[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Opening Balances in AX
Hi, After my experience, the best way is to enter the amounts through journals and then post the journals. (e.g create a counting journal and import all your invetory to that journal and then post it). That's much cleaner than trying to manupulate all the resulting tabels. Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] nedd help for LineNum field in PO / SO
nbsp; Hi This is how the line num concept works in AX. nbsp; If you have lines 1, 2 and 3 when you create a new line keeping your cursor afternbsp;linenbsp;1 then the new line number will be the average of the previous and the next line number. In this example it will be the avg of 1and 2. So the new line number willnbsp;be 1.5. And again if you createnbsp;a new line between these two, the new line number will be the average of 1.5 and 2. And it goes on. If you create your new line at the end of all sales lines, then the new number is a whole number. Hope this info helps you. nbsp; nbsp; --- On Tue, 6/3/08, vijaykarthik K lt;[EMAIL PROTECTED]gt; wrote: From: vijaykarthik K lt;[EMAIL PROTECTED]gt; Subject: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] nedd help for LineNum field in PO / SO To: axapta-knowledge-village@yahoogroups.com Date: Tuesday, June 3, 2008, 3:05 PM Hi, I want to know that, why the LineNum field is maked real datatype in Purchase Line (PO)/ salesLine (SO). bcz i have some question regarding this, 1) Is their anywhere they are using the lineNumber as 1.1000,1.2000, etc. 2) Isnbsp; that possible to acheive the line number like this? if yes, have we do any setting?
