I've been interested in trying the small PS Audio digital amp: http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=PSTRTA100 You can find them used on audiogon for about $600. -- gregeas gregeas's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5877 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40791 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles

Thanks -- they look very interesting. A little more powerful than perhaps I need and a little more expensive than I had hoped, but definitely one to go on the audition list. They even have a 30-day return policy. muski -- muski SB3-Bryston BP25DA-Bryston 4B SST-Wilson Watt Puppy 7 Transporter via XLR-Headroom Max Balanced Headphone Amp-Balanced AKG701s HD650s muski's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3670 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40791 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
[SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Looking for a small balanced mono amplifier...
I am thinking about getting a pair of Amphion Ion speakers for a desktop/nearfield system. I would feed them from my Transporter via my Headroom Max Balanced headphone amp, which, since it has balanced outputs, can effectively act as a preamp. The Amphion Ions need between 20-120 watts, but I guess probably 50W is probably plenty for nearfield use. What I would really like is a pair of small, balanced mono amps, no bigger than 6 square. Does anyone know of anything like this?
