Merged, thanks.

Hello,

I looked up some information...

Axiom has been forked in 2007 into
FriCAS and OpenAxiom.

yes

So, Axiom and OpenAxiom are the same.

no, that conclusion is false. Both projects exist and are more or less active.
They are even using different programming languages internally (Arcor vs SPAD).

Nevertheless there are two AUR-packages with OpenAxiom,
and the mentioned licenses (in the package description)
differ.

How will such a case be handled?

The wrong one should (GPL) be changed by the maintainer.

Please merge python-you-get-git[1] into you-get-git[2] as it's used
primarily as a tool, not as a library.

+1 for vagrant, it's really useful!

-1 for ceph, I experienced data loss last time I tried it on a small
test-cluster. (Reported a bug. It's probably fixed now, but I still
don't trust it).

Jonathan, if you should be interested in feedback/comments/PKGBUILD
testing in connection with vagrant, I would be happy to help out.

I support adding Ceph. There are professional appliances based on Ceph.
We have a cluster running (in my company) since one year and we didn't
have lost any data.

Here, using it in production is not the point. Having Ceph in community
would help to test and use remote cluster from Arch. So, +1.

[aur-general] [Merge Request] qwtpolar and qwtpolar-svn

2014-03-07 Thread Saulteau Don
Afternoon TU's.

Seeking guidance and advice, I'd like to propose that qwtpolar-svn[1]
be merged into qwtpolar[2] in the AUR if I'm following procedures
properly here =)

I'm trying to clean these qwtpolar packages up a bit.

They were both recently orphaned so I upgraded qwtpolar[2] to latest
release which is also the same as qwtpolar-svn[1].

1. They are not the same, one pulls from a branch, the other pulls from trunk.
2. When pulling from trunk, -svn is the correct name.
3. You are using a very old PKGBUILD template. Please see

Merged.

Re: [aur-general] Move vagrant and ceph to [community]?

2014-03-07 Thread WorMzy Tykashi
I notice that the AUR ceph package installs non-systemd initscripts,
would moving this package to community upset some of the anti-systemd
users, or would the non-systemd initscripts be kept as a part of the
package or split off to an independent AUR package?

In any case, I'd like to see ceph re-uploaded with devtools-friendly
files (i.e. 644 permissions instead of 600). The inclusion into
community/ would be nice, if only because ceph takes a relatively long
time to compile.

Cheers,

WorMzy

[aur-general] Merge requests

2014-03-07 Thread Rikard Falkeborn
Hello,
Please merge/delete the following:

Merge haxe-svn [https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/haxe-svn] into haxe-git [
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/haxe-git] (upstream switched to git)

Merge htop-svn [https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/htop-svn] into htop-git [
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/htop-git] (upstream switched to git)

Delete https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/osgocean-git/ (or possible merge
into [https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/osgocean-git/]. According to
maintainers comment, it was uploaded by mistake and should have been an
svn-package. The packages has no votes and no comments except for one
saying it was accidently uploaded as a -git package.

Best regards,
