[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Issue in generating a report file using Batch Processing..

2009-09-08 Thread madhubabu_r
Hi All,

We came across an issue where we are trying to automate printing of reports as
files (text file, PDF etc) using batch processing on the server. Printing
reports directly working fine and we are able to generate the files, but when
we are trying to automate the same thing by adding the report batch into batch
queue, the batch gets started and remains in executing stage in batch queue.
The batch task never show any error and never ends as well.

We have found one link while searching on internet, but the solution mentioned
in that is not working.

Your help will be really appreciated! Thanks!

We did modify it. We call transfer sku. It will transfer from one item to
another item.

Manufacturing model stand for process manufacturing too?

Hi,

When looking at process manufacturing you would be looking for recipes and not
BOMS. Process Manufacturing would be using Co Bi-products neither lean or
discrete will have this.

Microsoft have launched a lean manufacturing solution in Ax2009.

To recap

* Process Manufacture - Fullscope

* Discrete - standard Ax

* Lean - Standard Ax in Ax 2009

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] ISSue AX2009 witth Windows Server 2008 and SQL 2008?

2009-09-08 Thread Kevin Krieger
AX uses AD for authentication - while you have AX installed on your laptop,
your laptop is not the domain controller - hence not the authenticating
server. When you log into the domain, your laptop is authenticating to the
domain controller - AX senses the log in and you have access. When you
unplug - you have disconnected from the network AX loses its place.

The only way you can work on your laptop is to install Active Directory on
your local install of Win Server 2008 and put it on a totally new domain. Do
not install then try and connect to your normal domain as you will raise
more issues across the network. You may have to reinstall or repair your
AOS install after this.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Grand Total for a single field in a report

2009-09-08 Thread Anitha S
Hi.

When *Grandtotal* property is set to yes in report, it prints the grand
total for all the numeric fields .
Can this be set as a *field specific*?
Say, among the 5 numeric fields in a report, is it possible to display the
grand total only for 2nd and 4th field.

Any idea??

Regards,
Anitha
