Re: problem with sound in reaper
Re: problem with sound in reaper I don't think it will help. We're at the end of what I can tell you. I still suspect it's misconfigured, but I can't do anything more from this end. Re: problem with sound in reaper
Re: problem with sound in reaper I would say it's a misconfiguration problem. I don't think the VST is the issue here as it seems to not be doing much of anything. You could try to import a file into a blank project. Double tap insert if on NVDA, otherwise go to insert> media file. Pick something and then once it's imported, hit W to go to the start of the project and hit space. It should say play, and you should hear whatever it is. I suspect you won't though. The next step is to hit CTRL + P then find the tree view and go to devices. You'll want to make sure that the output device matches your speakers and not something like HDMI audio or something like that. You might also try changing the audio system. I use WASAPI because it's low latency, but some people seem to have issues with it. Re: problem with sound in reaper
Re: problem with sound in reaper hello remias I can see; I maybe have a fiew ideas to fix your problem: depending on if your using vb audio cable; or a normal output deviceif your using virtual audio cable you need to have the record input; line one; line two or what ever it is: listening to your speakers your using as your default; or mostly used; device: if you don't know how to do it let me knowif you set your output device in reaper pref's to your speakers; maybe it mite be your vst settingsalso; check if your fx is bypassed: if it is; press b; to make it activeif for some reason everytime you oepn a vst it bypasses the auddio: that meens you have the autobypassing of vst audio: to fix this; go torepaer pref's: control p; there is a treeview box: just press v until you here vst's; then press tab: keep pressing tab until you here a checkbox sayingBypass audio while opening plug-in config window (good for some non-threadsafe VSTs) check box if you here that checkbox says it's checked; uncheck it: it's only used for vsts that output a very hi volume sound when loadedif that's all ready unchecked...your on your ownsorry to be an ass like this; but I never expeerienced any problems like that before so I am not relaly sure how to fix your problem: =if you can tell what virtual instrument your trying to open; I mite have info on it URL: https://forum.audiogames.net/post/566771/#p566771 -- Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector

Re: problem with sound in reaper
Re: problem with sound in reaper This could be any number of things. First of all, can you hit space a few times and see what happens. If it say stop stop stop, that's an issue with your input and output sample rates not matching. To fix this, go to the run dialog and type mmsys.cpl. Find the device that reaper is using for it's output in that list and then go to properties and look under the advanced tab. Note what it says there about the sample rate. Then back out of that and hit control tab once you're in the main window of mmsys to go to the recording tab. Pick the mic that is reaper's input and go into properties and make sure it matches under advanced. If the rates don't match, make them. If the mic won't go as high as the speakers, you'll have to lower the speakers to match the mic.The other thing it could be is that you're not properly adding it to the track. The process should look like this. Insert > insert virtual instrument on new track, then pick it. Doing it this way configures the track to accept midi input, to be armed, and turns on the record monitoring so you can hear it.Try those and let me know if any of that fixes it before we move onto other things.
