Here's an interesting tidbit I just heard on Freedom Scientific's podcast.For most people, they have until the end of July to get the free Windows 10 upgrade if they want it.But apparently Microsoft is extending the free upgrade period for people using assistive technology, such as a screen reader or magnifier. I don't have all the details yet about how to qualify for the upgrade extension, or how long the extension is, but it's apparently on Microsoft's web site. Now I have my free Windows 10 product key.I then went back to Windows 7 by reinstalling my SSD.I will eventually upgrade to Windows 10, but as long as this install of Windows 7 keeps working, I'll keep using it.When the time comes that I have to reinstall Windows, I'll upgrade to Windows 10 then. If you're a JAWS user, when you search something in the start menu, and the search result pops up, jaws doesn't want to read it. I don't know if it's fixed with the newer version of JAWS, but when I was using jaws 17 first version that just release, the start menu search result bug doesn't fix yet.
