I just checked and the material I have is Microsoft Copyright stuff, and as
such, would be unethical/illegal to transfer to anyone :(
My apologies for being naive on this issue in my previous email. Please feel

again to everyone.

Hi can anyone give some feedback on the server spec planned for a customer.

It is only an 8 concurrent user license for normal trade (no production) and
all is across the LAN. The server will be the AOS and SQL server.

Planned:

IBM x3400 64bit Intel Xeon 5110 Dual Core Processor, 4MB Level2 cache, 2 x

The company is only about 20 people so I was wondering is it a good idea to
take the small business server rather than individual W2003 and SQL 2005
license? Is there any thing to be aware of in such a configuration?

Thanks

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Setting security per company without domains

Hello,
we need to give different rights for one user when working with
different companies in Axapta. For example, the user is a sales person

requirement without buying Domains? I am thinking about using Record

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Error 100: Cannot create another system semaphore

2006-12-06 Thread Karen

Hi Christoph,

Look in your Control Panel Administrative Tools Event Viewer
Application, for more details on the error message.

Most likely, you do not have the service running/permissions to access
yr db.

Ensure:

1) you have the SQL Server service up and running
2) the login account starting yr AOS service has necessary
permissions/roles to yr db (same as on source db)

Hope this helps =)

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Difference between Sales Order and Sales Journal

2006-12-06 Thread James Flavell
Sales journal does not make any inventtrans records.

It's the same as if you made the sales order type 'journal'

Good for things like import sales orders since you don't have to worry about
triggering inventtrans etc. Then you can just convert to sales order and it
will take care of all of that.

Record level security (RLS) requires a lot of setup, but it will do what you
are asking below. You could probably justify to the customer the cost
associated with setting up and maintaining RLS vs. purchasing the domain
license and using standard security keys.

Hi All

I need to generate a report in Axapta for all the users in a particular
domain who have the permission to access a particular session. How can
this be accomplished through standard Axapta. If we cannot do it through
standard Axapta, is there any workaround for this. Thanks for your
suggestions.

Hello guys,

I got this breakup of TL paper when I was preparing for certification (and
yes I cleared :) )
Maybe this is of some help to someone. If anyone needs the training
material, I have some DOCs and PDFs as well, drop me a line.
In my view, exam tests more for practical knowledge as compared to book
knowledge, so its better to keep your practice up to date as well.

Cheers!

Khurram
