[SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Re: Question about Spouses?
My wife used to make her desire for attention known by sitting next to me on the couch and subtly jabbing her elbow or knee into me. It took me a couple years but I finally wised up and got rid of the couch. Now all we have are chairs. No more pain... my wife doesn't understand how putting a speaker behind a couch or having the arm of the couch blocking part of a speaker can compromise the sound. or why i 'HAVE' to place the speakers where i want them to be. then again, given in a few months i will have my own 'entertainment' room, i can slug it out for now. My wife likes music okay, just not most of my music. especially when i just sit there in the middle of the room listening and not paying attention to her. -- drewe181 drewe181's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8129 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30541 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles

My wife really did get what I was on about when I was researching the Squeezebox (you know, ripping music to FLAC, tagging it all, playing with SlimServer etc). Just looked to the ceiling, and said boys toys... When I finally got the squeezebox and got it all working, she was converted. 1. My wife bought me my Squeezebox for Christmas last year. 2. She put up with me spending beaucoup hours ripping our CD collection. 3. She put's up with my endless tweaking of the system. 4. She let me rearrange the living room to try to find the best place for the speakers. 5. She let's me listen to whatever I want as loud as I want (although she turns it down if I leave the room).
