Subject: [Aus-soaring] GFA website

To the fount of all wisdoms

I hope you can clarify for me -
(because I have not had to tippy-toe in the GFA website previously)

The front page tells me I can create a member account which then enables
all sorts of wonders

but the member login it refers me to doesn't exist on the buttons provided
and the login only offers reminders for username and password
(which don't exist because there is no member account)
and so round and round we go.
The IT contact given on the front page hasn't got an .org extension, so it
bounces.

It would seem that I can't do business with GFA.
(Yes, I have asked the harried staff within the organisation).

2015-10-21 Thread emilis prelgauskas

Thank you all for the feedback

As Tim advises me, there is the straight login as noted below, which
seems to makes the 'account' path as described on the front page
unnecessary (?), but I have struck 'incorrect username or password'
elsewhere.

Re: [Aus-soaring] GFA Website

2014-03-09 Thread Ross McLean
Hi Mark

From the GFA Home page click GFA Members Info/Airworthiness/Docs/Forms

That will take you to the Google Drive page for AW Documents or simply click
on the following link:

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BzvOakkAvohCVmIwNkZxai0wY3M
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BzvOakkAvohCVmIwNkZxai0wY3Musp=sha
ringtid=0BzvOakkAvohCT1ZWbHJjdDliWEE
usp=sharingtid=0BzvOakkAvohCT1ZWbHJjdDliWEE

Then click on the AW Forms Icon, that will present all the forms available
on the Google Drive. Select the document you want by clicking on its icon,
that will open the document. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is
an arrow on the right hand bottom corner that says Download. Click on the
arrow and save the document on your PC or open it right there.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mark,

If you can see the folder, click the document you want (single click).

Then in Chrome there is a download button (looks like a down arrow) at
bottom right. In Firefox it is top right.

If there is no button then it is perhaps the settings in your browser
preventing it from appearing.

How is the GFA [all of us ] to do this? I don't pay my subs for the office
staff to constantly check that clubs give correct info, someone in each club
could check that!

It looks like you have done it for NSW, well done! Now why don't you contact
those clubs and get them to fix it with the GFA office? ;]
With recent losses don't expect the website to run itself.

On another note : would all organisers please put your events on the GFA

Incredibly slow response times when logging in and also when moving from page

Am being told by the GFA Office that they are not aware of other members

You're definitely not on your own Kevin. I probably get to 'totally frustrated'
but generally persevere with it to get the bare essentials.

The site works like it is probably served on location on the offices server.
Limited bandwidth + other users accessing information locally will contribute
to slow serving of pages.

Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong.

You're definitely not on your own Kevin. I probably get to 'totally
frustrated' but generally persevere with it to get the bare essentials.

The site works like it is probably served on location on the offices server.
Limited bandwidth + other users accessing information locally will contribute
to slow serving of pages.

Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong.

  Kindest Regards

  Grant Davies

  Subject: [Aus-soaring] GFA Website (iMIS)

I have consistently had problems using the GFA website since it was changed
to the new format.

Incredibly slow response times when logging in and also when moving from page
to page once logged in ... I usually just give up in frustration.

Am being told by the GFA Office that they are not aware of other members
experiencing this problem.

  Am I the only one?

  Regards,

  Kevin Rodda

PS: I am using Internet Explorer 8 as my browser.

Re: [Aus-soaring] GFA Website (iMIS)

2011-08-07 Thread Terry Neumann

G'day Kevin (and innocent bystanders),

Very quick response from the GFA site here Kevin - in fact notable
faster than several other sites I paddle through ...

Using Firefox and good ol' Win XP in a fairly modest desktop (say about
Ka6 performance) (not that there's anything wrong with a Ka6 - other
than that I haven't flown one for around 20 years or more sigh...).

regards,
TN

PS Was going to suggest Blanik performance but thought better of it =-O
