Re: Removing mcafee

I would get sighted help to get past the CAPTCHA because the uninstaller is the best way to remove it. After the uninstall go back to Programs and Features in the control panel and look for other McAfee products and uninstall them. Keep repeating until all the McAfee stuff is gone. Most McAfee and Symantec products install a bunch of other crap with their products, but force you to uninstall each piece of crap separately.I've never heard of a CAPTCHA in an uninstall before, but count on McAfee to put one in there to make it harder to remove their garbage. I swear, both McAfee and Symantec are worse than viruses when you don't want them.

Re: Removing mcafee

A more extreme sollution, if you're running windows 10 is to recet the pc. Then everything will be removed and you can start clean, and it doesn't require things like windows PE:You go to the settings app, then to update and security, then to recovery, then to the get started button. Follow the instructions onscreen, then after it begins recetting wait 20 minutes to an hour depending on your laptop's speed. Then hit windows + enter to start narrator, follow prompts onscreen (when you have the choise to customize settings you should do so to set certin privacy options to off), then you are on a desktop, with no bloatware.

Re: Removing mcafee

Strange this one is, cause I also bought a new computer five days ago which had installed Mcafee in it, and I could remove it from C cleaner. The Mcafee uninstaller started, and there was nothing you are describing there. I just clicked remove all, and the uninstallation started but lasted about 20 minutes and then it was away from my PC, hopefully!

Removing mcafee

Hi,My pc came installed with Mcafee web security live or something like that but I can't remove it. There is a pane in the uninstaller but nothing else. I think there is a firewall, too. because it blocks btsync and windows firewall says mcafee is handling those settings. As a last resort, I will delete the program from the program files folder. Please help. Mcafee uninstaller asks for an image captcha. I really don't know what to do.
