar mark can't even do simple think like this. The problem is not whether this app could be brought to Android or not, the question is that do they have enough demand to bring it to Android. And I don't know but seeing the large user-base of Android, it should be really obvious to Microsoft that we need this app.There are other alternatives, but none come close to Seeing Ai in my experiance. I am so jealous with IPhone users because of that app.@27: It is not that fast, at least that's what i feel. Besides, it's not officially available for most of phones that we use, only expensive phones. Hell Seeing AI has more functionality and faster recognition than Google LookOut. With Microsoft's resources there is no earthly reason they couldn't! make an Android port, and there are enough blind people using android to make this worth doing. I've always been put off by the subscription models for recognition aps myself, which is why I hadn't tried one until Seeing eye, which has been pretty handy sometimes, especially during lockdown, considering someone else is currently doing most of our shopping.
