[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] AccountInterval Upload

2005-08-05 Thread Asrar Ahamed

Hello everybody,

I uploaded Chart of Accounts and I would like to upload the Totals range for Account Type Total. I have created the template by using AccountInterval Table. This table contains the following fields:

Table:
Record ID:
From:GL Account No.
To : GL Account No.
Invert Sign: No

Could anybody tell me what should I enter in Table and Record ID?

Your help is appreciated.

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] AccountInterval Upload

2005-08-05 Thread Jason Crook

Just A guess haven't even looked at it ,but it Table id is
probably the ledgertable num(if you areusing the ledgertable),and
For the rec/More than likely Accountrecid You need to get the Rec id of the
Ledgertable Account that you want the totals to be Mapped to. i.e.)Copy the
ledgertable into excel (This way you will have a map of the Ledgeraccount and
the related Recid)
Hope it helps

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Master Scheduling: Error Messages

2005-08-05 Thread Philip R. Freimann
I have the following error messages at the end of the Master
scheduling run. There are no item specific error messages. These
are the only messages. Can someone tell me what they mean? Do they
mean the explosion did not complete? If so where did it stop or how
much did it complete?

Master scheduling
Cannot edit a record in Item table (InventTable)
The record has never been selected.

 Item levels are not updated.

 Item coverage is updated.

Thanks - we're new to Axapta Master scheduling.

2005-08-05 Thread Maurice Cohen
Title: Message

Hi,

You must pay for additional financial
dimensions not for item or storage dimensions. For those you just can add them
yourself in code. I guess someone already helped you with that.

Thanks Barry,

I want to add an
'invenotry dimension' I(Warehouse, location, batch number) not a 'finanical
dimension' (department, cost centre, purpose)which I think is what you are
referring to when you say you must pay for extra dimensions (can someone
confirm additional 'inventory dimensions' do not require addition to license)

Thanks

Hello James,

My understanding is that
users must pay for extra dimensions as part of the licensing.

Is there a reason why you
want to add the dimension only in the inventory section, and not across the
whole Axapta product?

Barry.

James,

Are you trying to:

1. Add a new dimensional field

2. Add a new dimensional value to an existing
dimensional field?

Barry.

there any document to describe adding an storage inventory dimension to Axapta

I can only find about adding a new FINANCIAL dimension but not invenotry
dimension.

I would appreciate if
anyone can help me find this document (if it exists) or adivse from your

riskysuch a modification is.

Thanks

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: SQL script to do record count

2005-08-05 Thread axnbie
SQL Server has an inbuilt functionality that will give you this
information. on the enterprise manager right click on the database
and select View - taskpad. This will give you 3 tabs of database
related information. The table info tab will provide the list of all
the tables and their record count. You have to remember that this
record count on a table represents all Company records.

Exactly. Just create a small job that runs through all BOM lines and lookup
each itemid. The ones, that do not exist in InventTable, will create
problems.

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Master Scheduling: Error Messages

2005-08-05 Thread Subrahmanyam, Mamidi

Hi Philip,

I suggest you to do following. As you are aware, since we also migrated huge volume of SAP to axapta, we too have these kind of problems due to bad data.

as per my experience , I suggest you to do the following.

1. As Jens mentioned you can write a simple job to get the info log of all the missing items.
However, at the same time you may need to check reqItemTable, InventItemlocation etc ect for that missing items.

2. I strongly suggest to run consistency check for the whole company on all the modules. Its very important to run consistency check after you migrated the data. Eventhough consistency check will not tell everything, but defintely catch these kind of problems.

Best of Luck.

Thanks,
subbu
