hi hugo,

sorry for causing so much trouble with your package.
i could have seen it was a dependency in the AUR webinterface.
i'll be more careful next time.
sorry again and have a good time.

Yeah, my bad. Curiosity got the better of me after reading the thread,
so I checked out the package to see if it was still there, and what
state it was in; but then I couldn't find any way to disown without
pushing first and using the web interface, which I didn't want to do
because then I'd be listed as the submitter, which wouldn't be fair.
'ssh a...@aur.archlinux.org restore' didn't work: 'restore: package
base exists: python2-radicale'. Sorry for the inconvenience, Hugo.

You would have been listed as the submitter even if the pkgbase would
have been disowned instead of deleted. Anyway, in the future you can go
directly to the pkgbase page[0] and request a deletion from there.

It's a well written PKGBUILD, with one minor niggle -- arch should be
an array, not a string. I don't think you pushed your v1.0.1 update
before it was deleted though (or if you did, it wasn't part of the git
history).

Cheers,

WorMzy

This will not restore comments (or votes) though.

AUR 4 does not actually delete the packages, they are just hidden in the
web interface.
You should be able to clone and push them again.
I don't know if you have to change the package or not,
in case you need, just bump the pkgrel

Nope. I can pull, but not push:

$ git push
git-receive-pack: permission denied: hobarrera
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

For some reason AUR user WorMzy had created an empty pkgbase without
actually pushing a package, which isn't the first time I've seen it
done.. Anyway, I deleted the empty pkgbase, should be able to push now.

Hi guys,
my bad and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I've missed your discussion
and as the original request seemed allright I went ahead accepting it.

I bet most of us are. Not missing to read all the messages

Yes, quoting the aur-requests mail:

i have to mark here, the discussion came to conclusion, that this
package is still needed and the request (filed by me) was regarded resolved.
is there any log, where we ordinary users can see, what TU to adress
with a complaint now?

Even after the following discussion on aur-requets, python2-radicale was
deleted. There's not a full tree of broken packages, since this
dependency is missing.

I'm amazed at how the TU ignored the whole thread AND the fact that
other packages explicitly depend on this one.

Can we have this package restored?
