Re: paladin gameplay @Hanif, first, was Jayde's recording a walkthrough, ie a recording with him commenting on where to go and what to do, or a playthrough, ie, just a recording of the game audio with no hints or speech. The latter I couldn't see as that helpful, especially in all those exploration sections.Also, sinse the main paladin of the sky topic hass about 1200 posts, perhaps some more direction would be helpful, (I tried using the site search but no luck, indeed maybe Jayde could post another link to his recording whatever is in answer to either of these topics. Go and look at a clock, remember how it's said that the journey to planet zopolis will take two days? The further time has advanced, the farther through the game you are. You guys generally don't mind that I will be using NVDA with an Eloquence driver for speech; I refuse to use NVDA's base voice, the one it comes with;2. You don't expect me to talk through absolutely every battle. During grind sessions or very repetitive boss fights, I might go quiet once I explain how things work;3. You can tell me how best to record a walkthrough. I have a Logitek G35 USB headset which has a good mic on it, I've used it for Skype and such, but I literally have no idea how to record both the sound coming out of the headset's speakers and the sound going in via the mic. When it comes to recording audio, I'm a complete n00b, but I'm willing to learn and reasonably tech-savvy.If all of those things are true, or can be true, then I'd be happy to run through the game. I'd pe rhaps split the playthrough into chunks of anywhere from twenty to sixty minutes for easier grabbing, and I would keep inane chatter to a minimum. I could explain a bit about the more complex bosses, explain a bit of where I'm getting secret items and generally make sure there aren't huge long segments where I'm not talking, but if you expect me to be wowed by the game and to sing its praises at every turn, I can't and won't. Any playthrough I make for any game is bound to have some sarcasm and stuff in it, that's the sort of person I am.That being said, do let me know how I might be able to record audio properly, and I will see what I can do. And, to an extent, absolutely nothing substitutes for fast timing; I can beat a boss because my timing is good, but you might struggle on the same boss.Also, let me know if you guys want normal or hard mode. I haven't actually noticed a difficulty spike in hard mode, and there are two extra dice...so yeah. Re: problem with paladin again Hello,I just downloaded your save file and had a go at the Analytics boss battles.Right now they're just impossible, your Kelly just isn't strong enough."Mankind's Downfall" (the wood eating monster) is a highly aggressive enemy with limited defensive capabilities. Creator of errors is the exact opposite.In the case of Mankind's Downfall, a perfect embodyment of righteousness from Kelly is hitting for about 45 percent of the bosses health, yet the boss's attacks do more than half of hers. I'd say you need at least four more levels on Kelly. At least level her up until she avails her next scroll (which I think she gets at around level 45). It's much stronger than embodyment of righteousness and will go a long way in helping you defeat these enemies. The extra strength and health don't exactly hurt either. Just run around the restaurant fighting whatever enemies show up. They're not the greatest unfortuna tely (compared to what the tower of regret would have given you) but you don't have any other options while you're stuck in the dream sequence.You're about 2/3 of the way through the game and from this point on, the level expectations go up really quickly so you'll need to spend some time leveling in order to avoid falling behind. I thought the only things you could fight were Creator of Errors, the weird sequence of letters and numbers that you can usually one-shot, and the monster called bug in the code, or some such.but yeah, your Kelly's stats sound too low. This is why I always, always kill all the ghosts in Tower of Fear. I hit level 57-60 by the time I'm at that point in the game, and everything else is a joke. Re: problem with paladin again Mankind's Downfall is way off to the righthand side of the room. It's a hard hitter that can't take much in return. Kelly is unlikely to survive two hits from it at full health but at a good level she will do more than half of it's health in one shot.@Jade, do you generally take on all of the extra battles in the Tower of Truth boss (everyone VS. everyone) or do you stop when it gives you the chance after Ross's battles?Myself I've done that everytime, and it puts my characters at level 40 or so going in to the Tower of Regret. After that I just train Ross, Kelly and Shauna, dropping Ross like a hot potato straight away after Stella's fight.Truth be told I could probably even drop Kelly after Analytics and finish the game with just Shauna because she's crazy OP and there are no more boss battles that require specific people.I like to return for the ghosts much later on when I can one shot them with a dice attack from Stella. That way I can finish all of them in ~45 minutes or so. Paladin of the Sky question
