I was away for two weeks and rather then use the Transporter in my BIG rig (see signature below) and my extensive music library my wife just used the voice controlled Amazon Echo and Amazon Music - so I fully understand your frustration pablolie. Arny was not at this fora for a very long time , but imo he was very welcome. So i did not know him well . We need more proponents of critical Thinking not less rip. I have tried the search a bit of his history, sadly you only get the bad stuff from unchecked foras that did not treat hom well. Glad to see the obituary that made the affiliation was th ABX clear. Sorry to hear this. He had a disruptive communication style, I think sometimes that was good, sometimes not. In any case I learned from him. I got the impression he'd had some hard times. I am disappointed by the lack of response by most forum members to Arny's death. Arny may have come across asa curmudgeonly old bugger, but he was a knowledgeable & thoroughly decent block beneath the crusty exterior he chose to use from time to time. This forum will undoubtedly be a poorer place without him... [SlimDevices: Audiophiles] arnyk RIP
He hadn't posted in here for a while, but thought I would pass on the sad news that Arnold B. Krueger (known here as arnyk) passed away last Thursday (3rd May). I'm sure many of us will remember that his debating style could get a bit combative, but he was always genuinely trying to educate by passing on the benefit of his extensive experience. Despite the fact I had a few run-ins with him, I will miss his contributions - they were always worth reading, even when they made my blood boil! RIP Arny.