Paladin of the Sky question I'm stumped.I have made it all the way to the Tower of Judgment third floor. I have trailed everything, and for some reason, I am unable to find the stairs of any kind that leads to the 4th floor, assuming there are any. I have ended up using the save crystal right after the three sets of falling tiles. I am taking notes of what I'm doing so I can eventually do a Let's Play with audio commentary and possibly while streaming live. Problem is, I feel like I"ve looked everywhere and end up taking myself back around in loops.Any help would be appreciated? Paladin Help Battle VS Stella I'm at the battle against Stella, and I'm using "Final Shot" to damage her. Problem I'm having is with the timing window. It seems that even thoug the placement of the button press is changed, the timing window is too. Sometimes I can be on time with the button press, and I'll fail the scroll cast. However, I can be nearly a half second late and it'll register. Of course this is not always the case, but it seems like the timing window is fluctuating as well as the beep location. I wonder though, is the beep locations randomly generated, or does it follow a pattern? Paladin Of The Sky Registration So, all these Paladin Of The Sky topics made me want to take the game out and play it. However, here's the thing. My registration information doesn't work, and I think VG Storm said they don't give replacement unlock keys. I had it registered on an old computer, and am now trying to register it on this one. Can it only be registered once each time you buy it? If so, how should I go about getting it working? I can't uninstall it from my old computer, since the motherboard broke and the computer no longer works. Each time I register the game, it just brings me back to the name edit box after I type it in. If I escape that, it goes back to the main menu and the register option is still their, wich means the game is still in demo mode, or at least that's how I think it is. Paladin of the sky replay questions Hi all, I've decided to play Paladin of the sky again after a few years, and I want to play through it as 100 percentish as I can. I have two questions:1. In this one tower in heaven, there is a huuuge hall with hundreds of those shadows you can kill. This is the one time in the game I can think of where killed enemies stay death. So, is there any point in clearing the whole room? It seems like a daunting task with no fun at all, but if there is any cutscene or text when you do it or if you get a trophy or something, I might consider it.2. Speaking of trophies: Can you actually get a few trophies during the main game? I hate, hate, hate that voice. I've heard dozens over the years, and not even Microsoft Sam comes close to the sheer annoyance I feel when I hear that voice. I don't know why, but there ya go.One day, I hope NVDA decides to use a much better-quality voice as its default, because that one's just awful. Me, I'm using Eloquence for it, which may not be everyone's cup of tea but definitely works for me.I, too, have considered doing a walkthrough of this game, but I don't have the right gear to record and play properly, I don't think. I've beaten it a couple of times now.And, the only reason I mentioned the voice you're using is because anyone listening to your playthrough is going to hear a huge ton of that voice. It's n ot just occasional background chatter. It's pretty much what you're stuck with for the whole game...bad dialogue, shoddy descriptions, attack explanations and all. All filtered through that voice, and that's...ugh, I shudder at the very thought.This isn't a crack at you. Either you like the voice or you have no other options, and that's cool. But personally if I needed a walkthrough, I wouldn't listen to yours if you used that voice. It would bother me that much. After I left from heaven, they really had good food there, I went to sleep with ross, I went prast the crisscrossing of corridors and then, Kelly and her dream in my whai, I killed something in the restaurant, and then the dream dissolved.I saved my game at a checkpoint, and... bum! storyline showing up. a demon was torturing ross and I needed to use a character to beat him. the problem is, whatever I do, his health remains the same. any hints or clues? If didn't get my key because of a typo, but I asked for it and was able to get it. I think the name and registration key are also case sensitive. Keep that in mind. problem with Paladin of the Sky So i've just started playing paladin of the sky again but I have a slight problem. When I downloaded and installed and everything, everything works except... my settings aren't really getting saved when I select save changes in the settings. No matter if it's speech related or game related, like the dragon strike key, whatever I change gets reset right back to defaults when I restart the game. I've tried everything from running the game as administrator and changing the settings, hitting save changes many times, with no result, it doesn't even say changes saved. I don't recall having this problem with my windows 7 machine back in the day. I'm wondering if POTS and windows 10 really don't go that well together? When I change things, I have to change everything right back at next restart because it's not saving any settings.Anyone else having the same problem, and could this be some sort of bug? lost in paladin of the sky Hi!I think I need some help in paladin of the sky. I am in Rosses' second dream, in the 12th floor of.. well... actually I'm not sure about the end but I hope you see where I am.This is quite simple actually. I know I've allready completed this maze once, cause my last saved game was somewhere after this challenge, but I can't remember how to cross it. It's two years now since I last went through this part of the game.Does anyone remember its structure ?Also, I've missed two galactic dust so far. I know that, with all of them, I'll be able to grant access to a new area. I've missed one in the church's third floor, so I'll probably be able to get it later, but one more in xopolis' market, in Kelly's first dream. Stuck in Paladin of the Sky. Hey Guys,I've been having tons of fun with Paladin of the Sky, but inevitably I've become stuck. I believe my game may be glitching. I am in the Organ Room after making it through the undisturbed sanctuary, and there are no enemies or bosses. There is only an organ at the top of the map that does not respond to input.
